Its really great to see how far the hobby has come. Forty years ago you'd see large scale aircraft but nothing like these. I flew two good sized scale planes back in the day. The "Guillow's" P51B Mustang and the "Royal Kits" F4U-1D Corsair. Both were 60 sized single cylinder engines(OS Max)but they don't compare to the scale planes of today. Fantastic landings from some very talented builders and pilots. I'm a fan!!!
It kills me to admit it but our German / Austrian cousins are without a doubt the finest aeromodellers on the planet! Some truly impressive models flown with sublime control.
Ich habe alle RC Ansätze und Touch Downs genossen. JEDOCH liebte ich es, das ganze Flugzeug bei Annäherung und Landung zu sehen. Danke. I enjoyed all the RC approaches and touch downs. HOWEVER I loved seeing all the full scale air craft on approach and landing. Thank You.
It makes such a change to see some good flying rather than crappy crashes by people who cannot fly, most flyers never practise circuit bashing essential for honing their skills, well done for this positive video watching good landings is far better than any crash videos.
The run way is just beautiful, which would help a lot with the confidence of the pilots I would think, I know it would be for me, plus just great planes, a real pleasure to watch. One more thing I did really appreciate the info on each plane, keep up the good work.
Really nice video, nice to see some great model flying and no annoying music or slow MO, its lovely to see some of the skilful landings and great models, thanks for sharing.
Something very therapeutic about watching aeroplanes land, and what a field and selection of models you have! Wish I lived nearby! Thanks for sharing :)
Now there's the mark of a truly excellent video right there: it generated a whole string of very nice comments ... right here on UA-cam! Very nice videography, best music ever (none), fantastic flying - what's not to love? My favorite comment: "There's something therapeutic about watching planes land."
Obviously great modeling and flying skills on display. Part of the success of these folks is the thought and maintenance of the field. I'm tired of crash videos with warbirds with tiny wheels landing on uncut grass! Very thankful our field looks like yours
I Like watching good landings, rather than crashes. Knowing how difficult it can be to control something you're not riding in, I want to clap along with those at the field. I approve!
beautiful landings by some fine pilots, The grass runways are excellent as well, I did not see one hole anywhere, so a big well done to the maintenance ground crew of these fields.
The Junkers around 8:40 mark... perfect!!!! Fly the decent approach all the way down until ground effect! No level off at 10 feet, decend, level off at 5 feet...ect. maintain that decent rate and THEN...bleed off speed when you're close to the ground so if you do stall, you don't wing tip over! Well done!
excellent, as advertised...and only the beautiful sound of the engines, saved it as a favorite.... just love it when a plane lands so smooth you can't actually notice the moment of contact. I'm learning to land my RC Sukhoi and hope to make all my landings this smooth.
Excellent skills on display here. Something all us flyers can take from watching this is the speed on final approach. You will notice how all the aircraft come in quite fast and this makes control and stability better. Always try to "fly" the aircraft onto the ground. When on the ground friction takes over and it will slow down quite quickly. Don't be afraid to attack the landing strip !!! Love the video.
Very (!) Late in finding and posting but I would like to add my comment which can be summed up in describing the aircraft and Showmanship and skills of both the model aircraft as well as the Full-Sized birds and that word is: PHENOMENAL! CONGRATS to all involved and I wish I could afford to travel overseas for a lengthy holiday with my Special Lady and actually see your flying field and activities at least once!! God Bless to all of you and Fly Safe! Overnout
I would rather watch this video of great landing over bad crashes every time. I don't like seeing such beautiful pieces of art being wrecked almost as much as the pilots do.
Fantastic! It would be interesting to see those RC landing filmed from about 9" - 12" (whatever fits the size of aircraft)above ground level to give an in scale viewpoint .... maybe give the grass a good mow, have an in scale flimsy wind-sock and a few other bits and pieces around, maybe a few of the other aircraft visible as possible, and exclude the operators and shadows from the shot. It could really enhance the impression of reality?
Great to see all the "grease job" landings, thank you for doing and thank you for noting the aircraft that is shown. If I had to pick the "best" landing (most realistic) I think it would be a tie between the #5 Corsair and the Fok DRI with the degree of difficulty going to the Fokker. I think we can learn from watching this: 1) let the airplane do the flying and don't over control and 2) don't be afraid to slow down. Most of the models were too fast on landing - compare to the real airplanes at the end. Nevertheless, these pilots make it all look so easy and I wish I could fly like that. See the crash vids for my flying.
many thanks for your nice comment ... and we must not forget, they are models, not real planes. Mostly the models are too heavy, so you have to land faster. Best regards !!!
Nice models and video! Really awesome to watch. The real planes were a treat for sure. That Cessna at 11:17 however, did NOT have a good landing. It was a little sloppy, wasnt too rough, but not a good landing.
Nice to see these planes being flown by competent pilots, rather than the usual offerings from guys trying to put their planes on the ground while they still have flying speed.
An excellent video of beautiful flying, thank you for putting care and effort into these. The white-on-black font for the captions has good readability and would be even better IMO if it stayed on the bottom of the screen for the duration of the subject aircraft, instead of disappearing after a few seconds.
Nice video i really like that you put in some info and no obnoxious music. Said that a couple of nitpicking, the right spelling for the Russian fighter is Yakovlev (Yak)and the first Bucker biplane landing is the 131 Jungmann
@@RCPLANEVIDEOS You could tell the pilots had a lot of experience and skill. Many of our airports here have more than one runway so I always tried to avoid cross wind landings as much as possible and when i couldn't they were not that pretty.
How nice it is to see a compilation of great landings, and one where nothing gets broken. Well done!
many thanks 😊👍

many thanks for the nice comments - but there are nice models everywhere ;-)
best regards from germany
Remember this is a collection of nice landings. Nice flying without a doubt though
No offence, but please don't be so sure about the rest of the planet. Have you seen my friend Stelios in Greece landing?
StonyRC Don’t forget the Swiss!
StonyRC Austrians? Let’s just say GERMANS.
thank you so much for not ruining this video with music. that was great!
Absolutely wonderful to watch. Thank you so much for posting this video......especially the ending. Brilliant.............and no crashes.
thank you ;-)
Sehr schönes Video. Die Originalmaschinen am Schluss des Videos zu zeigen, war eine tolle Idee.
Vielen Dank 👍👍👍
I never knew I needed a break from crash videos!
many thanks 😊😊👍

thanks for the nice comment ...
great vid - better than all the crash vids
I agree with you !!!
No, crash videos are better.

Virtually anyone can 'crash'...takes great skill to execute the landing.
But some of the crashes make some of my landings look really really good!!

there you are right, the runway must be good!
many thanks
I love to see the German perfection build quality, piloting, and the landings complete different level, they are landings and NOT controlled crashes
many many thanks 😊😊👍
At last some decent landings,a pleasure to watch.
many thanks 😊
It’s nice to see people that can proficiently fly a Rc Plane. 👍
many thanks 😊😊😊
All respect to the builders of these aircraft. It takes very little imagination to see these 'planes as the real thing, as they come in to land.
Thank you very much ☺️👍
I Like watching good landings, rather than crashes. Knowing how difficult it can be to control something you're not riding in, I want to clap along with those at the field. I approve!
many thanks 👍😊
The landings are what shows a pilots' skills the most. Any one can do a loop or a fast fly-bye, it's the landing that shows the best pilots!! ( IMO)
👍👍👍👍
No lol there are also good landers and trash flyers, doing 3D figures and landing is a completely other category
beautiful landings by some fine pilots, The grass runways are excellent as well, I did not see one hole anywhere, so a big well done to the maintenance ground crew of these fields.

oh Yes 😊
You are correct! What could be better. Sights and sounds - loved the "blipping" ignition on the dr.1; the Baron would have been proud.

Magnifique ! Un grand moment, un régal, bravo. Very great, a real treat, bravo !
merci :-)
Pilot in the Fokker waving was excellent, well done that man.
thanks 😊
No novice pilots here. Love how they stick the landings.
many thanks !!!
Great to see the comparisons between models and full size
many thanks!!!
Great video. Loved that Wedell Williams at 1.5 minutes in. But entire video was a pleasure to watch. Thanks for posting.
The model of Wedell is a 20 years old and still beautiful ;-)

thank you very much ☺️🤗
Nicely done. Good to see a positive spin on rc aircraft landings.
oh yes ;-) many thanks !!!

That's a great compilation - well done! The full size birds at the end was a cool touch!
many thanks!
Great video, the hobby needs more videos like this.
many thanks!
Wow... simply amazing models and flying skills.. the Spit at 3:40 was perfection
thanks you ;-)
All the landings are perfect! Thanks for sharing this video!
thank you!
my favorite part is when the plane landed
me too 😊😊😊
Pity those great TopFlite models not available anymore. Great flying, thanks for sharing.
Thank you, but the TopFlite models are still there, have a nice new Hellcat ...
Are the kits also available?
"In Stock" www.horizonhobby.com/storefronts/top-flite
but not in all shops, has Topflite a problem?! 🤔

Very nice video, and a phenomenal collection of aircraft.

the sound on some of these planes is awesome. nice flying
many thanks!
Amazing video, the real planes were stunning
many thanks!!
So that's what a good landing looks like. I'll have to work on that.
Good video, great footage.
many thanks 😊👍
The first Bearcat….beautiful paint job; exacting landing. Epic.
Oh yes, I like the thai paint too
I've spent years looking for this video. Thanks, Paul
thank you!!!

We wish you all the best !!! Greetings from Germany
buena compilación de aterrizajes y hermosos aeromodelos, que envidia, quiero uno de esos ;D
thank you!
Being able to bring back these models in one piece after a day at the airstrip feels good.
oh yes, many thanks
I'm sorry, but this is so much better then the crashes.
ohh Yes 😃☺️
Love performing RC aerobatics, but most satisfying maneuver is a smooth touch down with a short roll out.
Superb landings... a real feelgood movie...
many thanks ;-)
Very nice compilation. I enjoyed every landing.
many thanks!
sehr schön ! endlich mal piloten die landen können. daumen hoch
Vielen Dank für Deinen netten Kommentar ;-)
Bravo! Ole! Spectacular and highly authentic semi-circular approach by the F-4U at 4:35 all he needed was an LSO to make the scene perfect! XD
ohh yes, the Corsair was great, it was extremely windy 😅😅👌
Many thanks 👍
FANTASTIC! BEGINNING TO END!
thank you!
Schöne Landungen ! Top Video !...Danke !
Vielen Dank :-)
very impressive.....they got it dialed in....pleasant to watch !
many thanks 👍😀

fw190 , spitfire super marine, usssr yak1 and all ww2 classics has working landing flaps. totally amazing.
the north american F4U cossair is superb
yes, we need this for landing 😊😉 thank you!

oh you're right, write error from me :-(
Totally agree on the lack of music and plane info. Appreciate the spelling comment, but I would still give RC FLY VIDEOS an A+ for effort. LOL
great job guys thanks for sharing
thanks :-)
Wow and I really also enjoyed those cross-wind landings by full scale aircraft at the end of the video.
oh yes, it was fucking windy on this day 😬🌬️ and no 3 point landings by the warbirds ;-)
@@RCPLANEVIDEOS You could tell the pilots had a lot of experience and skill. Many of our airports here have more than one runway so I always tried to avoid cross wind landings as much as possible and when i couldn't they were not that pretty.

10:40 that one flew through the grass for a moment. this is therapy for me
I'd far rather watch good flying and good landings than see someone's long hard work wrecked!
That's right, that's why I don't make crash videos anymore 😉
I was wondering how the Dr1 would manage the cross wind. One wing on the deck. cool !
thanks - here is the video: ua-cam.com/video/lauDNLXSrs0/v-deo.html
Such a beautiful place too.
Exquisite piloting
thanks 🤗👍
Great Video!!!
many thanks 😊
Sehr schönes Video und Landungen! Ich mag euren Fliegerbau Style :-)
