Great ideas for a camera system. If infrared for nighttime is something you wanted, perhaps some IR Floodlights/LEDs? Not sure if they're compatible with those cameras. Thanks for the tips on the DVRs.
another good idea for cameras inside the home is to put the camera power on a switch or relay. that way you can physically turn the cameras on and off when you dont want them to record. i got the idea when i saw a video where someone has a couple of ring indoor cameras on smart plugs to achieve this
For the record Hikvision is the biggest cctv manufacture of the world (+40% owned by the government ), The biggest advance of this edvr is the low power consumption (plus fanless) and the build in essd
Thanks so much for posting this, it's exactly what I've been looking for! Do you have a link for the small monitor by the bed? *Edit: Also, does the DVR work on 12v or would I need to have my inverter on?
I think the person is trying to say, if data is stored on a card or hd in the van, someone could take those, where having info going to the cloud, you would still have that footage? That happened to me at my sticks n bricks, people broke in and knew more about tech than me. They wiped cards clean or just took catds out of cameras etc. That was b4 cloud availability, so.... @@JackofAllMasterofNone
@@JackofAllMasterofNone I think he's asking or saying that if there's no cloud back up the dvr could be stolen in the event of a break in and the recorded evidence be lost maybe?
i like what victron is making it easier and possible to integrate other equipments to their software and panel.

Here is the monitor. The DVR runs on 12volt. Can run right off of the batteries.
The dvr is 12v
What kind of adapter are you using to convert the cameras' RCA out to BNC? Does the DVR record in 1080p?
amzn.to/4edk3oJ
Yes records in 1080
thats what i'm thinking....great idea using that dvr
dang, where do you live? Baltimore? East Side St. Louis?
Ohio
Cloud??? Or they just steal it
I don't understand the question
