This is fictional, it tells us nothing about the real world. By the way it is a felony in most states to stop an ambulance with the lights on even if it was a cop.

The ambulance shouldn’t have even pulled over. They should’ve just gone to the hospital and assumed it was a police escort. They should never pulled over in the first place that is how protocol works. This is totally ridiculous.

This video is incredibly moving and powerful! The storyline sheds light on a very real issue about the importance of respect, urgency, and accountability in emergency situations. Watching the father and paramedic’s perseverance to protect and help Claire, despite the obstacles, was inspiring and heartbreaking at the same time. To serve and protect? Surely in such a situation...to serve would require the police to assist in getting the ambulance to the hospital...this having been done, as soon as the patient reached , the police could then deal with their "investigation" into the running of the red light...an action which I imagine every ambulance driver in the world is allowed to do in such life and death circumstances.

This is a great example of just how bad a problem with cops in general and the (feeling) that they are the law, and not they are to protect and serve!! There are thousands of Thompsons in the police everywhere!! It is past time for REFORM in the policing policies!!

Officer Thompson doesn’t completely understand the law. He has no business being a police officer and should have been fired for his abuse of protocols. The EMT was in legal ground to assist with a patient who happened to be in labor and has already experienced a medical emergency that could cost the life of both mother and the baby.

I can’t imagine a police officer punching an EMT and not allowing an ambulance to get to a hospital with a patient in labor! The judge gave the perfect penalty to the former police officer.

Sorry, but I find this story so hard to believe . In all my 72 yrs on this planet I never saw a police car stop an ambulance .police cars usually escort or follow or lead the way clearing the way for the ambulance 🤯absolutely unheard of 🧐🤪

It’s a felony to interfere with EMS operations. It’s also a felony to assault an EMT in the performance of their duty! This DUD is going to be in deep doo!
What happened to the cross examination of the first and second people who testified for the prosecution?
