Do beware, most of the foreigners who stayed here for extended period of times tend to get addicted to everything Indonesia (particularly the local and traditional food) and will eventually stay for some more! 😆

That was awesome Mike and I was like you when I first heard that Moto GP was going to Lombok, but seemed to be a good track and race. It also would have brought in some fantastic revenue and jobs for the local community/country.
I happen to live not far from that place, and I think this island is amazing because it's close to the city, close to the village, close to the beach, and also to the circuit; it feels like everything is there. Even the airport is close from any position on the island because of its location in the middle of the island.
The whole trip was less than 1 of our seats at the F1 Las Vegas GP last week. It was the only race I've ever been to and probably will ever go to, but it's insane what they charge. Surprisingly though Formula E tickets earlier this year were less than the Moto GP tickets.
11:31 for foreigner i don't recomended to rent a bike called scoopy for using two people, because the back seat is not comfortable for passenger very not comfortable. but front seat for the driver is quite comfortable.
glad you had great time in lombok. but for the tranport from the airport its too expensive. normally they charge 200-300k in rupiah. or almost 1/3 of the money they charged you. better use well known tranport. like gojek, or grab

@@RifkiBikeService still, thats equal to around 2.5 mil per night, and its still very expensive.. I bet the price went up like crazy bcus its motogp season.. 2.5 mil can get you a 5 - 7 star luxury hotel during non-holiday season

Bruh smh how you came to the conclusion that this was the cheapest. First of all you were in the Malaysian airport already and Sepang Circuit, where the Malaysian GP is held, is literally next to it which meant you didn't have to take that $225 connecting flight and all the other transpo costs, the airport car etc that you paid in Indonesia. There's also a cheap Tune hotel just beside the airport. Second, the cheapest ticket in Sepang is only $21 compared to the $39 that you showed. Like that alone you should know just from googling is the cheapest anywhere. Only thing I'd go for is the beach resort and that too ain't cheap btw but as a vacation/race experience it's not bad
Yeap.. That's why there are some Indonesians motoGP fans rather go for Malaysian motoGP rather than their home race coz it's cheaper to go to KL for the overall experience. Tickets is cheap, accommodation is cheap and food if you know your way it's cheap too.
@gengjahat4117 exactly but he ignores that just to claim the one he went to is the cheapest. He doesn't know that even the resort he went to is not at all cheap relative to other places, what a dumbass

For me Indonesian, I think motogp in Malaysia more cheaper than Indonesia. My experience I spend about 10 milion (650 usd) from Jakarta to Lombok to watch motogp Indonesia, but I only spend 5 million rupiah (350 usd) to watch motogp in Malaysia.
Loved this. your trips are always so fun to experience "with" you.
Life it is what it is, as long as you enjoy it. Lombok better than Bali for vacant.
That was awesome Mike and I was like you when I first heard that Moto GP was going to Lombok, but seemed to be a good track and race. It also would have brought in some fantastic revenue and jobs for the local community/country.
Meanwhile we from Acheh choose to go to Sepang because it way more cheaper that going to Mandalika
I happen to live not far from that place, and I think this island is amazing because it's close to the city, close to the village, close to the beach, and also to the circuit; it feels like everything is there. Even the airport is close from any position on the island because of its location in the middle of the island.
600k Rupiah for taxi from Airport to hotel its to expensive…! Use grab car or gojek car with online
For us its expensive sure, for most foreigners thats a bargain because thats exactly the amount they pay
@@PlatinumNathhour plus Long ride to they city for some uber is like 50 if it’s dead or up to 100 if busy. 35 bucks is a deal. To us.
That "crops" 12:42 are fodder (usually)😎. Nice vid!!👍
600 k dang as an indonesian that ride is expensive af idk is that price gauging or because its a tourist region
yea what... 600 k for a ride is crazy
There's a world class racing inside a village. How cool is that!
What a gorgeous world location. SERENE!
Thx you for promoting Mandalika, the price is normal for tourist with good quality service
The whole trip was less than 1 of our seats at the F1 Las Vegas GP last week. It was the only race I've ever been to and probably will ever go to, but it's insane what they charge. Surprisingly though Formula E tickets earlier this year were less than the Moto GP tickets.
The room looks nice. Very cozy. As i was born and grew up in philippines the room looks nice
As an Indonesian and a motoGP fan, for me Sepang and Buriram is cheaper than Mandalika 😅
I agree with you
11:31 for foreigner i don't recomended to rent a bike called scoopy for using two people, because the back seat is not comfortable for passenger very not comfortable. but front seat for the driver is quite comfortable.
Bro got scammed and still think its cheap
high quality vlog af!!! u deserved more motion
I appreciate that!
Try the indonesian trains
I thought no train in Lombok. Lol
Tried it in Jakarta. Better than India but worse than Japan
As I hit the like button, I said to myself, "This was a good one." 2 seconds later, you said it, too. Good vid. Keep it up!
Hahaha. Thanks. Welcome aboard.
Is it just me or at 0:54 there is something moving in his food
ITSS MOVEDDD😂😂😂
5:45 Lol I want to play this sequence on repeat. It’s brilliant 😂
Fellow Canuck vlogger here, spent a month there, loved it, my vid got 2 million views so far so that was good
Nice! Sounds like a win for you!
glad you had great time in lombok. but for the tranport from the airport its too expensive. normally they charge 200-300k in rupiah. or almost 1/3 of the money they charged you. better use well known tranport. like gojek, or grab
The gas sould be $0.63/L at the official gas station and $0.75/L at most if you buy the bottled ones. $1.50/L is too much. 😭😭
lu tau bahan bakar di pulau lombok distribusinya ama pulau jawa beda
Dia kira disini pertalite 10rb😂@@Smart5Infinixx
Transport nya pakai kapal makanya lumayan mahal
i love your accent, as an Indonesian i didn’t need subtitle to watch your video 😁
16Mil Rupiah for that Hotel!?.... yeah... im staying on Borneo. The beach, the place to sleep, not a beautiful view and cool bathroom, but it only cost under 100K Rupiah per night
I think the beach view and the private pool is what making it expensive you cant just compare holiday Inn with a cool azzs villa with a private pool and a beach and expect the price to be the same.
16 mil is for 7 night not 1 night, watch the video nicely..
@@RifkiBikeService still, thats equal to around 2.5 mil per night, and its still very expensive.. I bet the price went up like crazy bcus its motogp season.. 2.5 mil can get you a 5 - 7 star luxury hotel during non-holiday season
Where is borneo?@@fahriza88
The private beach is nice but that doesn’t even look like a 3 star hotel, way overpriced, especially no online booking is sus.
Thank you for promoted my beloved country, i hope moto gp fans arround the world can see your video n come to lombok in the next season of grand prix, cheers from lombok!
Sepang is cheaper. You pay about $70 for the main grandstand tickets and cheapest tickets here is $12 which is the K2 hillstand
Semangat terus mister 💪
Thank you for coming to Indonesia, HOPE you fall in love with Indonesia.
You have to try the Indonesian train, there are bullet trains, panoramic trains and others that will connect between cities with amazing views
This is such a fun video to watch. You really brought us into the fun journey with you. Of course everything is gonna be different from your own country but I do hope Indonesia Will leave a special mark in your heart ❤️
The cheapest but the most undeniably beautiful one!
7 nights for 1K usd is still alot even with what you go. Thats definately either foreigner rate or motogp rate. Got to be at most 500-600usd for a week
He got (effectively) a small house (2BD with lounge) . That's about 1.5 mill (70-100 USD) even in local pricing a day. So I guess he could shop around and get $700, but harder to be cheaper than that.
quick tip if you're in Indonesia, you may cannot pay credit but debit is still accepted
you can use agoda for booking more cheaper price and you can use aps like gojek or grab for you transportation or you can pay fo rent
What a nice place to wake up! Great video again as usual, brother!
It was fun to see your adventure. Thank you for sharing. From your new subscriber! ❤️
Dang, I remember our province doing that gasoline trick but with coke, sprite, royal bottles 😂😂
Nice experience 👍 you look satisfied & happy in Lombok
Come to Belitung and you should experience another taste of Indonesia’s Island, i’ll bring you around!
been to indonesia 2,5 months this year and the area around the motogp track was the worst of all... mafia and scammers everywhere, even worse than anywhere else in south east asia
so you have been lucky with that cash payment
I am sorry for what you experienced earlier, I apologize if you were uncomfortable when visiting Indonesia,🙏
@octavvarrd2006 it was just around kuta on lombok, anywhere else i had a great experience
It They Tradition Call Pungli,You Very Lucky Did Not Meet Maling,😂😂 Beautiful Country Fill With Many Pungli,And It Worst Nightmare For Me From Brunei Because I Meet
Maling
that's why I love motogp, they are focus on countries who loves motorcycles rather than countries who is rich.
Welcome to Indonesia my friend. Thank you for coming, hope you like it. God bless
Indonesia is in the top 20 world economies, but the problem is that economic capabilities between regions are very unequal. all prosperity is concentrated on the island of Java, don't be surprised when you go to Jakarta the situation is very different from Lombok. The government is trying to achieve economic equality, one of which is by opening new tourist attractions and MotoGP is the stimulant. and what is unique is that in Indonesia there are still too many beautiful places that have not been touched by tourism
tips for cheap foods is stay away from fancy looked restaurants, try looking for local warung that served local dishes
5:57 we man can get entertain from simple things 😅😂
I'm always down for another virtual travel trip with you, no matter the cost. Other than having to carry so much cash for the accommodations, it actually looked like a very decent place to stay. I'm at the point in life that I'd rather make the memories and do the things, than collect so much stuff. I just wish I had the money to do the things and travel.
I hear you, it's all about the experiences, not the possessions.
Hey downie, first time seeing your video and it's fun to watch. I suggest you to put "indonesia" in the title because all curious indonesians will come to watch your video😂
DOWNIE, you should visit the Isle of Mann TT race next year, THATS A REAL MOTORCYLE RACE
@DownieLive I’m from the Isle of Man. If you do want connecting for a trip to the TT races let me know!
The first time I watched your video was during the Rocky Mountaineer journey with your father, and also the Alaskan train journey with the editors. Now I see you visiting my country, yay! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! I'm glad you've enjoyed my videos for so long!
Scooter facts in Indonesia : compared to cars, we love since it's cheap and agile. You know, we love fast things in a cheapest way haha
600.000 From the airport to the Tunak Hotel is expensive bro. but this is a motoGp event weekend, it is acceptable
