I did that too last time in Taipei. I think that Elephant mountain and the view from there is alot better. Taipei 101 is interesting from an engineering perspective but a bit on the expensive side.

I have flown through TPE but have never visited Taipei. Would love to visit someday. I love skyscrapers and that building looks really cool.
