- "TROUBLE IN ANGEL CITY is one episode of our major, multi-year series, THE LOS ANGELES HISTORY PROJECT which celebrates the rich, colorful and often overlooked history of the Los Angeles region. "TROUBLE IN ANGEL CITY, narrated by actor Richard Widmark, looks at the dark side of Los Angeles in the 1930's'the era which provided the basis for Raymond Chandler's famous detective novels.
The episode is filled with true examples of scandal and violence and shows how committed individuals and grass-roots groups helped Los Angeles mature, reform and take control of its own fate. "Major funding for TROUBLE IN ANGEL CITY and THE LOS ANGELES HISTORY PROJECT has been provided by the Durfee Foundation; the California Community Foundation, the Fletcher Jones Foundation and by KCET subscribers. Hazakya. The jewel of you tube. Great job once again
I'm so happy to have found your channel. Amazing content , not shellac, but the real deal.
I love history and the quality you publish is gold.
miss the live streams, getting crazy guitar, partying etc. Nice video man as usual!!!
Thanks for the upload, I love watching these old films and stories. While I was watching this program, the gentlemen advised the customer it would be 38 dollars for the handguns and no questions asked. I see nothing has changed in over eighty years.
Thanks for the new upload Hezakya ! Always the best opening tracks 👌
Watching from New Zealand 🇳🇿 🎉
Thanks, great commentary!!!
Interesting choice of opening music haha
The opening music is always my favourite, I end up looking up songs 🙌
Salaam my brotha✊🏾
lol dude said “The City Of Los Angleless” always loved learning about the old history of L.A. and the darker side to Stencil Town just seemed like a cool place to be and everybody wanted to go there from the East Coast hoping to have a better life.
New Yorkers in LA get set up or killed over their ego and a fundamental misunderstanding of what an urban jungle looks like outside of their hometown.
Its time for NEW CONTENT bruh...dont u think?
