      Thanks 🙏
I love my soft fruit, Santa’s hopefully bringing me a dehydrator for Christmas so I can store it in other ways than jam and freezer
I been looking in at your channel on and off, it’s really starting to come along

I didn't realise raspberries got so big, I thought they were more of a bush like currents, every day's a learning day

Autumn fruiting are lower and more bushy, but yeah summer fruiting can get to maybe 7’ in a good year on good ground 😊

Very impressive raspberry plants. How do you protect the fruit from birds in the summer?

Well I thought I would have to net this new area but I don’t seem to lose to much fruit, have loads of strawberries and loganberries, tayberries etc in this new garden as well and I lose a little but barely noticeable so I was a little surprised
I do have owl decoys and a hawk and put tape up on canes so maybe this all helps

@@SmallholdingUK Thank you. I suppose there’s only so much that the birds can eat. You’re very well organised.

I have topped the canes before, but just to stop growth going any further up, never really noticed any real benefit.
