  • In honor of the 60th anniversary of the tv series "Cheyenne" starring Clint Walker, here is the first scene of the first episode and the last scene of the last episode. There's also a compilation of some of the show's guest and co-stars. Hope you enjoy this look back at television history.

    He was born and raised in a little town just approx 5 miles from where I grew up. When I was a young boy now ( 68 ) my mother took to the annual "Cheyenne Days" held in Hartfordl IL....his hometown. I was mystified at shaking that great big hand. I will never forget that moment and what it meant to a young boy. They do not make 'em like him anymore.Period

    God bless Clint Walker and almighty God soothe his soul and give him rest. I watched every episode. My dear old Dad watched every single western ever made, but this was our favorite. The sound of the theme song brings back beautiful memories of my family back in the day. He was the epitome of masculinity and I just wanted to grow up strong and decent like him. Still working on it.
    So sad to hear of his passing and I hope his loved ones are at peace with the knowledge, he is in heaven with the Father. God bless, rest in peace and thank you for the memories.

    Thank goodness for classic television cable channels. They REALLY cater to those of age who remember truly great TV shows. My introduction to the western started with Cheyenne and Clint Walker (R.I.P.). A tall, adventurous sort of a man seeking his place in the Old West. That theme song also brings back memories, so innocent and reassuring that Cheyenne Bodie will triumph over adversity again. And thank you for presenting the video. The guest stars also shined on that program, too.

    Cheyenne was always my favourite Western to watch along with the rest of the Warner Brothers westerns however living on the West Coast of Canada there is a TV station called Me TV and no disrespect to the westerns that come on that station there are reruns of the same one's over and over again and I have been hoping that this station would bring on Cheyenne, Bronco Sugarfoot and Colt 45 instead of reruns like the Big Valley the Rifleman Gunsmoke and Bonanza although this station has now been running episodes of Maverick which is my second favourite Western after Cheyenne maybe this station out of Seattle, Washington will change its tune

    I wish all stars on their last TV show would give some kind of goodbye to their fans thanking them. After all without the fans there wouldn't had been the series.
    I also wish some other TV shows would give a proper ending to a series instead of sometimes leaving it as a cliffhanger.
    I am watching the Cheyenne reruns now and curious why it names two others starting in the series when I have only seen one of them once on the show? Could be more episodes they are on that I haven't seen but I've seen a few of the episodes that open with the other two as stars that they weren't on the episodes?

    • @debco12
      @debco12  2 роки тому

      No, "Bronco" and "Sugarfoot" were separate series and the characters only appeared with Clint in one episode of "Cheyenne". Duel at Judas Basin, Season 5, episode 7.
      "Bronco" was created when Clint Walker, tired and fed up with the long hours he was working, walked off the series. "Cheyenne" was the first hour long western and Clint was practically in every scene. When Warner Bros did "Maverick", they realized it was too much work for one actor so they gave James Garner's character a brother played by Jack Kelly.
      However, with Clint, they just continued to work him to death.
      Only after Clint walked off did WB lessen his work load by keeping "Bronco" and adding "Sugarfoot" in a rotation with "Cheyenne".

    • @JustMe-ec2ph
      @JustMe-ec2ph 2 роки тому

      @@debco12 Thanks for the reply! I totally understand no actor wants to be over worked.
      I still don't get it why they listed "Bronco" and "Sugarfoot" staring on "Cheyenne" when they were only on one episode.
      If they were going to rotate them seems like "Bronco" and "Sugarfoot" would had been on more "Cheyenne" episodes with "Cheyenne" just being on less of those episodes.
      Like on "Rawhide" Favor wasn't on all those episodes. I know he wasn't on any of the last season but before that he wasn't on all of the "Rawhide" episodes.
      Oh well, just glad they gave Clint a break!

      @@debco12 From what I've heard, WB took advantage of the honorable and hard-working man Clint Walker was and treated him with great disprespect. Hard to fathom those supposedly savvy businessmen throwing away a golden asset like him. Yet the fact that he did such a stellar job despite the studio's gross lack of appreciation testifies to the ethical, decent man he was.

    • @faith4094

      I believe they called it the *Cheyenne Show* when they started rotating because Clint was the big draw and main star. Except for the one Cheyenne episode where they were in it together, the shows were independent of each other. The *Cheyenne Show* opening was only used in seasons 5 and 6, then went back to just Cheyenne with his wonderful theme song, instrumentality, in season 7. Clint was just the best!
