I’m reaching out to you because I’m considering switching to AMSOIL for the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) in my 2018 Mazda CX-9, which has about 75,000 miles on it. This is a high-mileage vehicle, and unfortunately, the ATF had never been changed until recently when I used MAZDA ATF oil for the first time. I’ve heard great things about AMSOIL products, and my primary goal is to ensure the longevity of my transmission, rather than focusing on fuel efficiency. Given the circumstances, I would appreciate your recommendation on which AMSOIL ATF product would be best suited for my vehicle to help extend the life of the gearbox.
I just started using amsoil signature in my H3, my engine runs smoother improved gas milege. You can hear the diffrence in the engine this oil burns cleaner, I regularly watch the color of the oil, smoother idle. My temp gauge is slightly higher I dont know why.

Mr wason last year i use atf in my chevy sonic and it was amazing thanks Now i own another sonic 2013 RS turbo 1.4 6 speeds manual and i need to know ehat kind of fluid and the capacity please if u can help me with that i will appreciate it thanks
@@jimmycontreras4087 My personal vehicle is a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a 4L60, it started slipping around 135k miles last year. I had just became a dealer. I told my wife, ‘instead of us buying a new trans or rebuild this one, lets try Amsoil LV ATF’ I swapped it out, flushed the torque converter, new filter. It now has 155k miles. Hasnt missed a beat. Amsoil ATF hasnt fixed anything but it has a revitalization characteristic. I am sure soon it will slip again, because of the poor maintenance by the previous owner. Ill rebuild it and when I do, ill make sure the builder uses Amsoil LV ATF! :)

when in doubt 30,000 us miles / 50,000km is always a safe point to change fluid early if you are using a regular product that isnt synthetic. Most people won't do it that soon tho.
Although I like and I use Amsoil fluids, I don't buy anything new at face value. This guy is wearing an Amsoil logo and I need further proof from a separate source. Currently, I am checking compatibility between AISIN Type T-IV and AMSOIL ATF and I'm not having any success.
Boomer Guy, I'm also a Certified Lubrication Specialist, STLE so I stand by my statements as a Specialist certified by an independent organization (STLE). I can send you a copy of the official Tech-sheet produced by Amsoil that list Toyota T-IV as covered by the Amsoil ATF, just need your email.
@@thelubepage I'm sorry to be so late getting back to you. Since my previous post, I have been using AMSOIL OE ATF in my VW Mk 5 Rabbit, my 2009 Honda Fit and my 2003 Honda Accord. All the vehicles have shown shifting improvement. I also use AMSOIL CVT fluid in my wife's 2016 Honda HR-V with shifting improvement. Thanks again for your info and your response.

I have 2018 Ram 1500 zf tranny. In the Ram forums several people said they had issues (slippage) when changing over to Amsoil. Have you heard this?

Try using Amsoil coolant, with the Dominator Coolant Boost.

Make sure Mr Watson is your dealer.
Armando, Amsoil does not make fluid for the manual trans for the Sonic.
So if my chevy use dexron vl can i use the amsoil autotransmission for my chevy sonic instead dexron vl , or not?
Yes, Amsoil ATL Fuel Efficient transmission fluid is Dexron VI rated.

Does Amsoil have a transmission Fluid for 2024 Nissan Frontier That Meets Matic P?
John, NO! Matic P is an Ultra Low Viscosity and some additional specific requirements that prevents one of the Amsoil ATF's meeting the spec.

Most Toyota CVT transmissions use standard ATF, NOT the CVT fluid. Be very careful to use exactly what Toyota specifies.
At how many miles do you recommend I should change my CVT transmission fluid on my 2017 Honda Accord LX? I have only 15500 miles.

Use Amsoil CVT if you have a CVT trans.
Why doesn't Amsoil team up with Toyota? Toyota is very high quality. If they can improve their transmission oil, they would.
I think no manufacturer wants their powertrain to last a really long time easily! :D
