- This week we made a return visit to Seaham. We were too late to follow the tide out but we did manage to find some lovely little multis and beautiful sea glass! Come with us on a trip to one of the most famous beaches for sea glass in Britain :)
We have opened a Ko-fi account, so if you wanted to support us by buying us a metaphorical cup of coffee it would be greatly appreciated xx

I love how encouraging Kate is to Oscar. So sweet. I haven't been to a beach in absolute years. Thank you for taking me along with you.
I never grow tired of watching your channel. I so wish I was there along the shore with you and your family scouring the shore for bits of colorful glass and other fascinating objects that each have a story to tell. Thank you for continuing to share your wonderful finds. The music you add to your videos are perfect as well. 👍🏻😁 Have a wonderful day.
What a lovely outing. The glass reminded me of semi precious gems.
It was lovely to see the glass magnified. I wouldn’t mind a poster of one on my wall. Thank you ladies and gentleman.
It is heartwarming to see those tender moments between siblings. Big sister helping, supporting and encouraging little brother. It makes me feel a tinge of sadness, I miss my little brother. He lives in Canada🇨🇦, he tried living in Denmark🇩🇰 but he didn't feel at home. I wish there was a beach over here in Denmark🇩🇰 that is full of sea glass. It is so pretty and even more so when it's wet. Thank you so much for sharing your summer afternoon at the beach. By the way Kate, I love your dress. You have an amazing style. 💕💜💕💜💕🇬🇧🇩🇰🇬🇧
Beautiful video! Family spending time together enjoying nature and finding lovely, tiny bits of gorgeousness. Thanks for sharing:)
Thank you :)
Your camera work is spectacular! The excitement you all express is joyful, and the enthusiasm you had at Oscar's first multi is so very heartwarming! And I love Nanny. Thank you for taking me out for a days mudlark! Love 💕 you all.
Wow, thank you! :)
Absolutely the best video ever!! THANK you Ladies and OSCAR
Wow, thank you!
Hi Gran and what a lovely time together! So calming and joyful! Thank you for sharing.
Oh I love those little multis, a miniature collection for a cabinet of curios in a dolls house.💕
Funny you should say that. we have a project coming up which may involve something like that :)
Such a perfect beautiful day at the beach. Beautiful gems! The purples were beautiful. Such rich colors. An amazing sunset too. My favorite is the egg multi 🍳! Thank you for taking me with you today. It was lovely. 🦋
Thank you so much!
Oh my goodness Kate. When you said a man in a hat with big lips I thought I'd die laughing. I love your imagination. You let me see things in a whole new way!
gifts from the sea,not to be outdone by the sky.......................what a beautiful sunset.looked like a great day.thanks
Ode2Joy! I have so loved the beachcombing for sea glass! Blessings!
Looks like you had loads of fun. Thanks for always sharing your adventures!
After a morning at church I came home to this wonderfully relaxing video! Thanks again for a beautiful experience!
Lovely video!😊 My Sisters visit there every week to collect sea glass and other things, which one of them use to create beautiful pictures and sculptures. I lived on the coast about 45 mins north of Seaham for many years. This video brought back lovely memories for me of taking my children and dogs to our beach and hunting for interesting sea glass and stones over 30 years ago! I am very proud of our Northern beaches!😊🌞🌈💗🌊
Thank you so much! Seaham is something to be proud of :)
Dear Family and "Oma",
I love your Video so much. Great finds.
Einfach nur wunderbar!❤
Thank you
Jette
I'm so happy Nanny accompanied you! The sea glass bits are so lovely! It's difficult not to be "seduced by stones" when they are as lovely as that one, Kate! Everyone had such fun!😊💖
Wow...what an abundance of wonderful. It was nice to see Oscar in your videos too enjoying his finds.... actually it’s a feel good feel watching you all find stuff. See you Thursday.
Thank you for taking us on that trip with you all, I enjoyed it. Such beautiful small pieces, lovely😘
What a beautiful collection of glass the colours are amazing they look great all together in the bowl, now awaiting to see what you make with them , tfs xx
Thanks so much 😊
Kate I enjoy how you are so kind and watch over Oscar. I was that way with my baby brother too. Fleur you definitely have an awesome family.
Thank you so much!
Yesterday I visited Seaham and collected some sea glass for the first time. It's so beautiful and I totally understand why your were so excited when you found exceptionally pretty pieces.
Your videos always make me cry, as you really show what it is to search for these little gifts and I feel like I'm there too. I haven't been able to go glass hunting/ beach combing in over 2 years due to both of my knees have severe deterioration of my cartilage, so it's extremely painful to walk! I get much joy watching your channel and Tom Burleigh(?) mudlarking channel. Both of you have kept a quality about your episodes. And the music is perfect! Thank you and keep doing this as long as you can!💙🌊👣👣👣🌊💙
I`m so sorry about your knees, I`m really glad we can help in a small way :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers you help in a big way! I'm searching in spirit with you ! And I'll get fixed and be out there again soon! Thank you!❤🌊❤🐚❤
What a magical day in a magical location with your family. Treasure!!
So glad you had a lovely day out. I so want to be there laying amongst the pebbles picking sea glass. 🌊🌞🌈
Hi lovely place, and lovely finds, amazing sunset!,
Lovely to see you all together as a family .xx
Thanks so much :)
What a marvelous day 🌞🏖️day you guys were having👍!!! And Nanny along, too🙌👏👏. So, so lucky to have your Grandmum. All my Grandparents had passed before I was born so I never knew them except through my parents stories and pictures😏😒.
Wow, so many beautiful sea glass finds🤩🥰...and even some of the highly coveted reds and purples😮😯. My favorites are always the yellowy-browns (they look like amber), and the colbalt and bright blues(like fossilized droplets 💦 of seawater).
Congrats 👏👍 to Mr. Oscar...well done on your "multi" finds, my friend 😊. You've got the"eye" now for spotting Seaham "treasures".
✌️🕉️and love to you and your precious family (including Nanny). 😊🤗🤭😘
Thank you so much Juliet :)
Some of your landscape shots are very artistic and beautiful. Nice eye. 👍
Thank you so much 😀
Lovely music to accompany your search for stunning bits.
I love a good sea glass hunt, beautiful vlog thanks ❤️
The 'jewels' you found at 8:37 look like the agates we find here on the West Coast of North America. I have found many like that in Oregon as well as my home, Vancouver Island. Great finds...lovely beach! You should make a photo print of that seaweed in the sand! Gorgeous!
We need to learn more about agates! :)
Another lovely video in a beautiful setting. That is quite the sea glass hoard in your bowl and some great autumnal colors made just for Kate. Such a good big sister to be so excited for Oscar's finds. I really liked his egg multi, as well as the top hat with the lips and the tiny pink shell. So nice your Nan could come along and her cute little dog. I hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday!
Thanks so much 😊
Beautiful video again guys, awesome, stunning pieces of sea glass multis . Thank you for sharing your walk around and your finds 😍😍😍🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺

I'm enjoying catching up on some of your older videos. This looks like it was another fun day. You had some wonderful finds. I love the collection at the end and especially how you separated them into color groups. They looked so beautiful that way! ;-D
You have brightened my day, thank you☮️🇨🇦
So jealous, cannot wait for my next trip to Seaham. But the next best thing watching you all. Such a pleasure 😊.🌊🌈💛
Gorgeous day to look for Jellybeans. You guys can recreate the wet shiny look with UV Resin. Get yourselves some of those tiny glass bottles with corks that would make beautiful necklaces.

I wish I could visit this beach. That in itself is too much to wish for but on top of that I would love to have your family come with me, way beyond the scope of things. But I can dream and I'll travel with you both on your mudlarking hunts. Stay safe! ❤
I still have all the beautiful Seaham glass which I collected on that beach, beautiful big multi's too. It was a high light of my holiday in the UK :)

Your little piece of glass are beautiful
The white glass with a tint looked like...it begins with O...Opal 😘
Such gorgeous finds and what a beautiful location. It would be nice to make beads from some of the sea glass but a lot of work.
I would be scared I would break them :)
We go here the kids love it. It’s like looking for gemstones. Not many big bits to find there now .
Omg such beautiful sea glass love it, want too go hunting this weekend too add too mine now 🧡
Love Oscar's hoodie!😻
The one that looks like an egg should go in the dollhouse. Hello from Texas. I would love to go with you
That’s a beautiful tiny yellow bead. As you know the orange sea glass is one of the rarest colors to find. Nice finds!
Beautiful day outside for an adventure today with the family to find some treasures
What is the multi-colored glass from? What would have been made from it? It’s absolutely beautiful! Thank you for the virtual trip to the beach!❤️
There was once a glass factory on the cliff and they used to throw the waste glass on the beach. I presume they made lots of different glass ornaments hence the multis :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers the bottel works was one and a half miles down the coast and only made green glass
@@derekjones3439 I stand corrected. You are right it seems the glass possibly came from the Sunderland glass making industry. The waste from hundreds of factories was dumped in the River Wear. The River Wear was dredged in later years and the waste put in the sea. Over years it was tumbled Southwards to be washed up in Seaham. That is one theory anyway. Thank you for making me research that, always presumed it was the factory.
Thank you for your answers! I’m green with envy that you have such an amazing place to hunt for sea glass treasure!
You saw the pink one like me in this my favorite color
Lovely video and I see mum got in on the action too . How long did it take to get all that ?? I’m not sure my eyes would find half of that lol
Awhile, but it is very relaxing haha :)
Kate is in her element on a beach. Oscar looked very happy. He got a chance to use his special hunting stance too. I have some glass to send you do you want some glass purpled by the sun ?
Oscars hunting stance is unusual, that would be lovely :)
dear ladies i have found 2 multi coloured peaces of glass at colourcoats bay have you ever bean there, i love going there. great icescream there as well.
Is this where the northern mudlark come too for their sea glass?
It looks like it.
Yes we visited Seaham with them a few months ago :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers thought so!!!! I love it when u both go there!! Nice that u both went together!
Planning a day out to this beach shortly cant wait x
Seaweed YES exactly what I thought
Really great video as always. That must have been a long way for you to travel from where you are to Seaham.
My mum lives a lot closer to it than we do :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers That's what I thought. It must have been great to have been able to go there all together. Thanks for a lovely video.
So beautiful. The only Seaglass Ive found looks like pieces of broken glass, I would love to find little gems like that. What do you do with the sea glass? I am trying to get ideas of what to do with mine
My favorite is the fossil.😁
I so wish I could come there. Do you ever sell bags of sea glass? My disability doesn't stretch to traveling . I would love to do a small glass bowl up in sea glass for s candle. You really found some lovely glass 😊
We are considering making up some little mudlarking bags to sell :)
Love it wish I could go with u
What colour is "plink" lol
Where you picked up the red one there was a green went to I thought you were going to pick both of them up
Do you have a stone tumbler???
They would look awesome tumbled...😊
We do, we are just a bit rubbish at getting it up and going haha :)
Mudlarking With Kit & Caboodlers ha ha, and they do take forever to run but well worth it, thank you for finding the time to answer...take care and happy hunting...😊
Fossil is a crinoid .... I think ☺
I think you are right :)
Some are gem stones
I would love to spend the day looking. For sea glass and cool small rocks. Thanks for sharing and taking me along. Now if I could find a hoody in xxxl fat lady size for me like Oscar was wearing I would be in 7th heaven.
Haha Oscar does love his hoody :)
Green fruit pastel
