No, Mike, the show USED to be shot live to tape. Mike has forgotten that contestants sometimes are coerced into redoing their come on downs and other reaction shots. That wasn't done in the Barker/Dobkowitz era.

TPIR has always been a guilty pleasure, I must say. My concern now is that the T shirts and outfits people are wearing... Wa-a-a-a-y back when , Monty Hall hosted Let's make a deal, people just came on the show, then the T shirts, then the costumes- all in hopes of helping their chances to be picked... I sure hope that this show is not headed that way.
I won a video prize package on the play at home game. As of today 12 weeks later I still haven't received my prize. I don't think they give the prizes away ( just a scam I think) so I would not trust anything they say. They wont return my calls or my e mail so I would to thank the price is right for making me look like a fool in front of my kids.
I cant believe they made a promotion with the movie evil and had the devil bid 666. This game is such a disappointment. Everyone should ban this show. Its absolutely sick
