Until I realized that this past year has been the most hectic year of my life and I’ve barely been watching vlog style content at all anymore. You popped back up in my recommended after a year and I realized, holy shit, I have a year of vlogs I can catch up on! As soon as you mentioned Comfort Colors, I was like OH NO. My work shirts are that brand. I've had them since the end of spring/beginning of Summer. Maybe end of April-beginning of May, which is summertime here. All I can say is that they're VERY nice quality, they're soft and comfortable. But you should also take care with how you wash them, especially if you're embroidering them. Mine are screen printed with the company's logo, and after two weeks with just washing and drying normally, they had small holes in them. Wash on a delicate cycle and hang to dry, my coworker did that and hers have no holes at all.
I was given a Comfort Colors shirt as a gift, it got holes within a year (I washed on a normal, cold cycle and tumble-dried only until it was actually dry). The holes were in the armpits but the shirt was so comfy I literally wore it (as PJs) until a sleeve fell off lol
Would it be possible to do like a normal preorder like lots of clothing small shops do? They open up limited preorders but turn around time is usually 6-10 weeks. Maybe then you could sell more at a time but have lots of time to get them out. Especially while you only have one machine.
Gray would be nice with the strawberry design! Light enough to be girly and the design would pop on it. I’m excited for y’all to start t-shirts! Y’all are so busy! Wish I lived close so I could help! I am a bigger size in the belly area, so I tend to prefer oversized zip ups. Super comfy and never have to worry about showing off my curves that way.
I have both the comfort colours and Bella and canvas tees, and it’s a really hard choice to pick a favourite. The Bella one is thin and super soft, great for a summer day or with a light zip up or jacket thrown over it for cooler for summer nights. It has washed well over the last 4 months and still looks almost new. The comfort colours one is definitely heftier but still so soft compared to any other heavyweight tees. I love the vintage washed out vibe and it goes with my style better than a straight solid colour. I’m grabbing it way more often than the other, especially now that it’s fall. It’s also a more oversized fit so when I’m feeling bloated I don’t worry about people seeing my tummy. It washes perfect and still looks exactly like when I bought it, but it’s getting even comfier somehow! My husband and son both prefer the softness of the Bella and Canvas, and now have their own shirts because they liked the feel so much. I also have a few other Bella and Canvas shirts and just off the top of my head I remember the women’s v-neck is not as soft and much slimmer fitting, and the cropped tank is the same thin softness. It has very big arm holes that go very low so it will show your bra (I like it and wear a cute bralette to show off) and the bottom isn’t hemmed so it rolls up a bit but the grungy look is my style anyways 😊 For embroidery I would say the Comfort Colours is definitely the one!! I originally intended to put a dtf transfer on mine but I keep putting it off in case I wreck it. I’m gonna have to buy another one or two, and one of yours!
@@BayleeJae I also prefer the clay colour over the sandstone. It’s definitely different enough for me, but I don’t care for the sandstone colour for myself, I like darker colours. Based off of the clay colour I would guess a design with a darker colour palette, some darker greens, maybe a forest vibe?? Or maybe I’m just being wishful lol
For sweater, for dark colours navy is my favourite, and for pastel colours baby blue is my top one. Thank you for all your great work, you and Christian 😀
Comfort Colors is known to be able to wash well, the colors fade over time giving that vintage t-shirt look. They also hold up well. A bonus for me is the fabric tag that doesn't need to be cut out for me. Quite honestly, they are the only t-shirts I prefer to buy. And they hold up well with embroidery too.
I love the clay colour, it’s very pretty. Also would love the strawberry design on a medium grey hoodie, the design would pop and be gorgy! But also realize you have to limit the number of colours. The strawberry merch is beautiful, I must get some! So happy the embroidery part of your business is is going so well. ❤

Is it just me but I love going to your shop when you do a utube and I scroll through all your products in the hope of seeing as many products are sold out. I really want your shop to succeed. For me buying from your shop is impossible as postage to Australia is more than all the products I want to buy. So I enjoy seeing your success and that Sold Out on products.
Out of the zip up blanks I liked the heavy weight one the most. I personally prefer a heavy weight zip up because that's generally all I need in the winter here in aus

I am so glad I was able to watch this today, because I might have missed out on my chance to purchase the witch hat sketchbook. I was so disappointed that I missed out the last time. I was in the ER the last time it was in shop and was sold out by the time I got to go to your shop....3 days later. This time, I missed your 9/13, shop launch because it's close to the end of FY23 and I have been extremely busy at work. It appears that all military branches wait until the end of the Fiscal Year to spend their funds. Crazy. I will be busy until 9/30/23 and am beyond frazzled. I took a break to watch this video....to get some stress free time and when I saw the witch hat sketchbooks....scrambled to your shop and lo and behold, I was able to purchase one. Gives me something to look forward to when everything dies down at work & goes back to normal. Love your videos.
I did do a ducky bundle earlier this year that is now sold out. There's no strawberry bundle since I only had 4 stationery items, with no timeline on when the sketchbooks were going to arrive. I would love to do some kind of bundle again next year!

Just wanted to hop here and say, im in LOVE with my strawberry hoodie ♡♡ Had to wear it immediately :] And gamer bag is already in use too, love it! I guess customs opened the package since it was all sliced up, even the hoodie baggie was sliced open on the side even though they could have just opened the flap 🥲 I could see the sweater thats how badly they they taped it shut after they were done! I was so scared stickers would have fallen out but thankfully not, everything arrived ❤😂 My guess is that the smaller things being placed inside the hoodie looked like something was "hidden" lol, suspicious package indeed, illegally cute stickers and notepad 😆 Also i would say the clay color is different enough(at least for me), and its a really nice brown shade too ♡
I think the shirt in the clay color is a little darker than the sandstone. The sandstone looks like a lighter brown than the clay. Your embroidered shirts and hoodies are so beautiful, and your customers love them so much. Keep up the good work, and stay blessed and happy.

Time to add on an addition to the basement. You should get the sublimation going with that heat press for free and cash in on that at the same. Sublimation take a fraction of the time.
My sleeve stabilizer has slowly started to peel up a bit after just wearing it once. Idk if that's cause I was sweaty or what LOL but it also looks like it's easy to peel off if needed for those that have it!
I actually always remove the stabilizer from every article of clothing Ive had that's had it and it's never been a problem with washing etc. it's been years and it's not an issue. I think it's a waste to be honest.
Small advice on piling! Piling is not really a quality measurement! specific synthetic + cotton blends will do that and slightly different mixes won‘t. It also depends on the way you wash your clothes, from the machine to the temp and everything. Textile business is pure pain xD I do it for almost 10 years now and just recently found the perfect shirt for myself and my customers xD and chances are they will change something 2years down the line and I will hate it again xD
The one that pilled badly did so within two days of wear, before even washing. To me, that is a quality indicator since I don't want to sell clothes that pill that quickly.
Damn, it looks like none of your embroidery will be an option for me 😢 I can’t do the sweaters bc they’re too warm and I live somewhere tropical. And I’m larger so would want to order the biggest size and can’t size up from there.
The 4X & 5X are a different brand (Gildan) so I don't think sizing up is necessary for those. The Gildan one I tried on fit me normally. Just the XS-3X would run small.
I know you are already overwhelmed with the amount of products but would you consider selling an embroidered tote or even artist tote (with brush pockets etc.) Cause I'm not a sweater gall I'm a tote gall and i want to be daisy tote gall 😅
How do you embroider the zip up sweater chest? Does it split on either side of the zipper? Still would love a chef’s apron with strawberries, hint hint. LOL. 🥰
I would probably stick mostly to sleeve (and possibly back) designs. Chest is doable if the design doesn't have a center element. The current strawberry chest design would not work.
i think you might be putting too much thought into the whole colour selection. if it was me, i would choose a few colours that would go with the design, and safe colours. so strawberry design: pink, burgundy, brown, green, safe colours being black and white for those who don't wear colour. that's just me personally! and also with how you personally like hoodies and what not, someone else might not like them. so that's something else i think might have too much thought in to it. i really do love how dedicated you are to all this, but you might just be making it harder than it needs to be
I think you would benefit so much from outsourcing the hoodies stitching. Even if it comes down to being more expensive for each one, you would probably sell more! And then keep the more simple designs like the hats you mentioned for you and Christian to make. I just think it would leave more time for you guys to plan future collections and still have time to create, pack, record videos and edit them without getting burnout from working so much most days.
Ideally Christian would do all the embroidery and I would rarely step in. I rushed the timeline to get some sales in before my business year end, so I helped out. I don't anticipate it being this chaotic going forward. Also, machine number two will help a ton. We learned how to do hats, and it's kind of a pain to hoop, so that's why I suggested them as a possible outsource item.

I think the sandstone and clay are different enough. One has a yellowish white tone, and the other, a pink tone.

Damn, it looks like none of your embroidery will be an option for me 😢 I can’t do the sweaters bc they’re too warm and I live somewhere tropical. And I’m larger so would want to order the biggest size and can’t size up from there.
The 4X & 5X are a different brand (Gildan) so I don't think sizing up is necessary for those. The Gildan one I tried on fit me normally. Just the XS-3X would run small.

I know you are already overwhelmed with the amount of products but would you consider selling an embroidered tote or even artist tote (with brush pockets etc.) Cause I'm not a sweater gall I'm a tote gall and i want to be daisy tote gall 😅

How do you embroider the zip up sweater chest? Does it split on either side of the zipper? Still would love a chef’s apron with strawberries, hint hint. LOL. 🥰
The design would have to be smaller and on one side if in the front. Or, a mini image on the front and the main design on the back.
I would probably stick mostly to sleeve (and possibly back) designs. Chest is doable if the design doesn't have a center element. The current strawberry chest design would not work.

Personally I think clay and sandstone are different enough. I really love the clay colour! More than the sandstone.
i think you might be putting too much thought into the whole colour selection. if it was me, i would choose a few colours that would go with the design, and safe colours. so strawberry design: pink, burgundy, brown, green, safe colours being black and white for those who don't wear colour. that's just me personally! and also with how you personally like hoodies and what not, someone else might not like them. so that's something else i think might have too much thought in to it. i really do love how dedicated you are to all this, but you might just be making it harder than it needs to be
I think you would benefit so much from outsourcing the hoodies stitching. Even if it comes down to being more expensive for each one, you would probably sell more! And then keep the more simple designs like the hats you mentioned for you and Christian to make. I just think it would leave more time for you guys to plan future collections and still have time to create, pack, record videos and edit them without getting burnout from working so much most days.
Ideally Christian would do all the embroidery and I would rarely step in. I rushed the timeline to get some sales in before my business year end, so I helped out. I don't anticipate it being this chaotic going forward. Also, machine number two will help a ton.
We learned how to do hats, and it's kind of a pain to hoop, so that's why I suggested them as a possible outsource item.

also random side note about the back camera protector, my bf and i both had one on our iphones recently and omg it sucked so bad it broke so easily and so quick from like nothing and it’s so frustrating to have to try and pry off, it will flake and shatter and leave little sticky bits, so hope you have better luck lol
