  • Hey I'm Jaymee. I am a 6th Semester Veterinary Medicine Student at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.
I feel like I don't have the most typical story of wanted to become a veterinarian, so here's the story of how I only figured it out once I was already done my first degree!!!
If you want to actually keep up with my life, I'm far more active over on Instagram: / jaymee.dvm.student

Thanks for sharing your experience! My journey too has been less that a straight path so it is comforting to hear others stories who are similar.

Hi Jayme, Thanks for the video. It sure looks beautiful there. My daughter is the person you described who's only ever wanted to be a vet. The veterinarian she worked with this summer said she would be an amazing vet. She is struggling to keep Bs in her current classses like anatomy and organic chemistry etc. (she's a zoology major at a large university). I have heard Ross has a high drop out rate. My daughter studies and works hard but these classes are really hard for her. As someone who's grades weren't good enough for the Canadian vet school, can you tell me how you find the diffuculty of the courses at Ross. I just can't fathom the idea of her going to Ross for that amount of money and then not being able to become a vet

Is it easy for you to be a vet in Canada? I know Ross is accredited but I am not sure if you need to take an exam. Just curious, if it is not so difficult, learn vet outside Canada is a good option.

You’ll need to take the NAVLE board exam as well as your provincial licensing exam. The same as if you went to school in Canada.
