I would have slapped her and cancel the show. Someone who cares less about safety than meaningless "I don't know how to describe" issues. Working in hospitality myself it is more frequent behaviour than people think. Sometimes you address issues and there are like "meh" if the guest don't complain it means that doesn't matter that much 🤐 Case dismissed.

I believe this woman knew on some level of the structural and safety issues and thought she could milk the hotel despite the issues. Her reactions werent embarrassed or upset like most people. She refused to discuss them, like she knew and just wanted to change the subject
I'm always amazed how some book smart people, with zero experience in the hospitality business, believe they can become hoteliers instantly.
i know, its like since 2020 when everyone become doctors and covid experts 🤣
Let's face it, these owners are not intelligent people.

I am pretty sure anthony gets mistaken for pitbull whenever he enters a hotel. Like gosh he even dresses like him and talks like hes rapping.

Owners r fools their manager is a lier! Had the fire extinguishers been inspected a few mnths before the tags on them would not b yrs old because the fire inspector would date the tag and sign it

They want to stay open during renovations? Cool. I wonder who wants to book a room here while all this noise and dust is around?

They clearly don't care about their guests, all they want is $$ but don't understand how the hospitality industry works.
the man wasn't even 2 minutes in and:
1. the smoke detector left the server
2. the bathtub doesn't have leaks, it's literally always open and you can't turn it off
3. his team legit just opened a random drawer and found drugs
the only thing missing were bullet holes in the wall
They have the hotel for two months and are asking for help ??? Did they even try ?

Does he have to be so dramatic when delivering his conclusions? Come on, they are adults and can be told in a normal voice, or do Americans only respond to the dramatic?
i dont know if this memory of mine was just some kind of fever dream but i remember this one episode where he went to this bamboo-centered hotel? as in the structure was founded on bamboo and all that. if anyone has a link to that episode id love to finish it because i never did :(

They spent 3 mil for a place they were going to put people's safety in their hands and got no basic inspection before buying? The previous owner said it didn't have any problems ... so that was good enough for them. Fools and their money are soon parted.

Actually maybe the other way around. The first episode of Hotel Impossible was on April 9 2012, while Hotel Hell first aired on August 13 2012 :) or just somebody heard of a new concept with Ramsay and decided to quickly make the same show with somebody else and air it sooner.
And Mr. Worldwide.
Hotel Impossible was first. Both are good shows but I think this one is much better as an example of what can and should be done...the other show spends a ton on renovations without talking about the nuts and bolts of running a hotel. This show is like hotel 101 for all of the small hotel owners out there.

The host ruins this show...he comes across super fake and seems to think that shouting equals a personality.
hotel owner is an actor i think. and a bad actor. this is clearly scripted. the syringe was almost certainly in the script. planted. unprofessional crap this show..low rent pseudo drama..
drug addict is courteous enough while stoned to not only put the syringe in the drawer so noone sees it, but ALSO puts the cap back on the end so noone gets a needle stick injury. yeah right!!
