Just proper training and patience can make for some strange cat. I don't let mine walk on the counters or at least that's my goal. But they aren't even a year old yet, lots of stuff I can over look but no walking on my kitchen countertops or eating the dogs food.
I lure cats to their demise when they wander too close. You know, to see if they are/were on their 9th life or not. Most were/are that I tested/test. Sometimes I miss, not going to lie...

I did this for a week and then if sometimes I needed to move their food bowl for some reason. They didnt care, they just allowed me and carried on eating. Its all about trust!

Rabbits and guinea pigs are prey animals, and can suffer high levels of stress when they’re forced to share the same space. It’s one thing to own both, and for both to have their own, individual areas; but that doesn’t mean they’ll always get along from the same perspective, as cats and piggies/rabbits are wired very differently in how they perceive the world around them.
@@billyblubear941 agree 100%, i was so shocked to see that, esp considering the fact that rodents like these can already die from stress after being whacked by a cat alone. i did have an outside rabbit who grew up with neighborhood cats being curious by him and therefore wasn't afraid of cats at all but i still NEVER had any cats get even close to him when he was outside the safety of his pen. at one point, i completely missed the neighbor's cat sitting on one of our chairs when i let the rabbits out and when i noticed, i didn't want to make too much of a fuss and potentially stress both animals out .. so i kept a really close eye on it. eventually the cat sat on the ground, observing the rabbits, and my rabbit just straight up hopped over to the cat and started sniffing her tail LOL .. cat was so startled by that that she ran away immediately 😂
I love it when cats say "yum yum yum" while eating. I also love playing the kitten, while they're crying just give them gentle short little squeezes. I used to work in the cattery at an animal shelter, I loved all my charges & would never hurt them.
I have both and even with us begging our kid to stop he keeps coming back to mess with the cat which has got him scratched before. It is a iffy situation they really dont always live that well together, but at least are 11 year old knows better and is very good with the cat. The cat sleeps in his room.
GOD bless our beloved felines. They bring such joy in times of sorrow. My father passed away last month and we were blessed with a beautiful calico I named Sissy. Lo and behold Sissy gave birth to 4 beautiful kittens. I wish so my dad were here to see them. He so loved animals, cats and especially his cat Fat Sammy who only weighs 21 puonds. Love you cat lovers. Miss you dad..
When your cat is annoyed enough to hit someone, teach the child it time to leave the cat alone!! It's not funny to annoy an animal that clearly wants to be left alone. This is when animal attacks happen, and then the animal gets put down because they break and defend with animal instinct. Teach children to respect the animals boundaries.

You are totally right. Animals will often make us laugh, without any interference from us. Children should be taught to respect animals. It’s very true that in many cases the animals end up being destroyed because they’ve lashed out after they’ve been driven demented by some pestering kid!

Almost all adult cats make that sound when they see birds ! After a million times with 25 - 30 or more 🐈 ; lots of other people's cats too ; it always sounds so strange & alien. I've asked a couple of experts, it's just a natural domestic cat response before they pounce.

I had several cats before. Now I'm currently raising a little girl, I rescued from cat abusers. (a family I sadly know this side of). From the day my little girl was born she had been taught how unimportant she was to them, forced into submission by the whole family completely ignoring her, her sibling's (she only ever had one alive, now she is the only who is still alive) and mother's needs.... She only started to try meowing around 9 months old, now she is 10 months old. A cat that doesn't know how to meow or choose not to is not a psychologically or emotionally healthy cat. This shouldn't be considered "funny".

The weird meows while eating is them warning you to stay away from their food. Please don't taunt them while they're eating, it leads to distrust and bad habits when you go to feed your cat.
We have two kittens who are now 3 months old. I make sure that after their food is placed down, each one gets a stroke as they eat so they know we're not after their food. We have young nieces and nephews and would hate for them to get aggressive with the little ones, not that I could imagine that as they are the softest little monsters ever.

Almost all adult cats make that sound when they see birds ! After a million times with 25 - 30 or more 🐈 ; lots of other people's cats too ; it always sounds so strange & alien. I've asked a couple of experts, it's just a natural domestic cat response before they pounce.

Cats like that are likely to be abused. If not by your friend then by a previous owner or a family member or a friend of your friend.
I had several cats before. Now I'm currently raising a little girl, I rescued from cat abusers. (a family I sadly know this side of).
From the day my little girl was born she had been taught how unimportant she was to them, forced into submission by the whole family completely ignoring her, her sibling's (she only ever had one alive, now she is the only who is still alive) and mother's needs....
She only started to try meowing around 9 months old, now she is 10 months old.
A cat that doesn't know how to meow or choose not to is not a psychologically or emotionally healthy cat.
This shouldn't be considered "funny".

The weird meows while eating is them warning you to stay away from their food. Please don't taunt them while they're eating, it leads to distrust and bad habits when you go to feed your cat.
Ive been told by cat trainers that eventually you have to break them out of that habit because when they get older it becomes a problem
We have two kittens who are now 3 months old. I make sure that after their food is placed down, each one gets a stroke as they eat so they know we're not after their food. We have young nieces and nephews and would hate for them to get aggressive with the little ones, not that I could imagine that as they are the softest little monsters ever.
