DA needs to relax with the other opposition parties. Our common goal should be to win the ANC and form a government with all opposition parties after the election. Unite the opposition parties, and combine their votes to get us over the mark! DA, FF+, ACDP, ActionSA, IFP, PA, UIM, UDM, BOSA, Rise Mzanzi
I'm glad that the smaller parties are finally standing together. Why did it take them so long to put their egos in their pockets and stand together . Cornes description of eff as anc youth wing dressed in red is exactly how i been referreing to them since they were formed as a breakaway grom anc. Same as MK, they will always side with anc as they see sn easy route to the gravy train
WHY does the FF+ still trust the PA after all that happened in, e.g. JHB and, if you recall, Corne, also in Potchefstroom in 2021 for two MMEC seats)...?
Respect is what he gives to most politicians for their "charisma" but listen carefully - he doesn't support their party manifesto or their goals.
A seat or two for OHM would also reduce the ANC seats! And then some good parliamentary discussion can take place about a better system than we have now!

I do not understand. If the FF+ goes into coalition to keep the DA in control in the WC, why then not sommer vote outright for the DA from the start? Also, WHY is the DA to blame for a less-than-satisfactory outcome before Registration closed ...? I also think that more energy should be focused on the Multi Party Charter instead of the individual parties... I would suggest that the MPC organize rally’s in all the major stadiums within the country before the elections... this way they will show unity and a willingness to take SA to the next/more sensible chapter

Corne - even if the WC Parliament is expanded to 100 members, the DA will still only have a 4-seat majority as is currently the case... the only difference will be that all represented partis , including the the FF+, may have more MPP members...

There needs to be an integration of parties who's willing to place SA first and not just about greed for a sake a seat. The only party outside of the ANC who governs is the DA , in the WC. No one is perfect in ruling, but next to DA, who else?
Thats why there is coalitions and that is a beter form of governing. FF+ will keep the DA on their toes.

What I can state as a fact is that the FF+, when things go south/turn ugly with, e.g. the PA post-elections in a coalition (that Corne seems to think is a good thing), the DA will be to blame and not the smaller Coalition partners. This is the reality and why the DA could simply no longer afford the reputational risk of governing a minority coalition where the PA is simply not trustworthy, Corne. What if the FF+ was the majority party in a minority coalition government, and when things turn ugly, and the coalition collapses (again once the PA gets a better offer ) - would you have trusted them a 3rd time with the likely reputational risk this has for the FF+... NO, I did not think so, yes Corne?
But the ANC top 7 is completely black. So why was this question not posed to the ill-informed ANC representative?

I agree that religion and politics should be deliberately divorced. I also think churches should be treated (and pay taxes) just like any other business, for that is exactly what they are. When it comes to politics and policy-making, religion is a dangerously irrational mixture to add to a process that should ideally revolve completely around principle and never personality cults. Religions are by definition personality cults. Always have been.
