People talk how AMD RT didn’t improve from last Gen. neither has nvidias, and this a two generation gap lol. Also, just a friendly reminder. The 1060 = 970 2060 = 1070 3060 = 2070 4060 ti = is slower Then the 3070 (2080 ti)??? That doesn’t make sense lol. I cant wait to the amazing performance uplift with 50 series.
I do not get people complains about rtx4060ti, beside the lack of 12gb version as its baseline... 60 /60 ti series for a long time aimed for similar performance to flagship from 2 generation ago..., but rtx2080 had 3 version: rtx2080, rtx 2080ti, rtx2080 super... Price is a matter of time, if its not going to sell , then it will go down. Gtx1660ti =gtx980ti simetimes even better, but it was cut down rtx2060. Rtx3060 /3060ti = gtx1080ti, one is worse and sometimes on par, second is better, but can be vram limited, but both have more advanced tech - AI and RT. Rtx4060 >= rtx2080, but vram may limit it, should be a cut down rtx4060ti with 10gb.
The OG 4060 should be as fast as a 3070, at least. The 1060 beats a 970, a 2060 meets or beats a 1070, a 3060 meets or beats a 2070 but now a 4060 can't even come close to a 3070. That's why people are upset.
It's because the performance tier for anything below 4070 sees little overall improvement over their predecessors, with 4060 Ti offering virtually the same performance as the 3060 Ti. And even so, the GPU core, memory bandwidth, etc. for everything below the AD103 die (4070 Ti Super/4080 chip) don't have a wide enough bus-width for the actual GPU and memory bandwidth. I have a 4070 for work purposes and tested it against my RX 6800 on a couple occasions just for curiosity. Even though 4070 is advertised against the 3080 10gb/6800 XT/7800XT, it will still perform just about the same as regular 6800 at 1440p and 4k because bus-width is too narrow for the memory speed. That, and the 2060 Super and 3060 Ti spoiled buyer's by expecting the slightly worse performance as the next card up for $100 less. If Nvidia wanted to continue that trend, then the naming scheme would be down by a number with the 4070 Ti we got as the 4070, and 4070 we got as the 4060 Ti with both sharing the same AD104 GPU.
Saying how shit a card is in the 40x series then following up with how glad you are you bought another 40x series card is like saying you're glad you didn't step in shit only to go buy a fresh bag of it to eat
I dont think its that bad because the 2080 is from 2 generations back and its still packing a punch towards newer gpu's. I think the gpu aged very well and shows that its still a decent budget gpu for the right price.

Thanks for putting DLSS and FG aside
Why is your 4060 ti clock so low? mine's sitting at 3GHz lmao
Although the 40 series leaves a lot to be desired yes, it does use half the power. But its also shit.
and only 8gb which is not good at all on these titles also if wanting to run more than one monitor.
