    Let JB make the whole thing himself, and watch him carefully and take notes. Measure the weight of the containers before and after, then you can reverse engineer how much he put in based on the difference of the before and after weight of the container

      @@TBlacky He's not wrong. getting bins of ingredients set at a certain weight, then measuring the weight of the bins afterwards and just watching and recording the whole process would be the easiest was of revearse engineering it. or just taking cracks at it till they get it right cause they even just said JB's whiskey wasnt even close to popcorns. it was "Hot", but "They ain't lookin' for Hot Whiskey"

      @@MarkLada I'm glad they take care of the legal stuff off screen so they can make real moonshine on screen. I watch the show to learn about making different types of liquor, it doesn't bother me at all that they're paying taxes on it. The alternative is distilling water on camera.

    It's an easy fix. Just weigh what you have upfront - then let him do his thing putting in a bit of this and a bit of that and then a bit more of the other. Then when it's all done and it's a good mash - reweigh it and then you know where you'll are. Simples.

      You just gotta sip it tbh, that shine probably gave off a sweetness not a huge bitterness

      @@TBlacky I've never had shine. But anything above 40% would make me cringe.

    This has me wanting to try Mark and Diggers moonshine. Is the stuff in liquor stores the same thing pretty much since its called "Mark and Diggers sugarland shine"?

    • @DetectiveTrupo203
      @DetectiveTrupo203 2 роки тому

      It's not. The stuff in stores is made in a legal industrial distillery, and it's 80 proof like every other liquor sold in stores. Homemade high percentage actual moonshine is difficult to find, you have to know people that make it.

    Sounds like Popcorn was like an old Granny, who has spent 60 years cooking in the same kitchen. He knew his recipes so well he didn't have to measure anything more.
