    In other words, Chinese-dominated production is growing at the expense of others, notwithstanding increasing policy agreements aimed at “derisking” nickel and other critical mineral supply chains….and the ESG goals also seem more difficult, given the environmental impacts of HPAL…

    Unfortunately, there is little to no environmental standards in Indonesia. Promoting their projects, which are known to dump waste into the water, is not great. Even removing ESG as a standard and just common sense would show us that the world needs to look to their jurisdictions.

      While I agree, corporations don’t really seem to care about the wider environmental impact of their supply chains, they mostly greenwash. If Indonesia is cheap or is able to fill demand the money will keep flowing
