@@Chonkems Dunno. It did run VANILLA TOMB RAIDER as a direct port, models and stuff were the same, the only thing they sacrificed is FPS and resolution. But that was on the Cartridge NGAGE. i am not sure f that was any different power-wise from the Downloadable NGAGE games on Nokia N95
There really should be someone in the RE community to make a fan-made remake of this, if Code Veronica has a fan-made remake, why not this one? Would be so cool to have an airport location as a survival horror setting. We had too much mental hospitals and old abandoned villages settings these days.

I've played N-Gage 2.0 version on my Nokia N82 back in 2009. I've found old ipa file I've downloaded around 2011, now I can use it with ipod touch from flea market (pre jailbroken, kudos to previous owner) to play "better" version as well as bootleg (not bad though, better than Degeneration) RE5 clone called Zombie Infection.
@@BaffledBuffoon Good old times when Gameloft was releasing their own bootlegs (decent quality even) of most famous series, like gangstar (GTA clone), nova (crysis clone), zombie infection (re5 clone), 9 mm was a Max Payne clone (before the port of the original game) that I remembered was not compatible with my iPad 1, and required brand new iPad 2... Good old times.
Glad it's on Android now. I have both resident evil 4 mobile edition and resident evil degeneration. The only one left is resident evil mercenaries vs. and after that my collection will be complete.
Ah. I remember playing this on my Nokia N95. Just slide out the Media control keys (Opposite to the keypad) and you get a 4 Button NES style controller and horizontal screen layout. This must have played like ass on phones without the N95 Media key trick. or vertical screen layout.
Shame there wasn't a console port for this RE game. Not even an Xbox 360 Arcade port like the IOS version of The Bluecoats North And South got. I did own the CGI film on DVD though lol.

@BaffledBuffoon, Likely, I don't think Capcom will ever rerelease that 3DS exclusive Mercenaries game either. I did like the first two CGI films, especially the 2nd one that was basically RE4 in a Warzone. Didn't care at all for Vendetta, the Netflix one, and especially Death Island. Reusing the RE3 2020 Jill in that one was a terrible choice.
Ugh, don't get me started on Death Island. They re-used so many previous character models. Claire was just the Infinite Darkness version, even though that was set so many years before Death Island. And I could swear the script was AI generated, as terrible as the dialogue in the BSAA break room was.

And don't get me started on the God awful former USS villain of the story. So dumb and underwhelming compared to og RE4 Saddler or RE5 Wesker. Death Island confirmed my suspicion that Capcom wants to completely erase the canon of the pre RE Engine games and replace them with lamer post RE7 bad writing.
Frankly I'm just tired of how they handle RE in general. There's clearly no plan, they just cycle people in for each game who will write whatever they want to write regardless of what's come before. Loose plot threads and established character personalities be damned .

I always thought I imagined this game, I remember a friend of mine showed me this game when we were kids and I assumed it was a port of RE4, only to find out the port of RE4 was a different thing (and was also used on the Zeebo) It's good to know it wasn't a false memory, also I'm impressed I still remember this game XD
I played this mess as a kid. It was always funny to me just how much stuff you could pick up in an airport, especially now, considering that armories for airport security are off-site nowadays.

Funny enough this on my old Nokia N95 is probably the best Single Player 3D game I had on a phone until someone finally made a working PS2/PS1 emulator with XBOX controller support for Android. 3D games with controller support + (No - always online DRM/microtransaction/Freetoplay/LIVESURVICE/Gambling simulator/braindead button mashing gameplay.....) Well games like that are SUPER rare on Android. If it wasn't for emulators i probably wouldn't even bother gaming on my phone. What a waste of power and potential when modern phones could run games with XBOX 360 graphics easily.

It got a genuine PSX kind of graphics. But asuming it seems so bad because, there are good games from this old console with better graphics. For a PSX it's a Poor Production Values. That console can handle much better.
1:32 That's a common condition of Leon S Kennedy. In 6, he was warning a zombified president that he was gonna waste him again. Then there's the cult of personality that just randomly selects one for each movie or game. Sometimes, he's a brain-damaged doofus and, at other times, an uncaring asshole. Sometimes, both in one. Remake Leon seems a bit more streamlined of the best parts of all the insane Leon's.
Absolutely! Like how Vendetta Leon was suddenly a sullen alcoholic. I have plenty of problems with the remakes, but at least I can look at re2make and re4make Leon and think to myself "Yeah, that's the same guy." Damn-near every recurring RE character has this problem though, it's maddening.
@BaffledBuffoon I think Leon was always an alcoholic after Raccoon City; I think he just knows time and place and doesn't drink his troubles and nightmares away while on the job due to needing to stay sharp. There's a piece of fanart out there, somewhere, that I really love, that depicts a tired, rundown Leon sitting in his apartment next to the fireplace with a bottle of Jack in one hand and his Desert Eagle (Lighting Hawk) in the other, alone and seemingly contemplating if tonight's gonna be the last night he worries about anything ever again, only for his better judgment to snap him out of it. The picture isn't cannon, obviously, but we never really see the RE characters in normal, everyday life, outside of an outbreak. Leon is probably conflicted a lot between doing his job, trying to save people even when his experience should tell him it's too late, and dealing with probably a lot of survivors guilt which likely clouds his better judgment in those scenarios. There's experience, and then there's trauma, and they clash, and Leon has both. Despite seeming cool under pressure, Leon obviously has a panic problem when seeing people in danger especially people he is close with and wants to help. He has a very large heart underneath his professional agent presentation, hence the internal conflicts and inconsistency with behavior in different situations.
@BaffledBuffoon I know. That's what also makes it so fascinating that so many different directors have a different take on Leon and how fighting monsters over time affected his mind.
Yeah. Me personally, I just prefer it if none of the protagonists make goofy jokes (aside from Barry's dad jokes) during bioterror incidents, or talk trash directly to the monsters haha. It's fine in Devil May Cry, don't really like it in RE though.
I played the lite version a bunch ages ago on my mother's old phone(it was a side flip phone so it had a full keyboard making the game decently playable) It was kinda cool, but I'd say people are better off just watching the movie to get the full canon story.
Movie video games are known for being bad but its ironic that the movie the game is based on comes from a video game series So that makes this one the bastard child of the third Generation

A movie which was released after RE4, taking place after RE4's story, featuring the main character of RE4. A sequel. Therefore the game based on such a movie (and mimics RE4's gameplay) will also be considered a sequel.

Don't think ammo being in places it shouldn't isn't a weird thing. Like you find a lot of it in places where nobody has any actual firearms despite the fact that some even carry it on them

1:32 That's a common condition of Leon S Kennedy. In 6, he was warning a zombified president that he was gonna waste him again. Then there's the cult of personality that just randomly selects one for each movie or game. Sometimes, he's a brain-damaged doofus and, at other times, an uncaring asshole. Sometimes, both in one. Remake Leon seems a bit more streamlined of the best parts of all the insane Leon's.
Absolutely! Like how Vendetta Leon was suddenly a sullen alcoholic. I have plenty of problems with the remakes, but at least I can look at re2make and re4make Leon and think to myself "Yeah, that's the same guy."
Damn-near every recurring RE character has this problem though, it's maddening.
@BaffledBuffoon I think Leon was always an alcoholic after Raccoon City; I think he just knows time and place and doesn't drink his troubles and nightmares away while on the job due to needing to stay sharp. There's a piece of fanart out there, somewhere, that I really love, that depicts a tired, rundown Leon sitting in his apartment next to the fireplace with a bottle of Jack in one hand and his Desert Eagle (Lighting Hawk) in the other, alone and seemingly contemplating if tonight's gonna be the last night he worries about anything ever again, only for his better judgment to snap him out of it. The picture isn't cannon, obviously, but we never really see the RE characters in normal, everyday life, outside of an outbreak. Leon is probably conflicted a lot between doing his job, trying to save people even when his experience should tell him it's too late, and dealing with probably a lot of survivors guilt which likely clouds his better judgment in those scenarios. There's experience, and then there's trauma, and they clash, and Leon has both. Despite seeming cool under pressure, Leon obviously has a panic problem when seeing people in danger especially people he is close with and wants to help. He has a very large heart underneath his professional agent presentation, hence the internal conflicts and inconsistency with behavior in different situations.
@BaffledBuffoon I know. That's what also makes it so fascinating that so many different directors have a different take on Leon and how fighting monsters over time affected his mind.

Yeah. Me personally, I just prefer it if none of the protagonists make goofy jokes (aside from Barry's dad jokes) during bioterror incidents, or talk trash directly to the monsters haha. It's fine in Devil May Cry, don't really like it in RE though.

I played the lite version a bunch ages ago on my mother's old phone(it was a side flip phone so it had a full keyboard making the game decently playable)
It was kinda cool, but I'd say people are better off just watching the movie to get the full canon story.
