      Haha cheers! They only had family friendly movies on the screen. If only they had the best Christmas movie "Die Hard! I would of been there laying in the pool!

    Great video Rob! The employees really seem genuinely happy and enthusiastic, looks like a fun place to work. I kind of regret not booking a few days there like I originally intended. Maybe next time.

      Thanks. Yes it was a great vibe! Usually at larger resorts I don't see the staff let their hair hang down and have fun. It's certainly a welcome change. It makes for a better experience for the guests.

    Thanks Rob! Great video! We stayed here in August and it was one of our favorites! Beautiful rooms, pool was great, staff friendly and food delicious. Beach disappointing but appreciate your honesty as always. 👍 Didn’t miss it though with the stunning pool. Love how you interview the staff. Glad your doing longer videos. Thanks Rob! You’re then best! 😊

      Thanks so much. I stayed 4 nights so I was able to take my time and I could interview staff in their quieter times so not to inconvenience guests. It was a great Christmas there. Glad you like the place too. Take care

    When I was in Mactan Newtown for the first time in 2021, I knew that a new tourist oasis was emerging there. This is where it is worth investing. Thank you very much for your video. You're getting better and better👍👍👍

      Thanks! Yeah that area certainly is looking like a really nice area of Mactan. There's going to be a mall with some type of lagoon.

    It is likely the place I'll be going to in next Christmas.

    Thai Resort in Mactan? Are you allowed to incorporate anything about Mactan in your resort? Nevermind, I wouldn't anyway because it's too late! He's supposed to have the macho body, right? One of our heroes? Yikes! I just thought it would be lovely to incorporate some of his or its history!

    Another outstanding video.
    Rob shows and explains everything. I agree the rocky mini-coastline is a downer, as is the rusty ship: hopefully the latter is no longer there.
    The infinity pool looks huge and fabulous.

    Rob, love your stuff! Very helpful! What would you say is your #1 luxury hotel/resort in Mactan? Considering the rooms, pools, beach, etc.

      That would be Shangri-la. I will eventually do my favs in Mactan. I was working on it late 2021, then typhoon Odette hit I had to put it all on hold. Some of the resorts are still not 100% back to this day

    Hi Rob, do you use Agoda for bookings? We've found some very cheap prices in cebu especially montebello and lex hotels, ive booked montebello with them already but nit lex yet, you may have not used them but if you have are they ok?
    Cheers
    Pete

      Hi Pete, yeah I use Agoda a lot. Once I had an issue when a hotel was closed (due to the pandemic) and customer service was good fixing the issue. The only thing to be aware of is when you check prices they don't show the taxes and fees till the end when you book it. I guess they do that to look cheaper when comparing sites. A lot of the time they are the cheapest, but not always. I still always compare prices with other booking sites still.

    Too much food. Nevertheless, great options. Some seafood with a good salad and I'm done. I might indulge in a wee bit of desert just for the heck of it but I generally stay away from sugary stuff. So I would lose out in any buffet setup.😁

    • @FindingParadise
      @FindingParadise  8 місяців тому

      yeah, but I think it's better to have too much rather than too little.

    • @adventureneverstops
      @adventureneverstops 8 місяців тому

      @@FindingParadise Like I stated, "great options." But how much food can one really eat in such a setting? I try my best to live by an old adage: "eat to live, don't live to eat." But that's just me.

    • @FindingParadise
      @FindingParadise  8 місяців тому

      @@adventureneverstops What i mean is not eating more but having the amazing choice of different dishes. So there's something for everyone.

    Plan on getting married at this resort what are your thoughts?

    • @FindingParadise
      @FindingParadise  5 місяців тому

      Obviously, I like the place, but I do see it through a traveller's eyes. I'm not sure of prices they offer compared to others in terns of wedding packages. I would always recommend having a tour (if it's possible) of the place first. I have done a couple of videos around the place so u can see the facilities and if that would suit you. But for me I like the rooms, staff and food. The beach is so-so and the views from the resort are OK. I'm sure your seen that. Anyhow I wish you all the best for your upcoming wedding.
