Just like the diffrences beetween genocide route in underale and snowgrave in deltarune. It's not just "you kill everybody, that's sad... THE END", it's fucking manipulating a honey darling sweety gravy noelle to the point of killing.(Am I overthinking this?)

Love how this gives me Undertale genocide route vibes of being alone. Making the music have less instruments and have the song be changed a little honestly makes it more fitting for the snowgrave route.

It’s actually a pretty somber and sad track
When I was doing snowgrave, I paused for a second before doing my routine “press iceshock” battle strategy against a pop-up. The text box said “pop-up is begging you to press a broken ad of a crying puppy” I almost didn’t want to kill him, but i’m a completionist and I already did the pacifist run, so I proceeded (pun intended)

This route is creepier than Genocide Undertale at least for me. Like: YOU MANIPULATE KRIS' CHILDHOOD FRIEND INTO COMMITING MURDER ON INNOCENT PEOPLE. LIKE, WTF? THAT'S SOME PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR SHIT-
I also love psychological horror so I'm a big fan.
(edit: it's the player manipulating Kris into manipulating their friend, not Kris doing it, which is actually even more creepy)

I really like the way this song changes in the snowgrave route. It starts playing right after getting the freeze ring, and the drums (I know they aren’t really drums but they kind of feel like drums) really put you in the mood.
You shouldn’t be doing this. This is wrong. And the drums give you that feeling, that you are just executing the enemies. The marked rhythm, as the enemies run away from you because they know what’s coming. You turned these two childhood friends into a commander an executioner. This shouldn’t be happening, but you went out of your way to do it. And that’s why the drums feel so impactful. They are marking the rhythm, so that you may keep twisting these teenagers into destruction machines
yeah i am glad toby changed the songs here unlike just slowing them down even tho agruably watefall and most genocide songs in undertale dont feel the same at all
The moment that the drums hit always knocks the wind out of me. It feels so robotic, marching along at a steady pace, never hesitating even for a moment

As a victim of fate, nothing they do will ultimately affect their life: it is set in stone and they cannot escape it.

I just realized that the reason why it's only that slow is because you didn't kill the entire population. Unlike Undertale, it turns into a horror slowed music because 99% of them are dead

Well, if you speed up undertale genocide music, sometimes it’s different too. Not as much as this, but if you look up genocide core, it sounds very different sped up as well.

If this wasn’t a track signifying how the player manipulated the protagonist’s friend into a cities genocide, I would say this would fit as a “night time/late night” version of the song where kris and noelle explore cyber city while it’s in a “power off” mode.

Played snowgrave for the first time last night and streamed it for a few of my friends. The horror I felt when this started playing is something I don't think I'm ever gonna forget. Noelle is one of my absolute favorite characters in deltarune, and one I relate to a lot, so manipulating and intimidating her like that felt awful. Hearing this alone out of the context of the game wouldn't be that bad, it's a nice sounding track, but the fact that it's a slowed down and stuttery version of the regular song just...god. Toby really is a genius when it comes to setting the mood with music.

The Snowgrave route is still creepier than the Genocide route in Undertale, because in the Snowgrave route you’re using Kris to manipulate Kris’s childhood friend Noelle into murdering others including Berdly to where it’s like Berdly is frozen in time.

i really like how wrong this track feels. it's like hearing a song in a dream, but something about it just sounds... off. the melody here is ever so slightly changed, instruments are missing and the song itself feels so nervous and unsettled. it's a perfect fit for the "wrong" feeling the city gets during this route. something is amiss. it feels like a weird and creepy nightmare you'd have as a child.
it's funny that i compare this track to hearing a song in a dream, because guess what Noelle thinks after all we've forced her to do...

The bass tone is almost identical to the bass tone from the Gimmick! (NES) OST. I'm not sure that it has any significance, but i just love that bass sound so much that I immediately recognized it.
