As a guy that says that everything DAC did in the 70`s was solid gold, I have to say that this here album is up on the very top of DAC records. Too bad that this wasn't released on Vinyl.
I met Jimmy Velvet in Las Vegas. We talked about the song "Did you Know Elvis?" Jimmy and David were discussing Elvis sightings as covered in the tabloids and came up with the song. Jimmy said the song was rapidly crafted by himself and David and recorded in his studio.
Agree, the 90s produced some pretty lame music in every genre, most of the country from the 90s is un-listenable to me. This is not among DAC's best material, his band from the 70s to mid-80s was among the greatest country lineups of all-time. Also, he sounds a bit tired here, but most performers are not doing their finest work in their 50s, 60s, and later. I give him a lot of credit for his endurance, still performing at ~80 years old after all the living he's done.
Marvelous David Allen Coe 👍 Great tune

Haha, just listened to it. Thanks for that!!
Fucking genius 👏
He's in good voice, the songs are fine, but the production is just boring compared to his 70s classic material.
