Good job for standing up for yourself. Jenny Apple tried to do that for her lung cancer and her concerns were poo-pooed away. She had a gut feeling. Doctors, please listen to.your patients. If the patient does not fit a certain diagnosis because of family history, age, whatever, she knows her body.
We know our bodies and doctors think because we are young we don't know nothing. I had bad chest pain tbought i was having a heart attack or stroke, went to two different hospitals. They couldn't find nothing so I was scared because my chest was so tight. I was like maybe i need to see my Gi doctor, went didnt get to see my doctor but i seen a NP. She changes my medication and said if u are hurting in 3 months call us back. I went 3 months hurting, finally seen my doctor GI. Found out i have gastroparesis, gerd and hedia hernia. I'm so sorry wat you're going through. Praying for you 🙏 sending ❤and 🫂 🫂 hugs❤❤ 🙏 🤲
YES! We know our bodies! I encourage people to listen to their instincts and if something feels wrong, it usually is. Sorry you had to go through all of that 🥺 but glad you have answers now!
I hope the biopsy surgeon got your results so s/he understands to not advise delayed testing for small abnormalities in future. Always listen to your intuition. I did with melanoma after 2 surgeons refused to biopsy I went to my new GP who also thought it was futile to biopsy but would do so to ease my concerns. Needless to say is was malignant but I caught it so early only extensive surgery was needed and I am cancer free for 30 years.
so glad you have been cancer free! That is my hope and wish that doctors do not continue to delay testing. I cannot imagine what would have happened had I waited six months. @@rdavism1

YES! We need more doctors to take our concerns seriously and not try to fit us into boxes or statistics.
