Got a standing desk? Make sure you get the heights and positions all correct when you are both in sitting and standing and then get the right heights and positions for you and your equipment when transition from one to the other.
1️⃣ Elbows dictate desk and chair height
Ideally your elbows should be right angles or slightly less. But not more (i.e. not more bent). This will help you to set the right height of the main section of standing desk where your keyboard is, as well as your chair height when you are sitting.
    2️⃣ Monitor Height
This will be different from sitting to standing so unless you have an adjustable raiser for your monitor you will need to put a portable raiser or books under the monitor to get it to the right height in standing. For both standing and sitting the correct height is having the top of the monitor at eye level. So when you lower the standing desk you will most likely need to lower the monitor again to keep this position when you are sitting.
3️⃣ Chair Height and Foot Rest
And those vertically challenged peps out there make sure you have a foot rest as well to keep your hip angle slightly below 90 deg.
    4️⃣ Times
Everyone is different but we generally recommend 2 hrs up and then 2 hrs down, in the morning and the repeat again I the afternoon for a 8 hr work day.

Life savings video,, i had to use laptop for long hours for my research work, but when it had been 3 months, i got neck pain then visited doctors, they just gave me prescription with medichine. I stay healthy while taking medichine but after the course done, then i started feeling my neck pain again. I can not work for long time. Then what I have done, today that is i started watching neck excercise to relieve the pain. But suddenly i found this video, just god belessing on me.... Thank you.

What an excellent video! I wish I'd known all this years ago, it would have saved me an endless amount of problems. No matter, it's not going to be like that going forward now that I'm armed with this information. Thank you!

Very informative, is this standing desk able to accommodate someone 6 feet? Can you recommend a manual one like this. Thanks

Depends what country you are in but your local office or furniture supplies should stock?

    Great video.
What is the ideal time period to sit and stand during 8 working hours?

She is standing with her knees and hips locked, which is causing torque on her back.
