    There are so many nice things about this Ford Transit Pleasureway.... what is your favorite thing?

      The 600 amp hours of lithium with the 3000 w inverter is amazing, however you loose the entire trunk space. May 2021.5 2.2 has 200 amp hrs but a ton of storage in the rear. Def a trade off.

    I have a 2021 ontour 2.2. Trust me, it's worth the money. We've taken 3 month trips in it each of the last 3 years and we were so comfortable the whole time. And New innovations in this 2024 are a big deal too! Run the a/c off house batteries??? Yes please.

    I bought my 2019 Coachmen Crossfit class B on the Ford chassis with the same interior setup brand new for $76K. I upgraded to 800ah of lithium and 3000 watt inverter for another $10K. Where is the extra $100K going in this thing? Plus, my cabinetry is solid wood dovetail, not screwed or stapled like Pleasureway.

    why is there a 1920 HALOGEN headlight when they come stock with LED/HID?

    Love the layout except the rear bed/sofa is a cargo killer. It would be great if it had a lift system like the Revel to allow you to get all your gear to your destination then unload and drop the bed/sofa. Everything else is spot on. I'm glad they went to 600 ah of power. Now drop the generator and add that $$ to fix the cargo problem and I'm in.

      I agree. A loft bed or murphy bed allows us to bring our toys-which is the whole point for me 😊

      I agree. A Murphy bed seems like the best compromise. You can still have upper cabinets. With a lift bed, those may have to come out.
      I’m actually ok with a generator still being in there because I’m not sure how much it would hurt these engines to idle for hours a day to recharge the batteries if you don’t drive the van.
      Honestly, the biggest things I’m waiting for pleasureway to do is increase the battery to enough capacity to have AC all the way through a night (I live in the southeast) and make the van 4 season capable. Heating the tanks is ok, but the best idea is to put the fresh water inside the right. That works well with a Murphy bed.

    Until you actually get in one or own one you just can’t appreciate the quality of these Ontour builds. Real wood materials and no cutting corners here like most of the US rv manufacturers. Really good quality.

    When it comes to maintenance and repairs I would much rather have a Ford than a Mercedes and, as cool as the Mercedes emblem looks, it also says, "Hey, look at me! I'm RICH!! I got lot's of cool stuff to STEAL!!"

    You could build one with a bigger freezer .you cN only put 2 packs of hot dogs in that one. What kind of air conditioner hot water heater. How much water on board. Black tank gray tank holding capacity? For $ 180.000.00 you can build a pretty efficient one.

    Lack of external storage space is disappointing- outdoor chair and table storage for example. Where would you store these items? Otherwise very high quality and beautiful RV.

      you can put them in the rear, under the couch/bed area. Definitely need to be space saving type. We are looking forward to a Class B but for us it is less about camping and more about a traveling comfortably with our own bed, bath and kitchen essentials.

    Maybe I missed the point here....So even with all the rv tanks, generator and such cramped under this, are you able to lift this Pleasure Way 2.2 van?

    Let’s talk about the main selling feature of this unit. It is not made in Indiana, (also known as the center of RV manufacturing failures). Several B style vans are being made to a RV manufacturer type specification. Not specifically made as a van type RV, leaser travel and pleasure way are two manufacturers that make vans specifically to van type buyers. Surprisingly both companies are in Canada. Disclaimer I own a 2023 on tour 2.2 one of my favorite things to do is to pass Mercedes sprinters going uphill.

      I wanted a Mercedes, but then I thought about getting stuck out in some rural area needing parts...
      I'm going with Ford instead.

    You could build one with a refrigerator and a decent size freezer for less than $180.000.00 get rid of the microwave. It's cheap. Update to airfryer. You only have one burner to cook a meal on?😂

    I’d buy if they start making it with a slide out. Too cramped. Great driving experience compared to class c though.

    • @gregoire8376
      @gregoire8376 7 місяців тому

      I agree and for me it's all about safety and comfort when driving. The Ford AWD chassis drives waaaaay better than a Class C. The Ford is also better to drive than the Ram.
      Go test one.
      Good choice Pleasure Way !!

    • @karinwest919
      @karinwest919 6 місяців тому

      A slide out would make it a different class, like a B+ or C. The integrity of the van chassis HAS to be kept, the manufacturer has very strict guidelines on how many holes can be cut, etc.
