    Not to be disrespectful but I have been through many Indian doctors because I am Indian myself. The last thing I wouldve expected is a foreigner to know more about vata kapha than an Indian doctor that studied through real lineage of ayurveda with saints and old vaidyas. This is crazy. This guy is absolutely genius in terms of ayurvedic knowledge. Much respect to this guy. Absolute gem of a video.

    I have recently been through a very stressful period in my life, and gained a lot of weight trying to figure out if I’m a true Vata-Kapha. This seems to make a lot of sense to me. My mind is truly Vata. I think I’m mostly having a Vata imbalance. This info is so crucial.

    I’m grateful for the way you have explained this and will be watching more of your videos. I love the description that when disturbed, Vata can also push Kapha out of balance... very complex but beautiful once I understand it. when I get emotional and anxious, I stress eat and become lethargic. I always thought I was a Vata because I was a skinny and quick person my whole life (until university these past couple years) but I got more of that soft weight on my face and belly and I feel physically slowed down and relaxed, and have always had good long sleeps, yet my mind is very busy and often anxious.

    Thank you so much for the information! As a part time musician, who has a day job as an architect, I am having a hard time to follow the suggestion that vata people live regularly and wake up early. Can a regularity of daily life for half of the week early and half of the week between 10am and 2am also be a choice for a vata/kapha musician like me? Thanks so much in advance and have a great day!:)

    Thank you Mark,i just so happen to experience anxiety and heaviness as well. I wondered if the heaviness is what causes my mind to appear slow and dull,and if it leads to more subconscious thinking taking place with Kapha heaviness. Last test i took got me Vata Pitta predominance,i was born in summer times during a Vata time of day as well. But feel Kapha might be a strong part of my Prakriti,which i still feel uncertain about as my memory about my childhood is foggy.

    So would soups made with bone broth, with some veggies and a bit of meat be good for someone with a VK dosha? It seems like this is what's implied.. soups are very light but when you add the earth aspect (bone broth and veggies) you get the requirements. Collagen is good for us in general but does nurture the brain and the immune system. Soup would also provide the needed warmth, correct?

    You mentioned warming colors in this talk to help balance a Vata-Kapha. I was wondering if you could expound on that more. Do I need to wear more "Autumn colors" or more "Spring" colors in the color analysis system?

    • @ChristineNavarroTV
      @ChristineNavarroTV 4 роки тому +2

      I would think vibrant, spicy colors of the sun, of warmth, like spices he’s suggesting in eating with foods. Focus on red-orange-yellow spectrum, more Summer than Fall or even Spring...but Spring is close in vibrancy. I’m Vata-Kapha, and personally have always gravitated toward the full rainbow, also enjoying black, white, gray, and tan...all the colors, as long as they’re fully saturated, and not pastel, bland, muted, or neon. Think of the sun fully ripening anything in sight, until the saturation point to its full color potential. Full saturation, intensity, and vibrancy make me feel alive.

      I don’t see it at all as being a superficial approach. He’s talking about how to take a proactive approach to balancing these somehow/ somewhat antagonizing energies, not only through diet and exercise, which is the basis of energy and for living for everyone, but on the necessity for structure and routines. These are a few basic guidelines on instructions for the self...to better understand how your body, as well as how your mind functions, which unfortunately isn’t offered in our Westernized culture. I very much appreciated his approach. Very educational.
