The sulfur (rotten egg smell) is usually a relaxer. They smell awful. Some salons hide them in shampoo. Would explain why she washed your hair so much. As a stylist myself, I’m so sorry for your awful experience.
Trim the ends off and get a salon quality mask or moistureizer. It'll come back. I'm a curly hair specialist. I've been a stylist for 31 years and I'm so sorry that happened to you. Plus if they can't straighten your hair properly then don't go back for them to ruin your haircut!
Just take care of it lots of deep conditioners don't cut it just baby it it doesn't look that bad at all just a looser curl pattern
I had a hairdresser destroy me head. I have no idea how my hair survived, but I had huge problems with my scalp. I was bleeding and had open wounds and burns all over.
this is over dramatic and the thumbnail is misleading. It says your hair FELL OUT. Your hair is fine and will be back to normal in no time with some extra TLC. You need to look up some videos of girls whose hair ACTUALLY fell out.
Danielle James She should look up Natural Hair Horror Stories, she will be grateful.. some women lost A LOT of hair, have bald patches and permanent scalp conditions. I do believe they may have put a light keratin or straightening treatment which is not okay if she did not want that. But it could be so so much worse. This was a bit dramatic.

I agree im just saying it could be worse and I think she's being a little dramatic especially when she could've just gotten up and left. thats a lot harder to do when you already have a head full of tin foiled bleach in your hair.

I worked in a salon once as a shampoo gurl and I actually heard a stylist on the phone with someone saying she got another client that she can't stand!! She went on to say how the client comes in her salon slinging her hair thinking she cute. Well I quit at that very moment, went outside and waited on the client and told her not to let Si*****a do her hair and explained what heppened.
I truly believe some stylist destroy a person's hair on purpose. I am so sorry that happened to you! Makes me so mad .!!!
I had the same thing happen to me. I went in at 5pm and at 1:30am I was done. I went in for highlights which was simple enough, I've been getting highlights for 10 years. After taking the foils out and washing my hair i went back to her chair where I seen my hair for the first time. The top part of my hair was that dreaded orangish color when the bleach isn't left on long enough the hair underneath looked really good i loved the color. She said she could fix it easily so she did it and washed me again off to the chair I went this time all of my hair was orange. I started crying at this point. She was beating me down it wasn't orange. I was very upset and just said okay I'm just gonna leave and I'll get it fixedTomorrow. She said no I can fix it (3rd time with bleach and who knows what else she used) I said okay if you are sure my hair isn't gonna break off she promised she was using Oleplex so i didn't need to worry about damage. When I looked in the mirror I was horrified it was solid orange on the top and dark underneath no highlights like I wanted but big sections of my hair was orange I'm never rude to anyone but I told her "you ruined my hair and I want to leave" the doors were locked bc it was 1:30am she wanted to try to fix it again I said no I'm leaving. Btw my head was burning like fire during all these attempts I had sores in my head and my hair was broken off at the root. I paid for the service in advance which was $180. I spend all that for my hair to be ruined the owner didn't offer me a refund when I called he told me the hairstylist usually does great work. I said I'll sent you pictures and see what you think. I was able to get it somewhat decent looking the next day by a hairstylist in my hometown. I'm gonna try to add pics of my hair.

Yea she most likely put a relaxer in it. I know a salons like to sneak it in the shampoo to make hair more manageable.
You are such a sweet person. I'm sorry this happened to you. I hope you hair heals and regrows super healthy. Sounds like this stylist snuck chemicals into the rinses, and used the heat to seal s in the straight. So it sounds like she intentionally tried to permanently straighten your hair. Which was not her place at all if you hadn't specifically asked for it. Good luck on your natural hair journey and don't be afraid to speak out and say, NO. Stop. This isn't what I want. It's your hair, your body, your say.

No hair burning doesn’t smell like rotten eggs ; she snuck a perm/relaxer in your hair to make straightening easier that’s explain the “washing” over and over . Perms & relaxers smell like rotten eggs.

For those who will comment saying that this video is so extra, I know it is. I'll be the first to admit that. I'm not saying that my hair is ruined, damaged yes, but not ruined. I'm not saying that I HAVE to cut it off now either. I was contemplating cutting it because I have been wanting to cut my hair for a while. Having the bangs heat damaged to where they are straight now has only added to my justification for getting it done, also my ends needed to be cut anyways. However, I did not get my hair cut in the end. I hope that you guys can understand that I don't feel as though this experience was the end of the world for me because it's not. Thank you guys for all of your suggestions and your understanding!

CuteCurlyGurl hun you should have seen my hair by 2 different hairstylists one ending me lose all my hair the 2nd hairstylist she was my best friend/hairstylist and she kept coming over my house doing my hair she was always drunk but she said she knew what she was doing and overprossed my hair about 10 or more inches had to be. cut off so dont feel bad you look good still hun i have a phobia of hairstylists now hun hugsss and blessings 🤗🤗🤗❤🐱❤
Two years ago I went to get a cut. At that point I was growing my hair for a couple years. So the length was to the top of my pants. I asked for long layers with my hair going into a v. I told her my hair is like super fine rubber bands when it’s wet. She was ripping through my hair and then I grabbed the brush and brushed my own hair. I told her I needed a leave in to brush it. She didn’t listen. She chopped my hair like she was blind cutting it. How did she ever get a license?! I lost five inches with that. Went back to same salon two weeks later to a different person....also butchered my hair. My hair has since grown out and is thigh length. I need a cut but I’m scared to go anywhere now

Oh no. It call a hot comb that the worsted my old salon manager tried to make me use that on someone... I refuse to do that to a clients hair....just keep doing treatments and I'm sorry that this person wasn't knowledgeable on natural hair because that technique usually done with someone with extremely thick hair that can with stand a hot comb😬😬
OMG can the music stop. First off, the purpose of shampooing five times is to get build up or any product off the hair. Second, putting the hair under a dryer is so that she didn't need to blow out your hair and so she could probably take someone in between. Why she used a hot comb on your hair is beyond me, i would have used a flat iron. The egg smell has nothing to do with the condition of your hair. The stylist might have used a product on you that smelled. Calm down. You need a protein and a moisture treatment and your curls will come back. Get your ends trimmed up also because your split ends wont do anything with putting a deep conditioner on them.
shampooing 5 times to get build up or any product off the hair??? All she needed to use is a Clarifying shampoo ONCE to do that.
You are beautiful sweetheart!!! I hear you, we have to be careful where we go. I lost about 5 or 6 inches messing with a black girl well woman and she was so rude about it. I don't argue or fight, I just won't EVER go back. We learn and move on

Just because someone is black does not mean they know how to do your natural hair. Some black girls have only had perms in their hair and they don't know how to deal with natural hair. And just because their professional doesn't mean that jealousy doesn't play in where they can be jealous of your hair damage it on purpose.

Anyone with intelligence would know, that using chemical hair restructuring products, will harm your hair. Not all hairstylists are cosmetologists. Most just learned the basics, but do not have the education to perform chemically altering a client's hair color, or restructuring a client's hair by relaxing or perming, or bleaching. All harsh chemicals create "holes" in the hair shaft, that's why a NEUTRALIZER has to be used to FILL in those holes, during perming or relaxing. Bleaching hair is extremely harsh...toners FILL in those holes, created from removing one's hair color, in readiness to add color/toner. I'm not a hairstylist/cosmetologist. Bit I took 4 different chemistry classes in college. ALL true cosmetologists, should be "chemically" or chemistry certified, to understand what chemicals & even the minerals that are in tap water, that we wash out hair with. If a stylist isn't chemically certified, I avoid them.
Sounds like she put a relaxant. Relaxants smell like rotten eggs. A lot of salons hide it. I am so sorry. I can't imagine...I have naturally curly hair like yours! I don't go to salons any more. :( I can't find a curly hair specialist around me and don't trust people any more.

Not all of us don't care. If I do something wrong I feel terrible and can't sleep. But you do have to be careful and always say something if you have concerns. So sorry they didn't treat you better
Lord!!! I know how you feel.... The salonist I went to, told me she knows how to trim 4c hair... My hair had so many layers. Am still dealing with the damage.. 😭😭😭😭😭

I went to the best salon and the supposedly the best hair stylist and he damaged my hair horrible and didn’t do the way i wanted my hair .and been asking me to pay $300 for my hair that he left horrible and i had to go to another salon to cut almost my whole hair i was crying cause my hair was really healthy and he left it horrible.
The salon bleached my hair and fucked it up my hair was falling out it took a year to get my hair to even look decent you’ll be fine after a few treatments..

It sounds like your hair needs a long break from all of the dyeing, straightening, and blow drying. I would suggest getting sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. Personally I use Renpure advanced coconut cream conditioner and shampoo. It leaves my hair clean while still giving it tons of moisture to combat the natural dryness of my hair. I really suggest washing every other day to prevent dryness. I would try hair masks focused on helping restoring damaged hair as well.

Your wrong about cosmetologist,the person was probably newly graduated and nervous. It's a extremely hard and complicated job.
I want your hairdresser to have thirty something years of experience and he deliberately broke all of my hair up in the back he put setting jail on natural hair when I got home I looked in the sink after I had a comb through it in a hole sink full of hair it's best to learn how to do your own hair and leave some of these beauticians alone it's all about the money for some of them not all I take better care of my hair myself and from this point on that's how we do it
I see the difference, but I don't think its too far gone. I very light oil spray could hide your fly-aways and make your curls looking more uniform. Luckily from this story it doesn't sound like this will be a permanent hair salon fail....but more like a set back. Rock those curls girl!

Oh...btw.....stop defining who you are by your hair, your looks....etc. A secure woman defines herself by who she is, inside. I see too many females who define themselves by using a man, car, home, clothes, jewelry, make-up, hair, friends, etc. Those insecure women are the ones who are never happy with themselves and create too much drama.
