With these noodles, we'll be making Korean Glass Noodle Stew! This stew is absolutely delicious ... and a great way to fill your body up during the Winter. Happy Holidays ya'll and Merry Ho ho ho from Korea ;-)

My wife is Korean and you guys are my secret weapon for surprising her with food from home. Thank you so much for the help!
If she approves, we're doing our job ;-)
Ohh my this is the sweetest!
That's cute
That is so cute!!
Yaaassss lol
Bf is Korean and just started to practice
0:49 ah yes, that is definitely a pinky
How did you know that I made japchae once and then buried the rest of the noodles in my pantry 😱
🤣🤣🤣
Same..😂
The last step of every Korean recipe is "drop an egg in it"
What a fine world this is; being able to enjoy the hard work of other people without having to expriment yourself
The glass noodle has a unique texture! When i have a soup or braised food in Korea, i always put glass noodles in it ! It soaks up a sauce or a soup very well :)
That's right - slippery noodles, love chewing on it ;-)
You are so right... after trying cooking Japchae, I have that half packet of glass noodle sitting in my pantry. Now I have another recipe to try with the balance noodle. Thank you.
“Onion turtle”?? Love it. Not a big fan of slippery glass noodles but this looks way too good. Definitely gonna try.
i love your measurement style lol
I did this today and it is really awesome. Follow all the measurements and steps. It is worth it.❤
I can't wait to try this! You & yo wifey are my go-to channel for Korean recipes! Thanks for sharing
This looks amazing. I'm gonna try it this weekend!
Your personality is *chef’s kiss*

Defo going to try this! Thank you 😍
Great timing! Sounds super good as always.
Love your measurements as always.
This was so delicious! Thank you for the recipe!
You reminded me of my mom. She was yelling why I have so many types of noodles. I told her it's for different stuff. She didn't believe me. I'll show her today. 😆
Bruhhhh catch me just dumping that saucy chicken over some rice though T_T
Just made this! It's delicious!
I love the way you measure your ingredients.
Great dish .... will definitely try this

Thank you for your video !!!
Just made this! It's delicious! I can't believe I cooked it! Bless you guys!!
I made this yesterday. So good! Thank you.
This looks great! Will give it a go next week. Making your mapo tofu tonight. Cheers from 🇨🇦
This is one of the best things i ever cooked. Never been wrong with your receipt. Thanks. Looking forward to the next one. Making x-mas in Germany so special
Every time I watch one of his videos I end up running to H-mart to make the recipe. I just saw this yesterday and my husband and we ate it for dinner tonight. It was SO GOOD!!! Definitely great on a cold night :) Thanks Daniel for always giving me new and easy things to cook!
Love your channel ❤
Looks delicious
Your videos just keep getting better and better, keep up the good work neighbor.
These are my favorite noodles! I can eat them daily 😍
Oh my goodness, that looks amazing! I bet beef slices would be good too. Yum.😋
Wow I love this! Will try it for my mukbang ❤️
this looks so good and perfect for the rainy and chilly weather we've been having lately here in California! I only have 소면 right now though ㅠㅠ
These measurements are great ha!!
I love this! It's so much easier than japchae with similar flavors.
Crazy delicious!
That egg💕
Love soups and stews when it gets colder out. The recipes you two post end up in my meal planning more and more. 😍
Am so excited to make this! I have all the ingredients in my cabinet 💕👌🏾
just made this and it turned out super delicious and it was so flavorful!!!! I added some cheese on top after and it was oh so gooooood!!! reminded me of jjimdak! thanks for the recipe!
This was perfect timing, I was just going to buy some glass noodles 🥰🥰
Wow that looks amazing Dan-yul 😲🤤! I’m definitely going to try this, I think I may use an egg yolk in a separate bowl for dipping sauce.
More singen‘ Dan-yul, more of that singin‘! 😀👍🏻! Great recipe! Those noodles are bomb!
Daniel you are in HD today 😱 looks good. And I'll definitely try this recipe.
It looks delicious!!! Yeah! We had snow here in Cheongju! Just right for Japchae!
Oh you are in Cheongju!! Greetings ;-)
grrrrrr this looks so so so good>:)))) looks like I’ll need to head to h mart for some ingredients😎😎
never knew wat 당면찌개was.. gonna make it at home. time to go food shoppin :))
Is spring onion the same as green onion? Boy your spring onions are so thick!
Daniel pointing to his thumb and saying pinky! 😂
I just made this dish today but modified a few things and it was still yummy. I used pork instead chicken because I had some thawed out. I used cabbage because I didn't have spinach nor mushrooms and I am allergic to fish so I used extra soy sauce. Still a banger. Loved it. If my daughter doesn't get home soon her portion will be gone. We skipped the rice too. I just forgot to make it and I was hungry. Keep sharing in 2021 Daniel and Katie
Perfect. I just bought two Korean clay pots. I’m excited to use it, but I have an electric coil stove top. Is there anything I need to do prior before I use it the first time. Been waiting a long time for this purchase and using it.
Trying it out 😍😍😍 Looks
Delicious .
Love from Assam India
This looks great. We are having our proper Christmas weather in Missouri.. cloudy and 31. So inspiring..lol. The snow is beautiful there. Keep up the great recipes. Can you do some more banchan dishes? I usually do the soy sprout, spinach or watercress sides. Need to expand my repetoire. Thanks Danuyil.
Oh, sending our regards to you from Korea! Yes, we'll have to brainstorm some more ;-)
I just bought industrial quantities of 당면 from my local Asian shop for 잡채 - perfect timing!
Hahahah I wish I saw this! I’ve got japchae cooking right now but this looks sooo good
Gonna try tonight because i have all of the ingredients and it's gonna snow in nyc!
I Liked before the chicken hit the pan ! 🤣 Love the different ways of cooking ramyeun....this recipe will be deployed SOON!
ohhhhhhhhhh thank you :D
0:50 how do you bend (or oppose) your “pinky” and your middle finger like that? 😆 just joking neighbor 😀
Yum
Thank you for sharing this recipe, it looks so yummy. We just had our first snow in the DMV ( Washington DC area) today.
Oh!! Very nice... ours ended up melting the next day... i want a few inches by January!
@@FutureNeighbor the rain afterwards melted ours but the low temps overnight caused everything to freeze over.
How did this man call me out like that yeah I made japchae once and never again but sheesh
Bob's your uncle 🤣😂🤣 ¡Jájájá! Now you've done it:
Dan-yun, you've surpassed all my favorite channels for Asian fare, HANDS DOWN! 🤜🤛 Woot!
Thanks to you, I can now make some amazing banchans & stews that thrill even my most picky & culture gun-shy American friends. LOL. (No, no- really! They need some more SPICE in their lives, FOR REAL! 😂 I'm convinced they think all flavor & heat comes from ONE bottle or ingredient... No way, señor! I gotta educate these silly little Americanitos... )
Where was I? Oh yes! THANKING YOU! My fascination with the numerous & varied Asian cultures came out sheer need (due to poverty, my staples were pretty slim) & straight up curiosity because it's so different from my own culture. (My family is from Centro America. Beans & rice, dog. 😉👌)
The culinary arts are dominated by the most colorful, flavorful dishes, as well as those with the most creative presentation.
Thanks to YOU (and our college town's singular Asian market here- thank goodness 😆)- I've had the most fun in the kitchen prepping your dishes! Having a pretty good handle of how to make Japanese bento boxes over the last 3yrs, I decided to bring a little more 💗 & SEOUL into my home after the pandemic hit the U.S.
I now make comforting & nutritious dishes that not only impress my family and nourish my friends-- it makes mi corazón happy! 🍲🥄😊🥢

Where do you buy your clay pots? I've seen some at a store here in Korea called Panda Pam but I would like to make sure I'm buying a good quality pot. I'm sure they have them at LotteMart and Emart. Are those good quality?
Is there something I can substitute the chicken with? Maybe tofu or more mushrooms?
I saw sweet potato noodles (I think three different versions) in a thai/Vietnamese/chin/kor market mix.
This looks amazing as usual ! I don’t eat meat though only fish do think it would work with some prawns? Hello from the uk 🇬🇧
I love glass noodles! I have mastered japchae but maybe i need to try this as my next adventure! This looks pretty good and not too hard - although i am not a mushroom fan - any ideas on what i can substitute for it?
Just skip it - more of an accessory vegetable!
@@FutureNeighbor Ok thanks! Well now i feel better. Appreciate the answer! Now no pressure on mushrooms lol
yummy 😋😋
beautiful!!!, i'm going to try this with shirataki noodles on my keto meal, and instead of the sugar I'll use monkfruit sweetener, thank you for the inspo, Blessings Neighbors
Does this also work with the really thick noodles?
Yum😋
My mom: in Korea it is a lot warmer then here
Meanwhile: you guys having snow weeks before us
What type of soy sauce do you use? Does it have to be Korean or Japanese soy sauce?
I like your pan. Where from? 🔥🌟😺
BOBS YOUR UNCLE ??? 😂😂😂😂😂 i can never get enough of you guys
Rock on 🤘 I love that smokey flavor of sesame oil.
Can't find spring onion here...can we sub in just plain green onion the skinny kind?
Is it okay to cook it without mushrooms?
Maybe it's just me, but it seems so odd to see someone eating noodles over rice. Looks delicious and something I'm definitely planning on trying.
Can I use tofu instead of chicken?
Hey neighbor! I just want to let you know that I made your bulgogi rice cake, but I added mushrooms to make it vegan and added perilla leaf in the end! 👍
Nice! Did you like the flavors -- the perilla leaf, nice!!
could this be done with other types of noodles ?
Chinese glass noodle or rice vermicelli
India 🇮🇳 girl here love ❤you
My little sister's friend (both in fourth grade) LOVE japchae! Except they call them "clear noodles" because they never remember the Korean name lol
