There’s nothing like a European night at old Trafford my best memory of my few games was Rooney’s debut queuing up for the train after the fenerbace fans applauding as they walked past us. I’d grabbed my little brother cos of the reputation of Turkish fans and they were total class cos we’d all been treated to a bit of history
@ I’ve followed United 1985 didn’t get to go until 2002 and I’ve not been since 2015 when my son was born. If it’s so “Soulless” let someone that appreciates it have your seat? And maybe be a little less patronising
@@bigtguitars7312 don’t be a smacked arse. It’s almost as if what I said was controversial when it’s pretty well documented and/or regaled by match goers since well before 2015!
Pretty bang average display, Amad saved the team from further embarrassment, Lindelof and Maz good, seriously Amorin has a seriously tough job, with this squad, to many overrated overhyped overpaid players in it
Almost Mission Impossible for Amorim because we don't have the PSR space to support him on the transfer market thanks to ETH insisting on buying dross for too much money and the board going along with that. That will ensure we'll be mid table for some time to come.
I was watching the POAK fans, and they were great. Everything they did seemed to be in unison. The handwaving was great. Amad was poor in the first half. He kept making the wrong decisions. 2nd half, he was immense.
Great away fans! Jonny (Evans, not the PAOK guy) 10 I'm outta here … bye! PS: Andy, I've got a similar video but of of Gladbach fans when they were losing 0:4 at home incredible support!
Just wondering Andy I might be related to you all joking aside, have you heard of the Laverty's in N.Ireland lol. POAK fans were amazing, only bettered by Sir Johnny Evans. Great stuff
I know everyone's been saying it over the years but watching that PAOK game, that's the shi*test Man United side I've seen ever. The lack of quality, lack of idea, was 'mid-table'. At least Rúben Amorim has a blank slate to work from. Usually, we'd have at least one top player who would drag the level up, but these days our best player is Bruno, and that's not a good thing even though he's class on his day.
Hojlund makes the runs but often gets no assists or gets 'played in' ...................but for the second goal hojlund did make a good run to the left to make more space for Amad to shoot . Hojlund works hard but is not getting the goals which puts pressure on him thus making the task more difficult . Good result all things considered .
Ugarte will be solid we look better with him in the side . If city bought Ugarte he wouldn’t be playing for the first six months unfortunately we need him in from the start so he will adapt and be the player we signed
He isn't a young kid and plays quite a one dimensional game, so how much adaptation is really required? Any other club that buys players for 50-60m puts them straight into the team expecting them to contribute straight away.
Giving Hojlund 5 is generous! He was abysmal. Whenever the ball came to him he fumbled around and didn't even gain possession. Also, he never got into good positions in the box. Like you, I want it to work out, but I think he might well be added to the list of about half a dozen BUSTS! Big money busts! Agh...
To put that into context, Osimhen was available in August for a smaller transfer fee than we paid for Hojlund who hadn't even played or scored much when we bought him. How farking stupid or desperate is United when we splash the cash?
@@languageoffootball I know, but I'm talking about relative values. We spent more on an unproven commodity who had only scored something like 9 goals in his professional career than a world class striker would have cost this year. I'm hoping the new decision makers will start doing better transfer business, but based on what they did last summer I'm not yet convinced.
@@gustaaf1892 tbf RH is around 5 years younger and VO is only on loan at Galatasaray if I’m not mistaken. By the end of the season he’ll only have 1 year left on his deal with Napoli so utd will surely have a chance to buy him at a knocked down price. When you’re out of the CL you often have to buy young to get value and generate future revenues, and with that comes risk. RH is still very young. It’s not inconceivable that he’ll improve and/or come good and then he would be a real asset as he’d likely not reach his peak until around 2031 at which point VO will be long forgotten about.
@@languageoffootball We were in the CL when we bought Hojlund. For a little while last season I thought Hojlund could turn into something decent, but since then he has show very little. He is part of our all round attacking woes. He isn't helped by the way United plays, but by now you want to see some improvement. His first touch can be very poor, which is not a good sign of what is to come. Hopefully Amorim can come up with something that will bring the best out of him. What is clear is that United paid more than double what he should have cost last year. Even so, Hojlund deserves to play ahead of Zirkzee who needs to be offloaded as soon as possible to make way for another striker.
How does Evans get a 10 and Amad gets a 9....BOLLOCKS MAN...EDIT been told by some great Reds that JE gets a 10 if he plays no matter what...I withdraw my earlier statement 😳

Bought the book a really good read could not put it down]
'Old Trafford roared in recognition of the Belfast Baresi'.
Pure poetry Andy ! 👏👏👏👏
In Jonny Evans we trust. 10/10 😂
the legend that is Jonny Evans!
Thanks Andy, good to see you looking a bit happier 👍🏼
Nicely done, looking forward every time to your player ratings after each match...
Those paok fans are superb aren't they. Dalots shooting dear oh dear, he would never win a coconut in blackpool would he
He’s a liability!!!
He's absolutely appalling and the praise he has received is a damning indictment of just how far United's playing standards have fallen.
I'm only here to cast my rating for Jonny Evans. How can it be anything but 10? 🤷♀
Same here. It's a given.😂
I thought we were awful again, only for Amad being brave we looked like struggling to score again
Paok have fantastic fans but pleased they went home with a loss
Best manchester united journalist out there
Game flat apart from occasional flashes. Fair ratings. Amorim has a big task to change this team from bang average. 🎉
Greek fans are nuts. In a good way. Luckily, they didn't bring the flares with them. Would have looked like a war zone.
Yea, you could hear them chanting and cheering over large parts of the game, even when United had the ball, and when POAK were losing. Huge energy..
2:01 The Belfast Baresi 😂😂

It’s been soulless since about 1994 mate. People so easily pleased by awful corporate atmospheres.

I've never been a dalot fan but he's getting so bad now and I hope the new manager is not swayed by national loyalties
I can't see how Dalot fits going forward. He is good but not outstanding.
PAOK fans were better than the football for a lot of that! Superb display. Still, glad for a win.

Can’t wait for Ugarte to prove you dead wrong in Amorim’s system.
Hoping for that silver lining to come to fruition.
"belfast Berasi" brilliant!
