You don't need a heater for the tank FYI unless your house gets super cold . Watch out for your turtle climbing out on the wood and falling out of the tank though.
@@MotoCampAdv yea thanks for the tip! And the heater turns off automatically at temperature that I set it for so I don’t have to worry about over heating the water
We want you back! Hey man I love your videos but even if you are done with UA-cam, can you make a video just showing us how you and your turtles are doing? And if you will ever post again? Thanks.
That’s a great setup! I have a baby Mississippi Mud Turtle and baby Razorback Musk Turtle and this game me some clever ideas, especially for the fog machine!
Can even paint the wood black if u wanted it to look niceer but i think it works best u got some small shelf space on both sides and a large storage underneath
not sure if you will get this comment but... i adopted a 10yr old red-eared slider from someone who passed away. I watched a bunch of your videos and appreciate the information! Definitely helpful to get me up to speed.
@@Startupsandsushi maybe in the future! But at the moment I just want to focus on making good videos lol, I don’t want to bother people asking for money Maybe in the future if my channel grows and I’ll need money to do more projects like this haha
What an awesome tank for an awesome turtle. Great job on everything. Stinky is one lucky turtle to be living in that paradise. The driftwood is perfect
Turtles are well renown for climbing and jumping out of the tank, therefore, you might want to position your piece of would a different way. Take care.
Awesome scape! I had issues with emersed wood growing mold. Hopefully yours does not! I would have loved to bear more technical specs like size of tank, filtration, and a better view of how you set up that fog machine. Can't wait for an update!
Just stumbled upon this video. Thank you for the informations! Since you posted this a while ago, did you have any problems with the little guy trying to escape using the driftwood?
That driftwood and the background are nice! My mud turtle loves to bury herself also. I got playsand from Lowe’s for like $8 for 100lb of sand (I didn’t use it all, but I have fish tanks too). Just have to rinse it a lot.
I think it might just be the angle of the camera because it’s looking good, it’s cinder blocks, they’re really heavy. It’s also an idea from many professional fish keepers that have a heavier tank than mine and fill their tank all the way up, it’s been a month already and it’s doing amazing lol But I appreciate you looking out, means a lot but I can promise you that the stand is doing great
Turtle-y awesome content! Got gifted two I think they are called red eared baby sliders for Christmas. Anxious but excited about my journey with them. Love how you DIY this tank. It looks great by the way.
Love the channel. Good music choices too. I just got a new african sideneck and he is so non active compared to my red ear. Hope he is okay. Sure I am just over thinking.
Hey, I just found your channel and was excited to explore more but I noticed that you stopped posting!Whatever the reason I hope that you’re able to go past it and continue UA-cam and also loved your videos!🥰
I see your extension cord. Is it a surge protector? :D Should be safe to plug in the filter, lights and heater plugs in there? Edit: Love the driftwood!
As you know I breed expensive albino and snow turtles and rare Guppies now steadily. Still not keened on the idea so many people utilize tropical fish as feeders known to have toxins to shorten the lives of their pets. But as of your designing the tanks, I really like how you are setting their enclosures up. It looks nice. My wife has a mud turtle though I don't keep them myself, it has become part of the family. My wife owns a pink belly sideneck turtle that is het for albino meaning it has albino genes that is still kinda young. It was the runt in all the sidenecks. My wife is raising him to be a bit bigger and has plans to put them together later this year when it's a bit bigger as we fear putting our Albino or snow turtles with them as normal turtles tend to aim to nip their feet and tails if not careful as I think that they think it's shrimp based on colors. But we believe out one sideneck will be great with our mud turtle , can't wait until he is a bit bigger though. Then you can come over and put their tank together lol.
It’s simply a piece of egg crate with a foam sheet in top so that the edge of the driftwood wouldn’t simply go through the egg crate since it has little holes :)
just checked the fog machine cuz I find it very cool but is it really ultrasonic? That seems like a terrible idea since many creatures in the animal kingdom can hear ultrasound!
OK apparently it's fin "The reason is that tortoises just cannot hear ultrasonic frequencies. Ultrasound is very high-pitched (more than 20,000 Hz), and tortoises cannot hear any type of frequency that is higher than 1000 Hz." but this needs to be checked again since the source was not exactly scientific.
Hi HI! i'm in need of ALOT of help right now and google isn't really helping me rn so yeah I could really use some advice right now. I've been seeing that my turtle's feces are a really dark green/black colour and I've now noticed these tiny red balls floating around in her water. I'm thinking its bladder stones but I'm really not sure and I'm so worried. I've had her for a little less than a year now and she has already had a respiratory problem I'm starting to think I'm doing a terrible job at this turtle parenting thing- I'm unable to make a vet appointment at the moment due to exams so what should I do in the mean time??? she's eating normally and hasn't had a change in behaviour or anything. She's still getting over the respiratory infection so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with that because I'm not seeing any yt videos anywhere on this and I'm just so scared. Can someone help please. Thank You
Thanks for watching! :) We’ll be getting fish in my next vlog

Is there a video on how you clean this tank? I don't like sand because it is so hard to clean. I have river pebbles as substrate.

Hey bro! How are you?
Hey where did you get all the supplies for that tank? Also is that less than $250? I wanna get a setup like that for a mud turtle
Can a RES survive in 18°C? Because I'm going to a vacation but I'm afraid he might die left alone.
Yo thank you I’m going to make something very similar for my boy Chuckie
Glad I can inspire you! Thanks for watching :)
Almost now
Looks amazing!
Thanks! :)
you need much more sand at the bottom such as a 5 cm layer minimum. The turtle digs because the species likes to burry in mud.
I bought 2 turtles a cumberland turtle and a river cooter and I literally spend way more for their tank stuff than the turtles themselves
jadi, stink pot ada, longger head ada, dan brazil albino ada... sip... mantap... oke... 🤗🤗🤗
At what age do red ear sliders eat vegetables?
Where did you go?
Hi what is that white thing you used to stand the drift wood?
It’s simply a piece of egg crate with a foam sheet in top so that the edge of the driftwood wouldn’t simply go through the egg crate since it has little holes :)
Is it ok to use this glue?
