Skip’s story of the naked dwarf reminded me of the old (1981) pc rpg wizardry. At the highest levels you could play a priest-ninja who, because of level abilities, could almost be impossible to hit (if wearing no armor) and inflict massive damage (if holding no weapon). Thanks for bringing back the memory Skip!
So basically a James Bond 00-Setting. This could be real fun if they would make it a bit more like "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" tailing Suspects and offing them quietly or if needed with a message to the other side.
Golden sun was such an amazing freakin game, well both the first first really need to be considered to together but they were individually and together so much better than you would ever have expected them to be🤩🤩
@@TheGlassCannon You’re Welcome and definitely continue everything the way you do it. I enjoy watching you guys game regularly and definitely would enjoy a session. Definitely what made me brush off my GM skills and learn VTT stuff.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is such a massive game that I’ve been playing it off and on for more than a year and I’m not sure I’m actually close to the end. Great combat. You really feel like a rampaging viking warrior with quasi-super powers!

My favs? All the gold box ssi ad&d games on my souped up c64. Autoduel, also c64. FF Tactics on the PS 2, all the Fallouts, Skyrim. Tetris on my old Gameboy.
I loved early PC games from the 1,990s All the sierra games and Lucas arts games. Also loved trade wars door game on dial up bbs,s and legend of the red dragon. I also spent my summers on a lake .During the week no one was around and there was this little camp place that had a tiny arcade I would hang out at . I played a lot of operation wolf. That was a fun night my cousins were all with me. And of course lots of street fighter And mortal Kombat Once they came out.
Woah. What a fun yet never expected cast. Abu was Bayek, didn't know that either. Looking forward to Part 2. Golden Sun was a GBA gem. I was maybe a little young and tried to rush it which may have made it harder but a younger me found the pixel art charming AF.

I got the game Rygar from Kaybee toys back in the day, but the game was so choppy and flaky I tried to take it back.I could only do an exchange, and Kaybee didn't have a huge selection, so I got Goonies 2 (I watched the movie like 40 times as a kid). Ended up liking it a lot, oddly enough Rygar had a yo-yo type weapon as well. Maniac Mansion was one of those I heard about but nobody had.
Hello ! Quick question do the skill you unlock with the sync bar is the same for the ancestor and the modern character? Do you only have one sync bar or do you have 2 character sheet? Thanks
Friends of 'the pod', awe, it's like your family of whales! How cute! Also this is my first time with Skid GMing, excited for this! As usual ill leave several comments partially for me, partially for the algorithm.
Skid also GMed for Star Trek and The One Ring starter set. He's a bit nervous sometimes, but he clearly has a huge love for every series the games are based on.
@@thehermitthetower1126 I'd say The One Ring. Both games were part of their New Game Who Dis series, and with 4 episodes, it'll keep you occupied for at least 5-6 hours. The system is a blast IMO; watching then play got me interested enough to check out the starter set, and I fell in love so hard thst the core book soon followed. If you're into Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, definitely recommend it.
Joe does NOT understand UK firearms laws lol Your shotgun you could just about get especially if your a member of a clay shooting group But your not getting a license for a handgun unless you're police or forces and it's being kept at the range even if you do And keeping guns in the back of your car can get you serious prison time And a food based tavern is a gastro pub

Assassins creed would be infinitely more interesting with more steaks and less plots holes if there was no future portion. No sci-fi. Just tell the stories of various assassins through time and have them interweave. No these are are genetic memories. Wait what? That’s not even a thing…period and we know it… Pretend it is! Ok well then these are memories. The hero either lived to reproduce or didn’t. So there’s no suspense. No adrenaline or action. It will work out because this was the past. Also wait is it reading your dna digitally? Because a ps5 isn’t taking your blood every time you play call of duty. That’s not…. A possible thing to do with technology. You need a sample. Period. Or we could just make this about pirates and knights? No we HAVE to have the future portion?…sigh…:
Wait so the languages YOU speak in the future are relevant to what languages your ancestor in the past memories is able to understand and interact with? So altairs descendant spoke not just Arabic but 600 year old Arabic? You ever read direct Shakespeare transcripts? You…can’t… it’s not “English”.
What if I used the machine to inhabit my ancestor from Germany. I don’t speak German and he didn’t have memories of him speaking English while everyone was confused. So when I experience the memories what do I see?
I mean I agree, but they got rid of the 'hero has to reproduce' thing a couple of games ago. Now you just need a DNA sample of their's that has survived until the present, not a direct descendant and anyone can relive the memory. Ironically they still forced one of the protagonists who you could play as strictly lesbian or gay to have children despite there being literally no need and fucked up.
LOVE to see Abu on more Glass Cannon stuff! Awesome player!
Joe showing the dice at one point during Abu's rolls was hugely helpful in getting a sense of the mechanics of this fun looking game.

FF Tactics was my absolute JAM. Such a fun take on the series.
My dream Assassins' Creed game spans from the 50s to 89, and spans the Cold War, playing two descendents from both sides.
So basically a James Bond 00-Setting. This could be real fun if they would make it a bit more like "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" tailing Suspects and offing them quietly or if needed with a message to the other side.
I remember playing the first Assassin’s Creed and how they worked to make it historically accurate. Such an amazing set of games.
I never finished the first game, but I spent hours upon hours parkouring around the city messing with guards 😂
That was fun too. I also like jumping off the tall buildings into the hay.😊
I had no idea Abu was the voice of Bayek. Now I'm gonna have to watch Haunted City!
It's one of their best shows, maybe only beaten by Get in the Trunk.

Abu was so good in AC Origins. Great to see him here! Y’all have impeccable taste in players. 👌
Wow, I remember Golden Sun. That game was awesome
So unexpected! Didn’t think this was coming up so soon! Glad for the new series! Go Skid go!

Am I the only one who watched Raised by Wolves AFTER seeing Abu Salim on the GCN?
Nope, though I was already watching it before I saw him on GCN. Great show! Too bad it got cancelled, good sci-fi shows are hard to come by.
Skid: you can be anybody - Babe Ruth, please.
I just realized Joe should do a British accent and Abu should do a deep DelCo, PA, accent. I would watch a whole season of that.
Major love for Golden Sun. Summoning was the sickest thing ever and the story is burnt in my mind.
I audibly reacted when Joe said he was spurs.

An old favorite for me was, Chaos Engine on the Sega Megadrive...
The Bitmap Brothers made great games!
Final Fantasy Tactics is in my top 3 fav games of all time. Right up there with Diablo 2 LoD and probably World of Warcraft up to Wrath.
I love anything that stems from the old Tactics Ogre franchise. From Ogre Battle to the spiritual successor that was Final Fantasy Tactics.
