you gotta be more indepth about facewear, i went into the faceware website expecting to find a simple headtracking software and was met with confusion as there wasnt anything that pointed out to being the thing that i have to use in star citizen. You cant just expect people to immediately understand what to do by just mentioning faceware and not point out what exactly to install. Please update the video or even link the program itself in the description as this video is the closest ive been to finding a tutorial on how to use a webcam for headtracking (not face tracking either)
I'm slightly confused. Faceware is integrated into the game itself as i said at 01:03? There's nothing to install or download you just need a webcam plugged in (or a phone running droid cam to act as a webcam), then go into the settings, set the camera and calibrate as detailed at 01:34
David, i would urge you to take the same amount of effort you put into writing this comment, and put that into listening better. Further more, Robot Spartan has responded helping you out and you haven't said anything back to him. Shame. Let's be a bit more decent, shall we?
@@Mr-R.R. ah man i forgot bout this comment, i had resolved the issue after a good nights sleep. Sorry for the weird comment, i was quite tippsy at the time and was a bit hot headed as well. Sorry bout that
hey man, im using a delan clip and i use it all the time in dcs but for some reason in star citizen its not working... do i need to do anything in the game detection or anything els.... cheers
Make sure the camera source is set to the correct one. Also make sure the camera is actually working (you can use the windows camera app for that) as sometimes there are missing drivers for webcams
Could someone try to help me out? I am trying to follow up all the calibrations setups and everything seems to be alright until I get into the settings of the game, It does not show any camera/Webcam Option to calibrate its just blank, This is the last thing I can't seem to figure out!
Could you elaborate? When you say no camera option, do you mean In the list where you select your camera? Or do you mean the box that pops up when you click calibrate?
@@d4cndev ah gotcha. thats going to be SC not seeing the camera for whatever reason. I'd check if its windows or SC by opening the windows camera application and seeing if that shows anything. If not, its a windows side issue, and you may need to alter some settings or check drivers
I have a full beard as well and said tf with it and got the delanclip fusion complete kit 100$ it's wireless comes with everything u need not gonna shave a beard I've been growing for 12 years I'm beyond zz top
Double check in the settings that you set the camera source as the same for both. If it can face track, it SHOULD be able to head track Also check the lil octodude is moving
SC doesn't require a stupidly high end rig any more. Mine was maybe £1500? And that's with some unnecessarily higher end components (more expensive mobo, case, fans etc) and i sit comfortably at 50+ fps Also don't need a thousand dollar phone. I used my 6 year old (granted, flagship at the time) phone, which is about on par with any mid range mobile in the last 3-4 years. Pretty much everyone is going to have a phone that is more than good enough for this. Thing to keep in mind is that TrackIR is something i would ONLY use in SC, not any of the other dozens of games i play on my PC. I can justify a high end keyboard and mouse because they get used in everything. But trackIR, for one game? That's where the difficulty in justifying the price comes in
I know im late to this thread but just found it and wanted to say thank you ! im slowly getting the hang of using this setup and loving it
Makes me happy to know it was of use to someone 🙂
Ah thank you man! Didn’t know what the curves do so this helped a ton!
Octodude! ... i love how happy you ALWAYS look xD
i was happy in the image!
Thanks for the great video!!!
I plan to start using this in my adventures in the vers and this helped me! o7
happy to be of service :)
Ugggh.....great video. If only I could find a version of this for Ubuntu linux
Damn, never considered Linux distros in this. If I ever spot something I'll pop it on here

dont know anything about delan clips im afraid! the game will be looking for a camera source, so it depends how the software treats it
I did it step by step but it’s still not moving in game
I think it may have bugged recently. i need to look into it again
Do both your networks have to be over wifi?
Nope! I have my PC wired, and phone on wifi. Just needs to be the same network :)
@ thank you 🙏
I just get a black screen on the window when i press calibrate

Is not working to me, the game doesn't recognize that I'm with tracker

Im surprised a clip on still has the issue, as thats using probes?
Also, just the consideration of an alteration to a ZZ beard is heresy
facial tracking worked but head tracking didnt

Talking about not being able to justify head tracking while running a gaming rig that can run SC....... OK. People with 1000 dollar phones tho....
