Definitely, and this one has both! I think Indiglo/backlight is definitely underused by companies. Imagine a solar powered quartz analogue dive watch with a backlight function...
Ah the loud ticking timex haha have to say that the indiglo function is one of the most underrated features in the world of watches. Cool little field watch for pretty much pocket change. 👍
It's grand on wrist, but put it on a hard surface and it gets a bit louder. NATO helps deaden it, and the expedition isn't the worst(one of my Waterbury's is mental!)
Now that you say it, I see it. But I think that probably goes for a lot of military style watches. The design brief is simple, easy to read, and normally black dial for camouflage/glare reduction.
Great video, I the green strap it comes with is listed as ''Canvas.'' like what they make tents out of. I absolutely love the ''TICKING.'' I love it. I bought a 36mm timex for work ''i do security,'' so i did not want an expensive watch ''in case i have to throw out the trash... so to speak.'' Then after a about 2 to 3 mouths i started really falling in love with the watch. The best part the managers at the club have 2-3 Hunderd dollar watches but no indiglo. While my LUM and INDIGLO puts all of them to shame. I have the ''Expedtition Scout/Acadia. The same as this watch except mine has a Crown Guard. Great view.
How much did you pay for the watch? The ebay link doesn't work anymore and the cheapest similar I could find is £47.96. Is it similar to your purchase price?
It is a loud bugger alright! Especially if you leave it with the case on a solid surface like a bedside locker, it reverberates. Still, looks are lovely
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews ye it got the look to say it’s plastic lol not bad for a cheapy cheapo. do timex have one similar with the silent movement?
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews the crown dose not seem to engage the indiglo. Bought from kohl’s. Looks like it needs a watch press to access the battery.
Unfortunately without seeing it I can't be too much help, I'd say return it to them if the the indiglo isn't working as it should according to the manual. I don't have a chrono but I assumed it's the same as the Scout, just press the crown in firmly. If you're not comfortable changing the battery to test, I'd say return it
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews Thanks for the reply 😊.Can you please tell me whether Timex E class surgical steel Chronograph Enigma (TWEG18600) have indiglow?(The user manual is really confusing and generic.)
I really love the Indiglo feature. It tells time significantly better than traditional lume. It's the reason why I bought a Timex.

Mine stopped working in 20 days

Indiglo is so much fun, such a silly thing but it gives me such a kick to use it. Cheers for watching!
I have this watch and love it especially the price, bit that ticking sound is the absolute worse! Good informative review thank you
I love Timex watches. Bought one last month. I like their history. Timex started 1854 so I like their history and fair quality of these watches🎉
Indiglo, The main reason to me for purchase my timex expedition scout.
The dreaded Timex tick haha! Don't ask me why but your intro music takes me back to watching Rocky 4

mine is not loud at all
Maybe you were lucky, mine is very audible compared to other quartz movements I have. Still a good watch though
They have taken a lot of inspiration from Hamilton Khaki while designing it. Love the indiglo, nice review.

I’m on battery #2 with my timex like this have never had a problem with it havehad the each 5 years now
They are simple, easy and fun watches, nothing too hard to understand👍

Looks nice, I bought it today for Amazon Prime day.
Excellent! Hope it was a good deal
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews 37e delivered to Cork so not bad. Looking forward to receiving it.
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews Nice review by the way, new subscriber.
Can't argue with that! Think I paid about the €40 mark from memory on eBay. Anything under 50 is worth a punt for these
Help. Yo tengo uno igual pero ya no prende el indiglo, si da la hora. Creen que sea la batería?
If you have to set the date, how does the watch know whether the month has 29, 30, or 31 days in the month?
It doesn't. You have to correct the date when needed.
My hands on mine are moving extremely fast, and I can’t figure out how to stop it.
Sounds like it might be magnetised? Have you tried getting a demagnetiser on Amazon/AliExpress/eBay?
How much did you pay for the watch? The ebay link doesn't work anymore and the cheapest similar I could find is £47.96. Is it similar to your purchase price?
Hey, I think I paid about that, maybe closer to £42 or so, but it has been a while since that review. In my head I spent about €45, which is £42?
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews Thank you :)
@@petergula5283 These are currently £40 on Amazon.
Hi, I have this watch I really like your bracelets Can I have link for the desert looking one?
Just added a link to it in the description of the video for you 👍
nice review bro
Thanks! Also have another Timex up recently, if you haven't seen it check it out
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews will surely do, great channel you have here! 👌🏻
I bought one today but I don’t like the noise of the tick tock of the seconds hand

Timex takes a licking and keep on ticking, some of you may be too young to remember that logo.
They do, the only downside being sometimes you can hear that ticking while you try to sleep! 😂still have a few of them though, nice pieces
Why is the date so small? makes no sense, guess they don't want us to buy the watch.
It is a bit small alright, definitely not good for those who are hard of sight
I purchased the expedition chronograph and the indiglo dose not function. Any ideas?
Is it second hand? It could be the battery is low, I have an Ironman Timex that had that issue, swapped the battery and hey presto, back to life.

wow I think that watch isn't tight enough. Get some gorilla glue and make it one with your skin. lol
Do you have feeling in your fingers?
To each their own. I hate my watch moving around on my wrist, my rule is I should be able to just about get one finger under the strap
Does all timex analog watches have indiglow feature?
No,lots do but not all of them by any means
