Arrived the beginning of the week in San Diego with the family. Went to La Jolla yesterday and it was amazing. We are going to inspect some other beaches today! Looks like perfect weather.
Good job! I lived in San Diego and have been to all those beaches.I like the rollercoaster and amusement park vibe of Mission beach ,also like the boardwalk and high energy of Pacific beachOcean Beach is ok,I did some Bogeyboarding there.I also dove off the rocks at La Jolla shores beach. My favorite is Black's,as it is so remote, scenic, great waves and nude.I never liked the hike down or up!Last time I did that I was 43 and in decent shape.I am now 60,not in shape and my knees bother me!.When I do hope to return maybe go to a beach with easy access..I used to live in Northern Ca ,on the Mendocino coast in the town Fort Bragg,it is so beautiful yet remote.Try to visit for a long weekend and do a Vlog about it.Good luck making more Vlogs!
I am a local, and I recommended Pacific Terrace Hotel. It is great if you like Pacific Beach and also like nice hotels with a pool. It is good for families as well.
Very helpful in deciding how to spend the weekend and whether or not we should go to San Diego this weekend. I’m curious to see what you have to say about L.A., where I’m from.😋
Great guide! I would love to check out Ocean Beach's pier someday. I've always enjoyed walking out a long pier and then staring out at the water as well as back toward the shore. Piers provide some great scenery!
@@YellowProductions It was very informative and you got into details which were very useful. As I fell in love with the city virtually I'm planning to come over for some time. Have you published any videos about the lifestyle in general in San Diego, the business aspect and life in general?
Great video, Chris. Besides the La Jolla area, which beach is the most quiet and family friendly? Ocean, Mission or Pacific? Which one has the least amount of homeless ?
Bonjour, I love your San Diego Beach Guide. I am planning a trip to San Diego on November 2019 for my two suns. They love snow boarding and the now want to try surfing. Any suggestion?
Thanks for the input Vince. This video only focused on beaches in the city of San Diego. Which is why those, in Coronado and Encinitas weren't included.
sweety what beach do you recommend me I will get with a family with kids so I don't need big waves or surf just a beautiful view and get so shadow to don't be exposed to the sun too many hours m sorry my English I hope I can held me and understand me xoxo
Depends what you're looking for. The Hyatt in the gaslamp district is a classic: ua-cam.com/video/Vd1WElRaifk/v-deo.html But my favorite is the Park Hyatt in Carlsbad: ua-cam.com/video/4xQHFqpaRzM/v-deo.html
Which access did you try? I know Torrey Pines is closed... but what about the road off Black Gold road? You can also walk in on the beach itself from the Del Mar side of Torrey Pines.
@@YellowProductions Yes I tried through N Torrey Pines road going north, I was going to turn left but no, closed road. I thought of walking down the beach but it seemed far and it was overcast so I did not. That's another thing you should mention in your video, it's not always sunny on San Diego beaches in the summer.
In my experience it feels like ice in any Pacific water, even in August, from Mexico on up! And speaking of Mexico and on down, pollution becomes an issue. I even saw some suspicious very, very heavy suds at La Jolla - whatever they were.
@@paulhaney8326 Ha ha. But Maine is even north of some of Canada. That sunny, balmy south Commiefornia has water that bone-numbingly cold - in the middle of summer - is bewildering (which I believe they explain is due to Arctic currents).
The water is never really warm in California. What you see in this video is what the water looks like most of the time. Average water temp in the summer is 70F. In the winter its 55F. Definitely wetsuit temperature in the winter
Nice but there lot need to be done around Beaches of SD have cheap trash cans, like third world country. Not much showers so sand is carried every ware - sidewalks, stores and your car. Not much restrooms and ones that there are very disgusting. Many boardwalks are very old and in very poor condition. City cry that there no money to do anything = I guess they do not charge enough tourist tax. Highways has much better landscaping than sea side. No trolley to any of the beach. Not enough parings. Not much food stands. Hundreds of rules.
hmmmmmmm You aren't choosing the best bars/restaurants haha and.... Forgot Coronado... You gotta actually live here to understand and know the vibe and what to do in San Diego.

San Diego is the best beach

What the fuck!!!!! San Diego is so cool!!! amazing
Torrey Pines is close to Blacks Beach, but I prefer it because of its trails that have a great view of the ocean.
Nice...good advice! Which is the best beach to catch a sunset at?
Kona, Hawaii.
Great guide! I would love to check out Ocean Beach's pier someday. I've always enjoyed walking out a long pier and then staring out at the water as well as back toward the shore. Piers provide some great scenery!
Thanks Scotman895! Southern California was quite a few neat piers... you'd enjoy a drive from San Diego to LA visiting the piers! :)

Hi Janet.. of the three. Mission Beach has the least amount of homeless.. but I'd say Coronado is the most family friendly beach in the area
Really enjoyed La Jolla Shores beach even though I dont swim. Black's beach was great at night time but that hike up and down is no joke.
Good exercise for sure!
Beautiful place😍😍
Indeed! :)
Bonjour, I love your San Diego Beach Guide. I am planning a trip to San Diego on November 2019 for my two suns. They love snow boarding and the now want to try surfing. Any suggestion?
La Jolla Shores probably has the best beginner waves
Cardiff and Coronado have the best beaches. The beaches he mentioned in the video are extremely crowded and a younger crowd.

Hi Mel... not much in the way of shade at San Diego beaches. But for families I reccomend either La Jolla shores, or Coronado
Great videos! I'm planning to go there and maybe do some drone flying. Do you have any tips for this? thanks
Perfect
Thanks Love Loveyy!
Most of the natives have left. Made their money in real estate and went to better places.

0:36 Is there actually a separate Blacks video?
I haven't made that one yet! Well.. I did.. but I didn't like the footage. So it never made its way to UA-cam
Do you guys know on which of these beaches I can have my dog running around in the sand without any restrictions?
Only one... Dog Beach at Ocean Beach
Yellow Productions thanks!
hi chris what do you do for living?
Software Development
is that the bench from the show Dexter in La Jolla, dedicated to LT. LaGuerta after Deb kills her?
When is the best time (range of months,) to visit the beaches in San Diego, in term of weather?
July, August, September
@@YellowProductions thanks. No jellyfish to worry about? Are the waters warmer during these months?
He said without further ado.
Where is a good starting point for a bike 🚴 ride? Where can I rent bicycles?
I'd start in Mission Beach at Belmont Park. You can rent bicycles there
@@YellowProductions Is there a bike path from Mission Beach to LaJolla? Thanks!
on the best not a lot travlers and a dog beach at ocean beach and great restaurant the best burger place is close

Come on up to Acadia National Park in Maine and have a swim with me, it’s 55 in August.

OCEAN BEACH 1502 O. B.
