Hazel is a brilliant character. I really do hope to see her return in a future storyline. I’ll miss her iconic “I said to myself, I said Hazel..” phrases.
Hazel is an interesting character, but it's amazing how in many situations it's actually Aaron who turns out to be the most mature and sensible of the two.
Honestly, the perfect end for two characters who hated each other when they first met. Hats off to Pauline Quirke for a phenomenal performance as Hazel.
In 2021, I hope that Hazel returns (even for just a visit) for the 10 year anniversary of Jackson passing. She hasn't seen his grave stone in almost 10 years. She needs to see Aaron and meet Liv and Eve. Aaron needs to talk to her about Robert. And about Gordon (since his abuse was one of the reasons Aaron was unable to initially tell Jackson he loves him).
I just feel sad for Hazel, she's become so lonely that I actually found myself caring for her... Unfortunetely her relationship with Aaron was toxic. I hope she could do better on her on from now on.
Well, it's taken another tumultuous ten years but yes, Aaron has moved on out into that "big wide world out there" just as Hazel said. In the meantime, here we go Aaron, there are some amazing story-lines waiting for you and one amazing love story ahead of you!
