I can tell that you have a competent amp to drive your LS50s, because the drivers are very tight and controlled. I've seen many videos where people play the LS50s loud on weak amps and the LS50 drivers are very sloppy. Maybe that is why there are a bunch of LS50s on eBay with melted drivers. The LS50s need a lot of current to perform right. Some people blame the LS50s for sounding distorted when they turn up the volume, but the fault is caused by their weak amps. Have you listened to the Meta LS50s? I have both and in some ways I like the original better. The original has a bump in the mids and the Meta has a dip in the mids. I wish Kef would have made the Metas mids flat like they did with the R3 Metas.
Yes, I agree...The Kefs need a current-capable amplifier to develop their potential. The Adante as well, almost the same efficiency (85 dB) as the Kefs. I listened to the Meta in the shop once, but it wasn't worth any more to me than the 50th.
