    From the first seconds, the Gee knew he was outmatched. He began to act hurt to waste minutes off of the clock and to get a point deduction. His teacher should be ashamed of him. The red belt was holding back!

      Right and Exact. People think just because I know it I'm supposed to be a gangster or something. I was taught never be arrogant or act tough and bad because there is always someone who know just a little more than you that could hurt you. I'm so humble I forget I know anything about martial arts at times because I'm seeking to fight or hurt anyone.

    I remember being hot headed, and my Sensei found out about it, what a raft I had to take, I could have defended myself, but to many combinations were coming at me, and I knew I was wrong. It’s called humility.

      There isn't a move or motion in martial arts thst can't be countered. A person aware of you rolling can counter that. It's only those unaware who wouldn't know what to do nor how to do it.

    Ju-Jitsu in the UK was definitely very similar to Saunces in the late 80s.
    They tried linking it with this sort of bad TKD/kickboxing and it sort of worked, but never really fit with the Ju-Jitsu mindset.
    Modern MMA, Kudo, or even Kyokushin would provide a much better sparring format for integrating techniques.

    I’d like 2 see grandmasters ground game.

    • @baldieman64
      @baldieman64 Рік тому

      This isn't BJJ. The aim is to destroy the opponent. There are lots of throws that result in breaks or dislocations.
      Ground fighting is absolutely relevant, but it's a support system, rather than a go-to option in the street.
      If you can't avoid conflict, you want to knock the other guy out and go home.
      If that doesn't work, you want to avoid a reciprocal exchange at all costs - smash and leave.
      Only if that doesn't work and the bad guy has good enough wrestling or judo to take you down do you need to be able to fight on the ground, and even then, the aim is to simply get back up, because the chances of getting kicked in the face or stabbed by a bystander are probably higher than the risk from the bad guy.

    Really? Grandmaster needs to realize those are grown men who are your students. They're not just going to let him do anything that he wants to, to them as discipline.

    • @alvingrimes7053
      @alvingrimes7053 5 років тому +1

      I think he realizes it just fine. But he also realizes the need for humility, and submission. The Samurai submitted to their leaders, along with killing their enemies. More men need to be able to submit to something greater than himself. And this isn't about submitting to the GM, its about recognizing that there is a code of conduct around here, and you're gonna adhere to it or there will be consequences. Too bad more young men don't get this. BTW, I trained in Kumite ryu jitsu. You're allowed to defend yourself in that situation...But it ain't pretty..

    • @masterciphersupreme1647

      This is a sparring session, not a real fight. And what teacher wants to hurt their student's? SMH. It's best to be quiet sometimes.
