MY GOD. I was just typing in searching for random pedals and cello and the universe sent me you. simply blown away. You are amazing. Not even religious anymore but you gave me that experience ... so AMEN
i am at a loss for words at this, but let me try, beautiful, incredible, deep, natural, the universe is in this in all of its glory and majesty, thank you thank you thank you for this beautiful, beautiful piece !!!
I've been looking for ivdeos to give me an idea about the Cosmos. Great many of them used synthesizers. Very refreshing to see you perform this with acoustic instruments, which is exactly what I'd find interesting to do myself. Great performance!
In 2019, I myself found music as a balancing element to all the madness taking place in our world, I'm currently looking into the Cosmos and I have to be honest, apart from Matt Johnson Jamiroquai's demo, this is the first presentation that has captivated me. Congratulations. And after watching a few other videos on your channel, I can't help but subscribe.
Thank you so much… really appreciate that you left me a comment and subscribed! The Cosmos is something special. I myself am still learning to use it in interesting ways
@@TheWongJanice Logically, it cannot be quite so simple, as it leaves the familiar terrain, like most of Vlad Kreimer's works. However, you have probably intuitively found a good mixture of softer sounds and rather short, slightly rhythmic parts, so that it has satisfied my usually rather high qualitative demands. I think his latest creation, the Flux, might also be interesting for your work.
Ah yes, there are many settings and modes and also I was thinking of trying the ‘rhythmic’ mode soon (you install it with a USB) as then it works more like a typical looper. I personally don’t ‘get’ how to work with short rhythmical sounds so I am glad my music has satisfied you. Thanks for sharing. I did not know about the Flux!
@@TheWongJanice You're welcome. I hope my assumption that the Flux might suit you, based on the type of music you make, wasn't completely wrong. My guess is, that the arhythmic mode is way better for your ambient style of music. The sentence "You install it with a USB" somehow tells me that your music is better than your knowledge of all these things that are far too complicated anyway and unfortunately often quite pointless. But in case you need help, feel free to ping me, that shouldn't be a problem for me. In return, you can teach me something about cellos.
@@Waldemar_la_Tendresse haha yes fortunately I can play the cello and have spent hours and years on it - can’t say the same about audio tech as it’s a newer part of my craft. But yes, I might not have used the correct wording but I am nonetheless happy that I understand the concept of changing the firmware with the flash drive if needed! Thank you for the offer to help in exchange for cello knowledge. I’ll keep it in mind. Cheers

I was so excited when I got this notification a few days ago. I really needed it however life has been so hectic that I didn't get to listen until last night. It's nothing short of tragedy that too often we put off the beautiful things while we tend to that which is hurting, both literally and figuratively. Your work has not only soothed me, it has opened my eyes to a priceless lesson. From the bottom of my heart thank you
Dear Juan, thank you so much for comment; even through whatever you are going through you still manage to share your experience and your appreciation, so thank you. Glad to know it has soothed you and also given you a lesson. Since releasing this video I’ve been playing more with this new piece of gear and can’t wait to share these new musical works. Take care
Heya Neil, ahh thank you for your comment!! I have a few newer tracks made with the SOMA Cosmos on my profile, feel free to check them out :) (they are titled Cosmic Meditation Series)
Oh nice! If you have questions about the cosmos I will be happy to answer them. Otherwise, thanks for stopping by my channel and all the best with your music making :)
Spacey, airy, and a total delight! Watching as it was performed was truly inspirational! It brings to my mind the ambiance of the Blade Runner movies in all of their glory! Just marvelous, my dear!
Hello metaspherz, thanks for watching my video and leaving me such a nice comment! Loved that you referenced Blade Runner. I’ve been indeed thinking that this piece is a little sci-fi :)
Wonderfull! May i ask how you connect 3 different electonic instruments into the Soma or do you have a device between the instruments and the Soma? Thank you for this very relaxing experience
Hi David, I use one microphone for all instruments and plug it into a pre-amp (Eventide Mixing Link) which you can find below in the description of the video - see my signal chain. I hope this helps!
awesome..........you'll also likely be interested in experimenting with some of the alternate firmware for the Cosmos.....I'd highly recommend the Rhythmic version (I've uploaded many Cosmos videos on my channel, if you're interested) .......Love this super minimal approach here..............And I'm into the Koshi chimes as well.......such a great sonic texture
Hi Will! So nice you found my video. I am new to Cosmos and have come across your videos while doing some research; very inspiring and magical sounds! You seem to be very enthusiastic about the Cosmos. Could we chat more about it? Please send me an email (check my profile or website) or perhaps through Instagram if you use it? Cheers!
