I liked this. You have perhaps the nicest looking lego city of any I've seen. The ONE thing I would change, is that I think your streets are too detailed. I'd make them a lot more monochromatic. When absolutely everything has high detail like in your city, the eyes and brain never really get a break. It's a bit overwhelming. Hard to know where to look. When you have some sections of low detail, and some with high detail, the high detail stuff stands out a lot more. And the eye knows where to look and the scene is overall more dynamic and interesting. My 2 cents.
Thanks! Yeah I know what you mean about trying to break things up but at this point I'm so invested in the part usage throughout the city that it would be a massive undertaking to go back and switch up so I'll probably leave it as is lol.
Terrific MOC overview vid, John!! Love the various part usage ideas! I especially like the thought of using microphone pieces for finial architectural detail. I’ve seen clamshell pieces used for bathroom lavs, but using them for window awnings is terrific! Looking forward to more of these MOC overviews as you record and produce them! Cheers from San Francisco! 🍷
you are a genius, im from italy and you just replicate perfectly the italian style
Ah thank you! That is the best kind of compliment I could receive! What part of Italy are you from? I'm from Pietrasanta.
