yesss you picked up on the balming tiger vibes he worked very closely with balming tiger’s creative director for this album!! i personally LOVE the entire team of people he’s been surrounding himself with they all make such interesting and experimental music it’s like nothing i’ve ever heard before and i was seriously dying of excitement when i first saw that his music was going in a similar direction like i still can’t believe it. i thought not many armys who like them for their pop music would “get” this but the response has been really positive and i’m loving how he’s introducing a lot more people to new genres and helping them open their minds to new and fresh stuff like this! i really really hope he continues in this direction his taste in art and music is insane and years ahead of our time, i also hope that we can see some of this new style in bts’s ot7 music in the future!! fingers crossedddd bc this is my absolute favorite piece of solo work any member has released by a long shot
Rarely do you get established artists willing to push boundaries so creatively and honestly. Normally that is the purview of young artists with nothing to lose. RM never repeats himself each project is different from the last as he explores music with an honesty and creative musical sensibility that will ensure this album like Indigo is going to feature in the collection of every serious music collector. Musicians and artists are going to find this very exciting and influential. I am so happy. Hes done it again. Totally different its still going to be as addictive listening as INDIGO. Though having listened to CHANGE this seems a natural musical thought progression.

Namjoon is soo unique. He is a true artist and brave to experiment with diffirent genre of music. I love all his songs including his mixtapes
I love when artists get out of they confort zone and bring something new. I think this is important and just a few do this today especially today in kpop!! 😌 RM is not doing songs for streams if you expect this better change your mind.

I think the no captions in the beginning was intentional. I think it was supposed to make us feel like how it's like in someone else's shoes who doesn't speak that language or is multilingual. Like how it is to be in other places and not able to understand the person speaking to you. For example, BTS when they were getting big and were traveling around being interviewed, especially in the US, being interviewed by people in English and that's not your first language not being able to understand them and the pressure it was for RM as a leader to be the only one speaking in English and being the translator. Also, the interviewer's dead pan expressions and hyper enthusiasm show how people can be fake or how we have to show an emotion or expression at times when we are not necessarily feeling that way because we or you are expected to.
The MV and song are nuts. I love it! If you have seen the show Severance it gives me that kind of vibe. But this is in Namjoon's brain. All those people are like his personalities, his thoughts and emotions. Different parts of himself. As you can see they are all wearing RM name tags. But he's struggling inside and it's like the one who comes out who has to climb and leave all his other "hims" behind is the version he has to show to the world. He leaves parts of himself inside and only shows us one side of himself cus he felt like that's what he had to do at that time.That's why he feels lost or he did feel lost.
