The things that keep me watching your channel are the variety of guitars and companies that are not every day house hold names and that you always play something musical. Some people just play as fast as possible and I don't care for it because it lacks the proper note choices. Sounds great!

Wow! I'm liking this more than the previous model. It seems to have more of a true telecaster twangy sound which I love. This would be a great guitar for country and blues. I hope they get some back in stock soon. I enjoy your playing style always Jimmy.

Not bad! Obviously nothing fancy… Just a REALLY good, solid, well-built, totally traditional Telecaster with a professional setup… The last part is something not even Monoprice offers with their guitars-at least, not to your specs, anyway! AND they ship to our friends in Canada!?!? Not bad at all!!! That silver burst finish is really nice, too! The weight of this one sounds just a little bit heavy for my liking, but not a dealbreaker by any means, and obviously NOT unusual for a Tele made out of Ash or Basswood, and still not as heavy as some Les Pauls. Odin once again seems to be a king, claiming that guitar as his, while looking up at that Stewart’s Billiards light above him! And he even gets a code named after him… I bet he feels REALLY special now! 😁
Hi PG…thanks as always for stopping in and sharing your thoughts! Exactly right…a very affordable, well done traditional Tele in a not so usual “Silverburst” finish. Yes, this was about 1/2 pound heavier than the SBH but not crazy heavy…great neck and pups…setup was spot on!
Mr. Odin already has a “large head” and now he’s proudly sporting a planet on this shoulders…😻

When you said it had two fifty ohm pots I initially thought you meant both pots were fifty ohms until I cottoned on that you meant 250 ohms!

Greetings Chief! It's NGD here at my house after a bit of a delay in shipping, my new FFVX in Honey Burst arrived. It's gorgeous. If I had one complaint just from taking it out of the box is that there are no holes drilled for the pickguard.
Hey there…Congrats Snarky!! Enjoy it my friend…Just as a side note, if FF ships a guitar without the pickguard already mounted, then there will not be any holes for it pre-drilled. Just the way they have always done them. Pretty easy to mount should you decide to go with it. Congrats once again and enjoy N.G.D!! 🎸👍

I got a message from them last night that my refund had been issued on the FFSP, but when I went to check my CC balance on the card I used to purchase it, no refund had hit yet. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that it will take a day or so for the refund to actually reflect on my CC.
As for the guitar itself, it is a magnificent beast. Sorry to have hijacked your Tease promo with my stuff, but I wanted to share the news with you. Man, that guitar is a banger too! I tuned it up, and started with the opening notes of Aqualung, and boy did that bass boom! Had to roll the volume down a bit. At the rate I've been playing Aqualung lately, I'm sure my lady Janie will soon tire of hearing one of her favorite songs
Another toy I just purchased was an Ibanez Tube Screamer with a NuTube chip in it. It came highly recommended from Phillip over at the 40watt podcast. He said it's the best one he's ever owned. I trust him, and he's a far better player than myself so I went ahead, and ordered one off of Reverb to replace the generic Behringer TS that I've had for a few years. Considering I also have a Summer School Electronics Science Fair pedal, which is a TS & Rat in one pedal where you can control the mix, I'm keeping the department of redundancy department quite busy....

@@JimmyStewart1 The credit finally appeared. Yay! As an aside, I'm not sure I'm all that thrilled with the pups in that FFVX. It could be that the strings are old, so I'm going to attack that first with some Stringjoy Orbiters w/enamel coating. If that doesn't solve the issue, I'll then move on to some new pups. Cheap fix first, then on to something a little more costly. Who knows how long those strings have been sitting in a warehouse ya know?

New strings are a must before doing anything else…then you can tell where you are at with setup/intonation, pup heights etc…etc…
Hey Chief, any comments on a freaking $1800 Epiphone Firebird? Personally I think they are out of their minds when you can buy a new one for about $600. I don't think having Gibson pups in it washes away the sin of a $1k upcharge, and it doesn't even have a rosewood fretboard. At that price one might as well drop that money on a used Gibson Firebird.
Went to a pawnshop last week to see what they had, and I came across a Gibson SG for only $699! I thought wow, I'm buying this right now until I looked a bit closer, it was for a lefty! Another thing I noticed is that every single Gibson I picked up would cut your hand like a Ginsu knife if you let it slide down the neck. FF has me spoiled with those ball end SS frets.
The only reason I could think of for such bad fretwork would be it being in a pawnshop, they probably are quite susceptible to wood shrinkage causing the fret ends to poke up. I swear with a bit of patience one could probably open up a can of tuna with those fret ends....
Epiphone pricing has gone astronomical in the past number of years. I have a few from the mid 90’s to early 2000’s but have not bought one since…way too much $$ for what they are putting out…proper humidity is a must for any guitar (especially acoustics) and as you are aware, most pawn shops simply do not have that.
I like it Jimmy, sounds very good to me. I just may try one. I just received a gretsh 2215 from adorama for 199$ brand new shipped from a warehouse. Another great budget guitar too. I couldnt pass it up for that price. I really like it. Thanks for another great video brother.

Hey Jimmy sorry to bother you, but I was able to find this tease guitar on their site at a great price. I'm so excited, even though the wife doesn't understand why I need(want lol) another guitar. I have a question about what you spect out for your setup. The 1.50 and 1.25. What's the usual setting on setup for a telecaster like this. They will do the pro setup for $40 but could I get by without it using the standard one they do? Thanks so much.

It really depends on how you prefer your action set honestly. Around 1.50 on the low E to around 1.25 on the high E is where I like my guitars. I would think you would get pretty close to this with a standard factory setup. Anything under 2.0 is quite playable in my opinion and you could always give it a tweak yourself should it need it.
Jimmy, does the pro setup include fret leveling? Sweet sounding, without the ice pick bridge.

I really love how you play
I’m teaching myself how to solo and play the blues from some books and on line resources. I am in the process of memorizing the pentatonics and for the first time at understanding how they fit across the fretboard and how they can be both major or minor depending on how you look at them (pointer vs pinky) and trying to play with backing tracks
Any advice would be much appreciated and you have a new subscriber here !

I have a number of videos here on the channel which may help you along with some pointers and tips (though I don’t claim to be a guitar teacher) I have stayed at a Holiday Inn once or twice…😎… Seriously though, my “quick” advice is to “keep pickin’” and think “feel” vs technique. Hear the notes in your head, then figure out the feel and timing of them as you play…I learned by watching/listening mostly…everyone I could back in the day…no internet or UA-cam back then…

Hi Bobby…thanks for stopping in. You do know I have a number of “real deal” Fenders as you call them, right? American and Custom Shops…yes, they are nice. However, and being totally honest here, I would not hesitate to pick up this Tease for any studio/live work that I would normally use my American Tele for. It’s all good man. For some folks, sometimes it just hard to convince them that a sub $200 guitar can actually stand up to their predetermined belief that a “real Tele” has to say Fender on the headstock. I have been there….done that…Today’s “budget” guitar market is a totally different ball game. I try to show what I am finding that not only costs way less, but performs way above what the price point would lead you to believe.
Hi Jimmy. About the word "Amazon", the LyxPro stratocasters there, look very nice to me. Something else. I wonder if the Tease guitar guy takes photographs using black and white film. (It's just my joke. 🥲)
Hi Dan….ok I gotcha. The Lyxpro’s are pretty decent for what they are. I bought one of their Tele’s a couple years ago…neck is pretty good, pickups leave a bit to be desired. Can’t vouch for the Strats…Tease also has some very nice Strats…I think the ST-1’s are ceramic pups and the ST2’s are Alnico 5’s. Basswood bodies vs Paulownia with great necks and playability. Don’t get the photo joke…🤔

About the LyxPro stratocasters, I said they "look" nice to me. I think the vast majority of electric guitars are sold because of a combination of appearance and price. Concerning appearance, the bodies of electric guitars "could" all be flat black, but they are not. Most likely there is a reason for that. 🥲 (No offense. 🙂)
