Cheers to you sweetie for being you! We love every rant and snarky comment, we love you even more for how sensitive you are.
Don't let others get you down, they can always "change the station right"!?
I'm looking for Mr. rude Bi-polar man who has "stalked" you for 8 years and give him a piece of my mind (I have a big head)
You are so refreshing and most entertaining, keep up the excellent work!
Sending you a big hug! ❤

Sarah, just to let you know that we have another singing road here in the Antelope Valley. After actor and local resident R. Lee Ermey sadly pass 6 years ago, the city of Palmdale honored him by renaming a portion of west Avenue N "R. Lee Ermey Avenue". They also made a portion of this avenue a singing road. It plays the Marine Corps Hymn in his honor, since Lee was a Marine and Vietnam veteran.

The first musical road in USA was built in Lancaster. It’s now West Avenue G, after being moved from original location. Plays William Tell Overture, Lone Ranger theme. Created for a 2008 Honda Civic commercial. Fun to drive on as I did a few years ago.

Husband speaking age 81 reminds me of my trip out of Ariz. on my way home from the Air Force, 1967 age 24. I stoped at one of
those little gotcha stands. There was a very old Indian sitting on the ground doing a very beautiful sand painting. I asked the clerk behind
the counter if I could take a picture, leave a tip in the bowl, dropped my buck, took one picture out of my 12 picture roll and was on my way.

In 67 I was stationed at Kirkland AFB NM and I was driving along with friends on a mesa and I decided to stop and walk into a adobe. Indians were sitting on the floor eating when I walked in. I was intruding but dumb enough to do what I did. Whew!

Sarah, thanks for a trip down memory lane. My dad was born in a coal mining town in northeastern New Mexico over a hundred years ago. I have fond memories of summer road trips from California back to Texas along old Route 66. We would attend family reunions and rodeos around the Texas Panhandle back in the 50's and 60's. We also had family and friends to visit in Arizona and New Mexico along the way. I sometimes think that most of us who live here take the southwestern U.S.A. for granted. It's amazing to see the reaction from tourists from Europe or the U.K. seeing this part of our country for the very first time.
Have you ever met Elley from the "Elley Knows Rocks" UA-cam channel? It would be great to see you guys plan a rockhounding trip and do an episode together. I think that you would hit it off great.

Over 30 years ago, after my father had passed away, I was flying on a business trip and was sitting next to a lady from Albuquerque. We started talking. I mentioned that father was born in a mining town in New Mexico that no longer exists. She asked me if the town was Dawson, because she was the last baby born at the Dawson hospital before it was closed in the early '50's. I said yes and that my dad's family moved there from Arkansas in 1907 and moved to Trinidad, CO in 1929, because my grandfather worked for the railroad. She asked me if any of my family had ever attended any of the Dawson reunions over the past years. She gave me the name of a person to contact in Cimarron and I attended in 1990. I am planning on going this year.

I was stationed in new mexico in the Air force for 5 years. Stationed in Clovis there wasnt a lot going on there. They were kind of stuck in the 50's there so had to find a way to entertain myself. I have always been a history guy and I had a jeep Wrangler and literally criss crossed that state up and down and found it to be just as they say, "Enchanting". So much history and so many hidden treasures. To someone who has never been it has a reputation of being a wasteland but really its a beautiful state. Explore south to north along I25 up through the lincoln forrest. Its magical.

I’m glad I got to see the Blue Hole. How great having it to yourself. In the fall 2022, my husband and I did a road trip through 7 different states, hiking, visiting friends, family and other random things. The Blue Hole was on our list, but we got there too late and had to be in Albuquerque the next morning. We could only find one restaurant for dinner in Santa Rosa, NM that wasn’t a drive thru. It was cute and had an art gift shop but the food was bordering on bad. I wish we could have gone. It looks really fun!

I could hear it, and yes it was very cool. I totally agree with you on the I-40 thing, there is really isn't much in the way of anything except bushes, between Flag and the Grand Canyon, unless you go east a little bit. You got Sunset Crater, Snowbowl, Wupatki, there's a lava field, I believe Meteor Crater is close to I-40 I think. So AZ does have some interesting points unfortunately it's all east. How a SENOTE is formed, the underground chamber is full of water, usually from an underground river or aquafer, eroding the limestone, over time as the water goes down there is nothing supporting the limestone basically and the roof collapses, leaving a hole, over time the rains fill the hole with water. If I miss my guess Montezuma Well is a SENOTE'. Your videos are always cool Sarah

Wonderhussy, good to see you traveling on the old Rt. 66 east of Alubquerque, NM. There was a time sometime back when I was a Greyhound bus driver that took that trip from Alq. to Amarillo, TX on Route 66. Interesting to see the 'landscape" hasn't changed much!

That would be a great swimming hole in the Summer I bet it’s super popular when it’s hot. We have a couple of blue holes in Florida in the springs. We also have devils den a popular attraction

In 1960 our family drove from Los Angeles to the east coast. In Arizona, there were billboards along the road about every two miles saying to "Stop at Chief Yellowhorse" (Similar to those for "The Thing" and "Jack Rabbit Trading Post" today.) And so we did.

Back in the day , while living in Barstow Ca, I remember Chief Yellowhorse advertising “ Cave Buffalo” we would stop there on our way to visit family and friends in Conway Arkansas. Road trips are the best. Another memorable site is the “STINKY COWS” cattle pen right before you get into Amarillo Tx

Yeah, I've driven by it on I-40 enough times to know to switch the AC to "'recirculate" just before I get there.

Hi Sara, all the years I drove thru New Mexico I remember there being so many cool looking abandoned houses and businesses. It was always my favorite part of NM. Fun trip with you on route 66

Have to tell you about one of MY favorite places in New Mexico …. You should see the “Gila Wilderness Area” in southern part ….. extending into Arizona… I read about a hot spring on the western part…. Beautiful area, and deceptive as it seems hidden by the desert around it, then you drop into the “Wilderness”, full of giant trees, and the spring fed “Gila River”…. AND, there are Cliff dwellings !!

What an enchanting video that was! Glad you found some stuff to look at on the way to Arkansas, and hope you find more to explore along the way heading back home along 66, unless you are in a big hurry.

I remember the one road you went on a few years back, I could hear this one too. Very cool video Sarah, will put it on my list to go see on my trip down R66. My 55 Chevy will be ready to go in a few years and going the whole way but not to Chicago, not even take a 💩.😂
