I live in the Appalachian mountains. About a 1 month ago, I got this strong feeling that I really needed to get a 4 wheel truck. I couldn't afford to buy anything new or really afford to get another vehicle. The feeling get kept stronger, so I took money out of my emergency fund and found a beater truck. Whatever source/energy/ entity that told me to get a truck was right. I now have the ability to go off road as needed. With this last storm, I still was able to get to town to get supplies and to go to work.
Dont be fooled, there are more pagans than you realize in these hollars. We are very connected to the earth. I live next door to the "witch in the hollar" and i would trust my life to her. Dont believe everything you read...even the bible condradicts itself. Witches were burned because they threatened the teaching of Christianity, yet my personal experience has been witches are about LOVE and HEALING. Killing them in the name of Jesus? Who is all about "love and healing"? 🤔 There is something sour in the soup people...
I have lived in E TN my whole life and Tennesseans have never asked for handouts. We have people out in force to help our neighbors. We might be poor but we are survivors. They don’t call us the Volunteer State for nothing!
Proud NE Tn Volunteer here living on this mighty river and the impacted area and I say ditto. I haven’t heard one person whine about where is the government. Greeneville has nearly repaired the water treatment plan and here it is day 5! We are river strong m!
I still won't forget a storm we had awhile back knocked down some trees over the road. I think every chainsaw owner in a square mile showed up and we had all the trees cleared in half an hour. Moments like that are what makes me proud to call TN home.
It’s the same here in WV… They help each other in times of need… and I know they are gathering supplies to take down to these people that need help.. and people are going down to help… That’s what True America is about..

I'm in Greene county and we are out of water. The whole county is. I've built an outdoor showers. Its completely enclosed so the women are comfortable. Has a changing bench, place to put your things. The water is heated by the sun. Its warm. The water does have to be pumped up to a tank and then gravity does the rest. Most of the people I know and some I don't have used it. I am proud of my county. We come together and we are there for each other in times of need. Also, the truck stops at exit 36 offer showers to Greene county residents. Some are free. Others are $5. Country people will survive.
That is so nice, you’re a genius! I was wondering how people were cleaning up. You gotta bathe, it can lead to infection in some cases if you don’t. Plus, the mud. I think you’re wonderful!
You’re a true hero, to your community and those in need. Sometimes just a shower, is the biggest gift. Being clean and able to refresh and start a new. You’re an angel helping so many. Thank you
This should be America . Unfortunately there are a metric ton of communities who would not help eachother on the other side of the country which is so sad.
I live in E TN. We definitely are not waiting on the gov to step in. We are taking care of this together - as a community. The husband & I have been running supplies as well & doing whatever else we can to help.
here in Florida DeSantis knew biden would not help us. So DeSantis mobilized every state guard. Now we are all housed in Florida.. all good. Our pets are safe. Trump sent water, Italy sent food.. FEMA is still not in TN!! not in GA !!! not in FL,

I'm across the mountains in Tennessee. I'm old and poor, but have been praying for my neighbors a bit north and east of me. Mountain people are a different bread. Loving, kind, self sufficient and caring. God bless all who are helping.
I love how at 11:37 you say "I guess you can call them rednecks" as a SUV passes you with a truck bed hitched to the back of it LOL I grew up in stinking creek Tennessee and hearing everyone's accents that were giving you directions put me right at home. Thank you for this video and your donation
I live in Florida, but spent a week in the Asheville, Hendersonville, Waynesville area. These are such kind people, I’m quite sad they were devastated by this freak storm. Everyone should help out in any way they can. We take care of our own 🇺🇸
Have to admit I'm impressed by the cleanup in Newport, TN. The whole downtown was covered by silt & mud Sunday night & by Tuesday morning you wouldn't have known it by the streets! A few businesses & parking lots still have some cleanup to do, but the roads are clean.
As I said about my daughter who lost everything in Katrina - "she didn't have a pot to piss in and now she doesn't have a window to throw it out of". Yes, Tennessians are tough people - no doubt they will figure all of this out on their own without help from the gov't.
These are the backbone of the country. Most of them are the generations through time the country started. The working class they make it happen. God Bless them.¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏
These people know how to do things. They are a community. There is nothing wrong with admitting that a man has 4 to 10 times the muscle strength of a woman and acting accordingly. We women can get things done, but too slowly in a crisis. The men step in and lend their strength. We keep them going. No problem, it works. So glad you were able to go in and help.
It's one of the reasons why I love living in Northeast Tennessee. The people are the best. Here in Carter County, we had a location designated for people to pick up supplies. More people showed up to volunteer to help than showed up needing food and water.
@pamhunt392 Thank you, but my area seems to get getting the supplies it needs. Elizabethton today, I believe, got everyone's water back on, and some water was taken from here to Ashville.
I volunteered in Appalachia with CAP. Eastern Kentucky and W Virginia. Wow. Those people survive, live through hell, and keep walking. They are amazing people. And don't want to be bothered with the outside world. And the land, the beauty, the creeks, get under your skin. A very formidable experience in my life from where I live in Palm Beach Florida ( Born in Ohio). God Bless All.🙏🙏🙏🙏
The current administration has deployed over 5000 soldiers. Every base in the area are manned as staging locations. FEMA was alerted before the storms and emergencies were put in place except for Tennesee who declared it a day of prayer and fasting. DOT is working as hard as they can and all the power guys are busting their butts. Stop making this political. I live in Fl and we have always been prepared. It take days to get power back as the crews have to be safe. Trees are removed, roads made passable and then they can fix the power. We know the drill here.
@@user-ch9if6px6r after 26 trucks of water and 14 trucks of food, biden said that no more help will be deployed to the affected areas (in 5 different states!). @user-ch9if6px6r Stop telling these people you "know the drill." This hurricane was twice the size of Katrina. Until Florida has seen a 40 trillion gallon deluge or mudslides hurtling down mountainsides to crush everything in their paths, you can get some humility. And plenty of people from these areas have come on social media to say they haven't seen one sign of the government a week into this disaster. Biden just said on video that his admin has given all the money it's going to. AFTER shoveling another billion to Zelensky. Mayorkas just said they're running out of money for disaster relief. That's because this traitor regime has bankrupted this country on illegals and Ukraine. OF COURSE we don't have any left for our own people. Priorities!
God's work? Wasn't it God, who allowed this disaster to begin with? After all He declares: "Anything and everything can happen ONLY after My approval."
remember the song.. "a country boy can survive" tough as nails. i'm a country girl born & raised.. city folks have no clue what country life is like. surviving on deer meat, rabbit, squirrel, pheasants.. growing you own food.. that was my life growing up in a family of 11. we don't depend on others.. these folks can fend for themselves.. they have more pride & guts & know how.. then you'd ever realize.. 👍 love you guys.. stay strong. 🇺🇸🩵🪶🦅
Breaks my Hillbilly heart to see this footage, born and raised in the hills of East TN, my folks now live further west from most of the damage so I'm thankful for that. What's amazing to think about is as wonderful as our TVA and Army Corp of Engineers dam system is, this was just more water than could be imagined. I reckon without those dams, K-town and the TN valley would have been in trouble too.
I've lived here my entire life and we're self-sufficient. Thanks for helping out. A point of clarification...the government is here and has been here. We appreciate ALL the help!
I'm in Greene county, TN and I KNOW what my people are capable of because we've ALWAYS been self sufficient!! The gubment came to Appalachia decades ago to "help". What are the 9 scariest words ever?? "We're from the government and we're here to help"!!! No thanks we'll take care of our own. God be with ALL these people in their time of need!! Don't give up brothers and sisters... you'll repair and replace a little at a time!!
Yeah, right. You won't take a nickel to rebuild the water systems, schools, roads, hospitals, parks, and jails, let alone housing. I will be happy to get a refund, since you won't take any government help. And that help comes from people like me, your fellow. Citizens who want to help.
I used to live in Greeneville, TN...Back in the 80's!!! I do remember some gulley washer storms we had!!! All the rain off the mountains gets funneled down into the valleys....RAPIDLY!!!
Born in SW Virginia and raised in east TN. I was sad to see the devastation for the people living on the Pigeon and French Broad Rivers as the rivers rose over 20 feet. Several people lost entire homes. I just got back from going to see family. People helping people is how we live. Please do not feel like you cannot place a claim with FEMA and gov't programs to see what you can get for assistance. Just be patient as the money is funded over years and not all at once. I promise that they're NOT going to take your property in order to help you! If you can't comprehend what you're reading before signing something then get another pair of eyes on it, but don't put off help out of unfounded fear.
Good work my man! I'm a store manager for Ingles. Which is a major grocery store chain for the NC,SC,TN,and Ga region. Our one and only warehouse that supplied 204 stores located near Asheville NC was severely damaged and cut off from the communities that it supplies. This region will take years to recover. I don't think people realize the level of disaster this hurricane left in its wake. It's on the scale of Katrina, if not worse.
I used to do contract work for the corporate office and I was wondering how the distribution center faired. In WNC, Ingles is where most locals shop for groceries and they employ so many people.
Here in Burnsville NC we got amazing help from the government, individuals, companies, power companies, religious organizations. We are AMERICANS ok. It's ok to cry. We are blessed.

This tough to watch... I lost everything in floods in 2010 in QLD Australia... it is not just the smell and stuff you just can't clean or keep... but it is a few weeks later when it hits you... esp. if you are displaced from your home, or pets are missing... the govt. and insurers don't seem to care... Economically, it set me back and have still not recovered. I am thinking of all those caught up in this... Great work Joker, we need to look after each other, because good people always do... I’ve lived here now for 2 years in Eastern Tennessee. These People are incredibly nice and down to earth- I love this part of the country. Like yourself , been all over. Dad was military before I joined…. Eastern Tennessee is by far the greatest place I have ever lived.
God bless you and each of your followers that donated or wanted to contribute but couldn't afford to in these harder times, this is such a blessing to the people who truly need it and thank you for taking the time to make the video as well 🙏
I’m clear across the country in a tiny mountain town in the coastal mountains of Humboldt county , over 20 years we have faced wildfires , floods, the snowpocalyps where all the trees snapped and fell and trapped us in ,rockslides that trap us every year and weeks without power , and as I sit here day after day and watch the heartbreaking videos and see entire towns lost my eyes just won’t stop leakin for y’all , your town could be my town , your people are just like our community you stand together no matter what and absolutely nothing matters above each other , no matter what you are taking care of business ! This is how this country got built and I know you’ll build back , so many prayers from one small town to dozens of yours 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Joker, you deserve credit not only for your kindness and generosity but also for shedding light on the people who are working so hard to put their communities back together. When the crap hits the fan it's not about politics or ideologies, it's about pitching in and helping you neighbors. The Constitution starts out with 'We the people' not we the politicians, CEO's, or billionaires.
@thedragonsfoot4565 - Unfortunately the lefties are cheering about this. I’ve seen tiktok videos being played on UA-cam where they are cheering that all the “racists who live in sundown towns” were hit by the flood.
It's true, Tennessee Hillbillies have always been known for their resilience and toughness. Even when the government is missing, these communities come together, roll up their sleeves, and get the job done. It's a testament to their strength, unity, and self-reliance in tough times
Not necessarily today's America, maybe what our America used to be! ABSOLUTELY THE SOUTH...YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND TOMORROW!!! THIS IS HOW WE ROLL IN THE SOUTH!!!!
I’m in Mitchell county, NC mountains or what’s left of it and it’s truly we the people helping we the people here! Govt aid is a joke, it’s the locals and great people from here and states away doing anything and everything they can to help that is the reason we are surviving! FEMA came into a nearby community, Erwin TN and tried to stop all aid , donations, help of any kind from operating! We are survivors here , toughened by centuries of mountain life and it’s God, our communities and neighbors from all over the US we know will get us through
As a former Tennessesan living in CA, I can farther confirm what you're saying about the state- there's reason it's called "The Volunteer State." & outside of Nashville & Shelby County (where Memphis is located) this is very true about my home state. Parts of not only Eastern TN, but parts of other states like South Carolina have been hit badly by this storm as well. Godspeed on recovery for all.
Loads of Prayers are going their way too. GOD loves his mountain folk and will get them thru all of this!! We've got truck loads traveling from Roxboro, NC coming their way!! We love each one of you!! ❤
I wouldn't know how bad it really was without his videos. The news only has the same 5 photos and you don't get an idea that this is spread out so far and wide.
Because the government is NOT LOCAL and it takes time to mobilize to get there--expecting immediate response is unreasonable. The strength of this storm was unexpected.
Thank you for actually DOING something , and not just being a looky-loo. You're doing things for people that folks like me wish they could, but can't. God bless you!!
My brother is from the Newport area. I am about 1.5 hours west…on the plateau. We got lucky. His area did not. He lost a friend who was rescuing families. The area is blessed by people like you! I’m a retired parole officer. Born and bred here. Scots Irish and Cherokee. These people are rough as pine knots. It hurts to see people on social media celebrating “the death of racists” when they’ve never even been to this area. You wouldn’t see racism. You’d see humanity …..struggling, but working without those who condemn them in the midst. May sound silly, but most these people would lose their life for others…or any color or creed. Many did. Boone McCready did. You need to talk to my brother. He has done some videos about the damage. @TennHuhtFarmGuy.

My heart is just broken for these people. They didn’t deserve this but it sure does show the world how people truly can love one another and come together for the good of humanity when all hell breaks loose. You don’t need anyone but eachother. Mad respect for you all who were affected by this. You truly are the heroes! ❤
We had a flooding in Germany a couple of years ago. I recall that it was raining like crazy for several days without a break, and suddenly all the water from the surrounding hills flooded our little village in the valley. When I woke up in the middle of the night, I heard a strange rushing sound from outside. The main street had turned into a river. We got lucky, but my cousin lost everything he inherited from his dad. Including a custom-made Corvette Callaway. (Custom leather seats and wooden interior)
The amount of water needed to move a house off its base, in such a wide fairly open area, it's impossible for me to imagine. How long did they experience a torrential downpour? Or did it just rise up of nearby creek tributaries? I imagine if there were any farm animals they got washed away, but where to? Jesus. Thank you for filming. I'm in NJ and it hurts to see so many homes lost and so many lives literally wiped off the map. I'm grateful for every video someone posts showing they're helping or just filming the destruction and showing how much the roads have been cleared to the best of everyone's ability to gain access to everyone who clearly is in need of essentials. It helps with the heartache to know the people are working together and no one is really alone out there. Thank you for that.
We are just country folks trying to survive and not waiting fpr the governemnt to figure out how much they can make off of the disaster. Greetings from Greeneville County. We are on a little higher ground about 2 miles from where the Kisner Bridge use to be. We are just without running water currently. We have gotten some water and are safe. Keep doing what you do for the ones who really need it. We ourselves are just dealing with a small inconvience unlike others. The ones hit the hardest are the ones we need to focus on for now.

You don’t need anyone but eachother. Mad respect for you all who were affected by this. You truly are the heroes! ❤
Love seeing the community come together and helping. If I wasn’t three thousand miles away I would be right there with them helping. God bless.
Oh wow. Corvette Callaway - So nice.
That's something you don't wish on your enemies. Ouch!
Team work makes the dream work. Great job.
Wow!!!
You are a good man with a big heart.
Thank you for helping. It warms my heart to see everyone coming together to help❤
You're a good man Joker!
Tennessee strong 💪
We are just country folks trying to survive and not waiting fpr the governemnt to figure out how much they can make off of the disaster. Greetings from Greeneville County. We are on a little higher ground about 2 miles from where the Kisner Bridge use to be. We are just without running water currently. We have gotten some water and are safe. Keep doing what you do for the ones who really need it. We ourselves are just dealing with a small inconvience unlike others. The ones hit the hardest are the ones we need to focus on for now. We will make it TN! Stay strong and safe!
The Ya’ll Squad has been taking in donations and buying basics and more. Ryan Hall Ya’ll UA-cam channel are local crew like you gettin’ it done. Amen brother.
I am 68 years old born and raised in East Tennessee. specifically Greene county. the people of the Appalachians are a resilient bunch. they will bounce back irregardless of where they get help from the government or not. this is a perfect opportunity for us to set an example how people coming together can solve major issues without any government help. thank you to each American that chooses to give to the cause to help these wonderful people.
What wonderful people you all are. Just like our Afrikaner farmers and strong community families here in south africa. We always make a plan when the going is tough. Thank you, much love and prayers from Cape Town.
