Hey Jerry, after getting some clipping do you use the output knob to then raise the volume to achieve some more loudness or do you leave that up to a limiter after?
No I usually use clipping to lower the peak level while maintaining perceived loudness so I wouldn’t want to bring it back up as that would increase the perceived loudness making it louder than where I originally had it set at in the mix.

This is referring to clipping the kick and snare or drum bus.
