OH yeah! Some of these cars were doing a 9 second quarter mile at 145 MPH!
One of the nitromethane funny cars hit 258 MPH!
I love watching these, that looks like such a great time! That white '63 Dodge early on looked like it really took off, I've always really liked that body style too! The wagon after it was really cool too, those B Body Dodges and Plymouths could really dominate a quarter mile, lots of power and the best traction! Thank you for these!

I wish I would have gotten more of the racing! I do have a few more that I will post on Fridays.
The old Mopar stuff is really fast on the strip. Some of these were in the 9 second range at 140 MPH!
The nitromethane funny cars were in the 5 second range with the fastest one I saw at 258mph!
I recorded a nitro funny car and it was so loud it distorted the picture! You can see the sound waves, everything bent! I think it was almost breaking the time/space barrier! Haha
