They need to be released. It's ok to give leniency for crimes of passion but not systematic child abuse. 34 years is far too long. The parents were THE MONSTERS.
Great song, hadn't heard it for many years until I watched the Netflix series.Incredible scene near the end as this song played in the background and the brothers were taken on different paths.
This song is now stuck to these two brothers. If this happened in this age, think those boys would have been seen in a different light. Bless their souls
What a heartbreaking moment to see them being separated...the Menendez brothers atleast deserve to be released now 30 odd yrs are too long...they deserve a second chance at life gr the years they have left
@RenegadeGunn alright, but what if they were two poor kids who killed their parents? would that make a difference to you? or what if their names were erika and lyla? surely that would make a big difference. let me tell you something. no matter someone’s gender, no matter if they are wealthy or not, it’s abuse. they were abused since the beginning. physically and mentally. they adored their parents, but they were afraid that night. they thought their parents were going to kill them that night. new evidence, the letter from andy, ‘the abuse is getting worse’. written in 1988. 8 months before the murders. they wouldn’t have done it for the money anyway because they didn’t think they had the will due to their father telling them they were out of it because of erik’s burglaries. they were told to buy some new fresh stuff for the memorial. some people think because they were rich, it was lyle’s way of coping due to depression after the loss of his father.
after watching the series, I still didn't understand if they were telling the truth about domestic violence and if they really believed that they wanted to kill them? their father seemed tough, but not so bad. It's been worse. after watching the series, it seemed to me that my father was trying to teach them independence, to bring them down from heaven to earth. He has achieved a lot with his own work. while the children themselves thoughtlessly squandered his money. I almost believed that they killed their parents for money, they were afraid to be left with nothing. If only domestic violence was to blame, then they could leave. Isn't it? Two grown guys could have gone their own way, escaped from their terrible parents and not killed them. Why did one of the brothers tell the psychologist about the murder? was it real, too, or was it made up for the series? It was stupid-if so! now many people believe them, justify them, consider them victims, but is this really the case? What real evidence is there besides their words? Psychopaths, by the way, are very good manipulators, very good actors. they cry in court, talking about their life with a tyrannical father, but how sincere are their tears?
Most of this stuff is not true Lyle and Erik never has a romantic relationship and Lyle was never that mean some of it is true but a lot is fake witch this is a very sad story
