Para sa mga aspiring lawyers and law students, I will share with you some tips on how to survive and conquer law school and eventually become a lawyer.

Thank you po for inspiring us, Atty! I'm currently in my 2nd year in law school at the same time a CPA working full time. Sobrang hirap po :'( A lot of times nag aabsent ako sa school kasi uuwi na ako sa work ng madaling araw kasi usual na ang overtime, deadlines and reports. I wanted to quit my work para maka focus sa law school, kaso lang my work is my only financial support for law school. I didn't do well sa law school like I have been sa undergrad. It really pains me kasi pagod na ako from work tas mag aral pa sa gabi. Minsan my classmates caught me na nakatulog na sa class sa sobrang pagod, parang hindi na natakot yung pagod ko matawag sa recit ba :'( Pero my heart really wants me to be a lawyer in the near future. Up until now I'm looking for inspirational videos sa youtube and I found yours. Hopefully God will sustain me through the end. Thank you for sharing your tips po 😊
Just stick to your goal to become a lawyer. I can relate since accountant din ako and I know how difficult it can be. Pero kaya yan! One sem at a time. Eventually you’ll graduate and become a lawyer too. All the best!

i can relate pero on top of that meron pa akong anak. . it is doomsday talga kasi pandemic. Ayaw mag study without me.. it is like siya ang mag give up or ako mag give up ,.mag unload ng goals,,, (whew) i have to drop subjects .. 😭😭😭 and i cannot excel in school too.. breaks my ♥️... 😭😭

yes laban lang! Meron talagang bad days sa law school and pati na rin sa life in general pero bawi lang tayo and focus on our goal. Don’t be disheartened. Keep on fighting and you’ll get to your goal one day. Goodluck!
Thank you for this one Atty., I am currently a 3rd year irregular law student and have a full time job as a teacher. Sometimes I feel stress out knowing that my batchmates are already graduating while I am not for I decrease my load when I enter DepEd. My work is also demanding and my workmates don't understand my situation. Your words really help me. Thanks.
You’re welcome Sir! Don’t mind your batchmates. We all have our personal circumstances and our own pace. Stick to your goal to graduate from law school and eventually become a lawyer. Just be mindful of any residency rule in your law school. :) Goodluck!

I’ve been planning also to proceed law-school, after I’ve graduate my BS- Social work degree . Now I’m in 3rd year college,so hopefully after I graduate next year ,I can really proceed for what I’ve been dreaming to be in the future.( to be a lawyer).🙏🏻❤️

I'm having doubts about pursuing law school because this is a big shift in my career. Also, I'm gonna be supporting my siblings and myself. I have so much respect to CPAs who took up law and eventually became lawyers. Most of them were really good in class. Some were even topnotchers in the bar exam.

Atty, this inspires me to go on as a lawyer in the future. I am an incoming second year of college, taking the degree of BS Criminology. Thank you for this Atty., just a few days back I was already contemplating of quitting work to focus full-time on my studies, then again I realized I can't kasi I have a family to feed.
Madaming beses din po akong napaisip na mag quit pero laban lang po. Kung kaya pa pong pagsabayin gawin po. Kung kailangan naman po magbawas ng load okay lang din po ang importante po maka graduate din at maging abogado sa huli. Goodluck po!

Thank you attorney on this topic, I am planning to take law school possibly after I finish my master's degree. I am also thinking if during my schooling in Law school, shall I quit my job as social worker or case manager in DSWD-Adoption setting or be a working student. But now I am enjoying my job since it gives me more knowledge about different cases related to children who are abandoned, abused, neglected etc. Thank you. This video inspires me the most.
try not to quit your job lalo na you’re in government, but if it becomes difficult to juggle work and law school, you know what to prioritize. Good luck!

I'm currently working as a clinical research associate pero my dream is really to be a lawyer talaga. hays. I really want to work and study pero di ko alam if kakayanin ko tbh since sa work rin namin, limpak limpak na readings rin araw araw.

After three years I will also apply to UP Law and work in QC. Naghohold back lang konti kasi hindi ako UP grad ☹️ and baka hindi ako makapasa sa LAE. I’m currently residing in the province atty, thank you for this ☺️
Huwag kang mag hold back sir. Madaming from other schools sa UP Law even other schools from the provinces, you just have to study well for the LAE. And kung hindi makuha ng first time, you can still try again ang important hindi tayo susuko until we reach our goal. Goodluck!

Thank you very much for this, Atty. Galang. I am currently in my last year as an undergrad student (BS Legal Management) and I'm a working student. I plan to go straight to law school after this. Kahit kinakaya ko pa so far ang pagiging working student sa undergrad, I tend to overthink kung kakayanin ko pa ba pag sa law school na.

It depends per semester but usually you’ll have a mon-fri class from 6-9pm and a saturday class na 3-6 hrs. Goodluck!

yes, I took the full load for the evening program every semester, usually at 15-18 units. All the best!

Thank you Atty! I am also working full time and currently on my 2nd yr in law school. Ngayon dumating talaga ko sa point na gusto ko na mag quit ng work para maka focus sa law school na talagang dream ko bata palang ako, pero di talaga pwede wala pambayad ng tuition.
Minsan bigla na lang ako naiiyak kasi pagod na pagod na ko sa work tapos di ako makapag aral, parang pag open ko palang ng book ko makakatulog agad ako sa pagod. Feeling ko tuloy di ako ganong ka efficient ngayon compared nung 1st year ako.
Any tips po pag gantong super tambak sa work at pagod pag uwi paano po kayo nakakapag aral maigi. Haha. Thank you po sa tips ! 💕💕💕🤗🤗🤗
May mga ganyan po talagang pagkakataon pero wag po tayong susuko laban lang po. Pag galing po ng work pwede po munang matulog o magpahinga mas maiintindihan po ang binabasa kung nakapahinga ang utak. Sa madaling araw po okay mag aral mas mabilis po ma absorb ang binabasa

My parents and I have been discussing law school for a year. As much as my parentd want me to send to law school, they could not afford. I'm a business ad student. I dont know if I can withstand the exhaustion and demand being a working law student.
You also have the option of saving some money first then enroll yourself in law school when you are already able to.

it really depends sa magiging actual work mo. Work in government is challenging but is more stable in the long run, meron din study leave pag mag Bar Exam ka na. Also, they are supportive sa further studies even abroad. Good luck!

atty. is there an age limit in taking UP law? I'm really concern about it. I'm in the educational course and I'm planning to take the lae after getting myself in a public school, for a better finincial support for law school but it usually takes 2 years to be a public school teacher. at that time I'm around 26 is it possible for me to take the lae? am I qualified?
there’s no age limit po in taking law, as long as you still have the stamina to study for long hours. I have classmates before who were already in their 40s and they managed to graduate too.

possible naman po, requirement lang po ang Certificate of Employment kung magpapalipat sa evening program
Sir kaya po ba makapasok ng Law School let's say average-above average ang grades mo in undergrad but you perform well on the entrance test and interview?
kaya po yan kaso po limited ang slots sa UP Law kaya pataasan po talaga ng grades and scores sa LAE. Goodluck po!

In UP there is an evening program, so lahat ng classes namin ng weekdays nasa gabi talaga from 6-9pm so you can have a regular work from 8am-5pm.

Yes, in UP Diliman po, there’s no UP campus in BGC yet during my time. There’s an evening program po in UP Law.

August ang start ng class sa UP Law. I think you should review for the board exam first and then saka ka mag enter ng law school. You’ll have a hard time reviewing for your board exam while in law school. Goodluck!

yes po mostly nasa internet ang cases, supreme court website, but may profs na nag rerequire ng hard copies. Good luck!

Tuition fee is at 20k-25k per semester depending on the number of units. Yes, UP Law has a lot of scholarships too. Good luck!
