  • Don't really like this scenario. It seems kind of obnoxious how the enemy can choose to simply move its armies down south so quickly like that when you play Sun Jian. The game encourages you to move south with Sun Jian, but if the enemy does the same thing, they could probably just gobble up your land like its a joke. In fact. As I play, it feels like it might have been better to gobble up the north before the enemy instead.

Your assigning the Conquer function on all of your units in the first round, which is the dumbest thing you can do. It simply unlocks the "waste your time" function

I can't stand this scenario. As you pointed out in the description, the Yellow Turbans just bum rush south. Also, He Jin becomes extremely hard to deal with, at least in my attempts.

Lol, nah. I was just messing around using Sun Jian. Because of the game's map painter style, the Yellow Turbans can just wander south really, really quickly and just gobble up everything if He Jin let's them. The game says "ignore the Yellow Turbans." but the Yellow Turbans don't ignore you and so you get stuck fighting a fraction of the Yellow Turbans just to survive while they rapidly expand.

@@BirdOfSpringAndAutumn bru i just finish campaign on Yellow Turban using SunJian, and it's takes 14 Years, or around 72H. YellowTurban annoying, buat the real problem is HeJin Force.

I still wonder why the game insists that this is the era's easiest scenario (2/5 Stars) when pretty much everything is stacked against you:
Starting position, resources and personell, several massive factions outperforming you from the get go, calls to attack you simply can not take due to a lack of manpower, thus worsening your standing with allied factions...
I never quite got the ball rolling with this campaign.

It was easier in older games in the series, it's almost like the creators didn't realize the difference in their newer game, like they didn't test or something.

@@BirdOfSpringAndAutumn I feel like it's more that the majority still doesn't know how exactly they wanted you to play this game.
The whole flow of the overall "economy" is still super cryptic.
Is starving for officers really intended? Is the incredibly slow buildup in district specialization intended? Is Gold > Food (aka dirt cheap food at merchants) intended? Is it intended that you need your strongest general to be stationary to guarantee a steady flow in soldiers?
Most of the numbers game still seems completely counter productive, which makes the overall learning curve that much more daunting.

I played on normal 4 times before I had to switch to Easy and I'm still getting wrecked. These guys just throw insane numbers at you and none of the NPC units do shit to help deal with the Yellow Turbans. Overwhelming odds and can't recruit officers to save my life. 2 star difficulty my ass. Guess I'm a moron.
