Matt Traum (from Patchman Music) plays his vintage Steinerphone EVI (handmade by EVI / EWI inventor Nyle Steiner) connected to a Crumar EVI sound module layered via MIDI (through a custom Steiner / JL Cooper MIDI Wind Driver interface) to an Oberheim Xpander loaded with custom breath controlled patches he programmed. I share this performance of this great composition in honor of the great Chuck Mangione who has been a lifetime musical inspiration for me. Thank you, Chuck Mangione, for all the beautiful compositions and recordings you have given the world over the years. You are a special inspiration to me and so many other horn players. We love ya, brother!

Matt, I enjoyed this rendition of Chase the Clouds Away very much. You are one of the most talented musicians around. I know you are one of the 1st players of the Evi and you have the rare ability and musical taste to be capable of putting your feelings through the wind controller.
PS, I've been a customer of yours since 1990, I also was a former trumpet player who got involved with the WX7 & WX5.

Hi Matt, I just came across this and listen to it again. You really did a great job on it and a nice tasty jazz solo.
I always loves Chuck pension also as I was formally a trumpet player in Flugelhornist.
I love the voice patch that you used on this song, it is so full sounding.
I believe that you programmed a similar sound on the VL 70 M with the turbo chip which I use. However this one is a lot thicker sounding.
Anyhow great job, I always enjoy your playing, you are a great musician.

In this video, I played my EVI _LIVE_ to a backing rhythm section track. It was all direct to a mixer so there is no room noise. This wasn't faked. I’m an actual real musician who can play a song from beginning to end. ❤

These seem to be 2 soundmodules that are layered. So even if you had the patches , you would have to have the soundmodules also I think.
Since your Emeo can send MIDI breath controller data from its breath controller (MIDI CC#2), there are many banks of sounds from Patchman Music for various synths and soft synths that you can use to sound very good like this. See this... www.patchmanmusic.com/WindControllerBanks.html
